That's one way to look at it, however if it wasn't for American/Western imperialism I would still live in a communist country.

Hmm, good point you have there, but I'm not really sure if the law about household works like that here. What you're saying sounds much more like common law system. We're a continental law oriented system and it's much more formal in that regard. If we're not married and there is no contract/my signature then the state can fuck off.

As time goes on women here will probably be more open to the idea of living together, but not being married. And there are lots of couples that are doing that, however it will take time as we become more and more "westernized" shall I say. (This is not in a negative context).

Coming from an eastern European male I see a little misconception about eastern European women here. The west has a big influence in eastern Europe as you know and women here are pretty much like western women in one way or another. Especially women from the inner city.
