To be honest for a long time it's not something I understood either. Every male I have talked to on the subject of violence and being attacked in while walking alone has always scoffed at my worries and then taught me proper methods to defend myself (which I definitely appreciated). It was this constant response that led me to believe that violence isn't something men worry about. Recently though I met a guy who actually told me he is worried about and gets particularly freaked out walking throu…

This has made me love Alan Cumming even more. This is such an amazing article. I think I might have to show this to my boyfriend. It is alarming that in this day and age it is more normal for a male to have mutilated genitals. I don't think it makes someone less or more of a "man" either way it just frightens me that it's still something that happens and makes me feel for males who have been circumcised that they don't get to enjoy as much sexual pleasure as they are entitled to. Though I suppos…

I suppose I didn't make that clear. I don't think they would be based on this one thing alone, but I can't stop them from having children.

I don't think it detracts from someone's skills as a parent, but it would make me worried for the child that someone who sees manipulation as okay if it serves their best interest is raising it. There are a lot of people who shouldn't raise children, but unfortunately you can't stop them.

This is disgusting. Manipulating someone into having a child with you without their consent is a good way to show that person how little you respect them. The lack of concern for the man's rights in this article is appalling.

There is caring for someone you love and being there for them and then there is sacrificing yourself unnecessarily and being controlled by another person, guess which one this applies to? I really hate things like that. If a guy tried to make "Girls become Women when they..." All hell would break loose. This simply should not exist.

Ah yes, how could I forget the early religious pseudo science of early human history? Also invisible sky wizard is brilliant.

Regardless of sex why does genital mutilation exist? Who ever thought this was okay and how did they get people to go along with it? No one's genitals should be sliced up even by choice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
