I recommend taking a social dance class like salsa or swing. That way, you are put into positions where you are forced to touch women and it's totally normal.

Like it or not, physical appearance does provide an advantage in society. If two guys who are both fun and charming hit on a girl, but one is a male model and the other is a normal guy, who do you think the girl's going to choose? But I'm not saying average Joe should give up just because he's not hot. Everyone should strive to be the best version of themselves they can be to improve their chances.

To get the majority of girls to say yes, yeah, I think you do need the full package. But even if you're not blessed with perfect genes, you can still achieve success. Just not on this level.

I have a friend who's pretty tall and good looking and all he does is just stand there in the club and girls will come right up to him and start flirting with him every single time we go out. He never makes any effort at all to walk up to someone himself since he's too shy. We never understand how that works.

Social anxiety is merely worrying what others might think of you. Everyone has it to some degree (unless you're some kind of sociopath who can't empathize with people). Because extroverts tend to have good social skills from naturally practicing so much, they are adept at breaking through the initial awkwardness and so get over the anxiety quite quickly. An introvert can also learn to get rid of their social anxiety as well, though it might take longer since they aren't generally around people a…

Improving anything you don't like about yourself. Are you overweight? Go workout and count those calories. Are you skinny? Start eating more. Do you have any interesting hobbies? If not, go find some. Are you shy? Break out of your comfort zone and talk to people. Have you gotten a college degree yet? If not, better hit those books. Always wanted to try living in a foreign country? What's stopping you? There's basically limitless ways you can develop yourself.

It's not hard-wired. It's a trainable skill. In high school, I had zero friends, was picked last in sports, and the only people I talked to were my WoW friends online. I got sick of that so when I went to college, I decided to hit the reset button and worked my ass off to make friends and be sociable. Now I have absolutely zero problems talking to people and turned something I dreaded into something I love. But that was a slow process over 10 years. It's not going to happen overnight.

Join a club that involves something you're interested in or something new you've always wanted to try. Definitely the easiest way to talk to people since you already know you have something in common. You can focus on talking about the activity itself rather than your own life if you don't have much to say about it. In my case, at the age of 23, I went and studied abroad in a foreign country that I always wanted to go to. It's extremely liberating to know that since no one knows you, you can pre…

Sounds like it's time to either get that license or move. Obviously, it's not that easy, but if you are truly unhappy, you should do something about it instead of waiting for something miraculous to happen. High risk brings high rewards.

If you have a hang up over where you can dance or not, perhaps take dance classes. But honestly, nobody cares if you can dance or not. The majority of people at bars don't know how to dance either. What's important is having fun and feeling the music. Even if your dance is complete shit, people will respect you for at least trying. As long as you're not wailing your arms into someone's face like an animal, you'll be fine. I'm usually one of the best dancers in the club but I can tell you from ex…

Generally, people take headphones as a sign that you aren't open to talk. Plus, it can be a pain to get someone's attention if they can't hear you so most people don't bother. If you want to look open to talk, then headphones off.

Freud's theories are all almost universally debunked by modern psychoanalysts. Wouldn't recommend quoting him for future reference.

It could be that you did nothing wrong per se. She obviously likes you enough to invite you along, but not enough to spend time together just 1 on 1. There could be a multitude of reasons for this. It could be she's just not physically attracted to you. Do you dress fashionably? Do you work out? Do you keep your hair stylish? Or it could be she doesn't find you emotionally stimulating enough. Do you make her laugh a lot? Are you unafraid to be silly and crack jokes? Do you tease her? Close frien…

If you don't have much to talk about, then that means you don't have enough experiences to draw from. Take up a new hobby you can do regularly like martial arts, rock climbing, or dancing. Travel to a different city/country. Learn a new skill or language. Join a local meetup group. You're guaranteed to have stuff to talk about if you're doing things all the time. "Hey, do you know how to dance?" "Yeah? How long you been dancing for? Who's your favorite dancer?" or "No? Here, let me tell you abou…

What's even better is that since most guys don't dance, these social dance lessons almost always have far more girls than guys. You're a hot commodity there. I always have girls coming up to ME asking if I can dance with them. Salsa in particular is great for this. I don't even like salsa music but the dancing part is fantastic.

Try to flip this around from the other perspective. If someone asked you what your major was and what you were doing later, would you find that fun conversation? People get asked these questions all the time. They get really repetitive and boring after a while. Try to find more interesting topics to talk about. Tease her, guess her personality, accuse her of stupid things, talk about that thing you're excited for, etc. Anything that will provoke emotion in her, whether it's good or bad. Don't be…

If you're not used to smiling, then you need to practice. It usually comes naturally to most people but not for everyone. I had problems smiling too. But one day I grabbed a mirror, tried out different ways to smile, and kept doing it every morning until I was comfortable with it. An important tip is to use your eyes when you smile, not just your mouth. A smile without squinting your eyes is a fake smile and people can tell. But if you use your eyes, not only does it look real, it feels real too…

I feel like this is a cultural thing. Works alright in America. Not so well in other countries.

Whenever I take a salsa lesson, I'm almost always the youngest guy there (24). In general, the female:male ratio is at minimum 1:1 but in most cases, it's 2:1 since guys for whatever reason don't take up partner dance. Because of the scarcity of guys, you practically never get rejected.

You're going to have to break out of your comfort zone if you want to improve yourself. It's definitely not easy. What's worse, living safe but unhappy or taking risks but having the time of your life?

Turn it around and ask them the same questions they asked you. Or search for nouns in whatever the last thing someone said and turn that into a new topic. Or look around your environment and make a comment about it.

Definitely dancing. You can get quite good at it pretty easily too just by spending a few minutes watching Youtube videos. If you go to a Salsa club/bar, the female:male ratio is incredible. You can pretty much go up to anyone, hold out your hand, and they'll dance with you no questions asked. As a guy, you have to learn how to lead your partner, which directly translates outside of dancing as well.

That was fantastic! TLDW; Scientific study about things that effect attraction: Body shape - Women prefer broad shoulders/chest and slim waist (the V shape). Pheromones - The more genetically different you are, the more attractive the scent. Social status - People with more money or look/dress like they do, are considerably more attractive. Menstruation timing - Women who are ovulating prefer masculine features over feminine features. Reverse is true when not ovulating. Women are more likely to …

Whenever I high five, instead of bouncing off their hands, I hold it there and interlace my fingers with theirs. Easy way to transition into a hand hold.

Make friends with everyone else first and have them all comfortable with you. Then hone in on the girl you like.

You could have him as a wing and introduce you two. Like "Hey, this is my friend Avacell. He is/does "interesting thing here". Then you take it from there. That way you get some social proof and some DHV. I don't think it'd be a good idea to have him tell her you like her though. That's your job.

Probably the best time to do it actually. If they know nothing about you, they'll assume you're just a touchy kind of guy and that's what you do to everyone. It won't come off as awkward if you don't make it awkward.
