You just showed why it is a poor choice of words. If you had said 'they want every rape accusation to be a big deal for them' that woul make more sense, because since there are false accusations these indeed shouldn't be taken seriously (other than to prosecute them) but saying "they want rape to a be big deal", well, rape, i.e. real rape, is a big deal. They want it to be a big deal when they're raped That's a pretty bad choice of words. It is a big deal if someone is raped, whether a boy or a girl. As it also is a big deal to make false accusations. No one is "wanting to make it a big deal", it is pretty fucking big already.
