What made me confident is I was always slightly overweight from middle school on but I would still manage to be included in social events, parties etc. Anyways I learned quickly that with confidence, faking til you make it was a very real thing. Fake it then you bag one or two girls, your confidence goes up and you have to fake a little less to the point where for sophomore homecoming, I got asked by a girl that was not just taller than me and gorgeous in general but had just broken up with like…

Well I know a half a lifetime of opiate abuse fucked with my natural testosterone production/reception in the brain, by the time I was 26, my blood levels were that of an 80 year old. My marriage was from 22 - 29yo so yeah that may have contributed, actually it most definitely contributed to it. I remember being assertive AF and as a matter of fact my ex had a BF when I met her and I swooper her but you lose em how you find them, right? While she had the courtesy not to ever flaunt any kind of a…

If you ask me today, I'd tell you how much I hate OLD and my success rate is basically zero as far as relationships go. Ask me ~13 years ago though, they had just released what was essentially the first dating app onto the iOS app store: Loopt Mixed. I signed up and when I got on, the nearest girl was in a city about an hour and a half drive away. I shot my shot, started dating and ended up married to her for a wonderful 8 years. My point,: just as others have said, sometimes some of us will hav…

Agreed. It’s been like a chain reaction. Losing the weight has improved my mental health which is physically visible in the way I carry myself and this girl from the the kitchen, super cute, never used to give me the time of day. Now since the weight loss we’ve gone out to in n out after work and I notice she’s been kinda hanging around after she closes down the kitchen while I close up the front patio and dining room and she’s asked me for rides home every day this week. I picked up on a few th…

Do you have success with that approach? The problem I've been having lately is kinda two or three fold. I was married for a decade and divorced right before the pandemic so I didn't get much dating on. The marriage and divorce itself took a toll on my self esteem. I had always been somewhat overweight but before I got married, when I would get somewhat in shape, I had no problem speaking to and picking up women at parties, at their workplace, hell even one time I was doing some court ordered vol…

It's sounds like you already know AND feel like you need a social media presence. Trust me it's not my favorite thing either but I know that in this world of online dating, people want to be able to "vet" you in a way by going through your social media. It shows off any hobbies, is a good indicator of whether you have a social life and it could possibly reveal some red flags. As a man, if I get to check a potential dates Instagram and the entire first page loaded is the same damn selfie angle I …

For me I've been fulfilling my needs through the people I meet at work who I will sometimes see later that night at the bars I use a bit of ketamine and other psychoactives to help me work through things at My own pace.

Ok two things. Lose that "do women think it's creepy if" attitude. It's self defeating. People don't like cold sale approaches but you seem to be good at it. Approaching women is essentially selling yourself in a less obvious and braggy way. You're showing you're value as a man and that you have the confidence to approach. Having said that, there are certain places where women just flat out do not like being approached in an attempt to pick them up. From the little knowledge I have those places …

I hate that the word creep gets thrown around so easily nowadays. Happen to see what kind of drink a girl ordered and send one her way? You're a creep. Exchange numbers but you mess up and text her that night that it was nice meeting her and wish her a good night, you must be a creep and a serial killer. The moment you start being an asshole and take her off the pedestal, all of a sudden your stock goes way the fuck up and she's chasing you. She'll "randomly" friend you on facebook. (creep) or s…

What I've noticed about this sub is that the advice used to be a lot more direct, feelings be damned. If someone asked "why am I not seeing success?" someone would be blunt and list the things that they should work on. IMO any other way of responding is doing the OP a disservice because trying to sugar coat things or holding back will either make OP think he is fine and the problem is with the women or he will just not be able to make sense of the "friendly" advice. I'm a firm believer in hone…

I've recently started doing keto diet 3 months ago and already I'm slimmer now in my 30's than I was in my 20's. Down 42lbs in those 3 months. Yes a lot of it was probably muscle too but I had plenty of extra weight to lose and can still just add a bunch of protein to my diet and start working out once I get sub 200 lbs. It's funny because last semester was the first semester they allowed people to actually come to campus for class at the local community college and I was there bright and early,…

I honestly have no idea. I was married for most of my 20s but got divorced right at 30. Put on some weight through the pandemic am now slimmer in my 30s than I was in my 20s. Still have my hair (knock on wood) and I've gotten my confidence back up. I remember being 18,19, 20 and picking girls up doing (court ordered) volunteer hours at a food bank. One time a girl I bummed a smoke off in my parents apt complex. Nowadays I go out tonight the bars to play pool and will get approached rarely, when …

I spent my entire adult life thinking I was 5'5" and yet never really felt self conscious. I recently went on an OL-Date with a girl who had her height listed as 5'6" and I figured I might as well let her know that we'd probably be about the same height in case if was going to be a problem. She didn't mind and when I got there I found out we were the same height. I later confirmed that either I had grown an inch since being on TRT or I've been wrong about being 5'5" my whole life because I measu…

Thank you for the feedback. I honestly was this close to becoming a cynical asshole after my divorce. 10 years, put her through school expecting to have my chance to go back after. If I'm being honest though, she gave me a good two years after she graduated and was making good money to get my shit together and go to school but I kept changing majors and skipping class. I can't blame her at all for being ready to take the next step in life. The house, kids, white picket fence. It was after I came…

I'm a few years shy of 35 but I've recently started a keto or low-catb diet and have lost 38lbs in the last three months putting me at about the size I was in my early 20s and in line to be fitter in my 30s than I was in my 20s. I actually got married young and divorced after 10 years but still had a few years of chasing tail in my late teens early 20s. I tend to disagree. Whenever I spot a girl with older shoes, and rva crappy car, etc, it usually correlates with lowered self esteem and a lower sense of what they demand in a partner.

Youre not a horrible woman. You're being rational. But you also have to accept that men have certain predisposed qualities they like in girls. For one, if you're always lobbying for the tall dark and handsome, you must know that you are one of many many options that man has at any given moment and when you have a roster that's pretty much tied in the looks department, it falls next to personality and knowing that although something may be true in the world, you don't have to open your mouth and …

I’m sorry but you made it way to easy by posting a picture I’m assuming was flattering in another post. I would be surprised if many fat short guys would want to bust inside a girl with the body of a tween
/r/seduction12/06/22 10:04 PM

The funny thing is that a girl with a decent head on her shoulders will just as easily be swooned by a short guy with confidence as a tall guy with awkward tendencies. It’s always nice when women are open about their flawed personality to avoid a guy wasting effort and time trying to foster a relationship with said woman

If it helps, I’m imagine that she’s doing the same thing in her head. Also this can be applied to the courtroom. “It’s not what you know, it’s what you can prove in court.”

not only will body language help in all that, it will also help you in almost every facet of life. In dating though: not only do you want to be on top of what your body language is saying vs what you want it to say, you also have to read your potential dates body language. I don't remember if I read it somewhere but good practice is to go to a mall food court with a bud, grab a seat. Take turns picking out a table and trying to guess the situation based on body language. You'll get pretty good

My date to sophomore homecoming was A. SMOKING HOT, B. A good 3 inches taller than me, C. Asked me to the dance, and D. She now works as in the fashion industry and while not a model by title, she has the looks

See if this helps. While in situations like bars, hook up spots, etc... what is being said isn't nearly as important as how its being said. Having said that. Outside that zone, like say you are in college class together, that's more of a long term game and you would be surprised how little all the things you worry about matter when you are able to tell girls exactly what they want to hear and mean it.

I think you are able to see part of your problem in how deep you analyze things. Some might say overanalyze but you do have a point. "Fake it til you make it" does indeed work and you actually reach a critical point where you aren't in fact faking it anymore and have actually gained confidence from the theoretical romantic success you'd have.

This is what is meant when people who have been enlightened (like you) say “fake it until you make it.” Because there will come a day where because of the success you’ve had using “techniques” or “tricks” you will feel natural charisma, grace, and a personality that makes people want to be around you and you will notice that it will be coming naturally. At this point, you will no longer feel the need to use tricks or psychology anymore and that will further boost your self esteem. That will be t…

This. I used to worry non stop about being “a creep” until I too noticed just how easily that word is thrown around. Also after seeing many women go home with these “creeps” later in the evening. I’ve come to the conclusion that many times girls will use “omg what a creep” to gauge their friends opinion about a potential suitor without giving their own positive opinion, in case the friends don’t feel that way. A women cares very much what her friends think. That’s until about beef number 4 or 5.

It messed up but when I’m personally feeling a little insecure in a date, I feel a little relieved when I spot an obvious insecurity in my date. For many women this might be an older, or beat up car. And shoes. A girls shoes tell tales

I’m the biggest introvert and a huge psycho analyst of myself and others and what I’ve noticed makes people like others or dislike them is, charismatic people can completely change the mood in a room. They can make everyone laugh and not at any bodies expense. People look forward to hanging out with X because he always has good stories (never got known as the guy who makes things up) oh and always welcome new people in and make them feel welcomed. Now the guys people always complained about woul…

Nope. I think people think faking it means lieing about what you do or other stuff like that. It means you need to do things that are out of your comfort zone. After several successful attempts at whatever you’re trying, it will no longer feel forced. Hence “till you make it”
