What would you say was the issue with the counseling? A failure to follow through on the work? Was the failure one sided? Asking yourself questions like these will help you gain to insight into the deeper issues and whether or not they can be repaired.

How can your ex afford for the kids to live with her then? You see what Im saying? The judge isnt going to cut the legs off of the one income the kids rely on in order to let your ex just live free off of your back. It doesnt work that way. Just talk to a good family lawyer. It will help you out with a lot of this worry and stress.

I just dont get why you think that is what you will end up paying. Get a good lawyer and take her to court. I was a Family Advocacy Liaison during my active duty years. We helped plenty of guys and gals through the family court and divorce court process. I never saw someone get a completely one sided deal in 8 years. There are specific formulas for living expenses and support calculations. Are you just giving up custody completely? Thats the only way i would see a judge agreeing to almost half y…

She doesn’t sound responsible enough to be the main custodial parent. Get a good lawyer and work this out.

Hard agree. Its definitely not limited to one gender. Its a human issue.

I would say that there are more women like you described than there are good women. That said, the good ones do exist. When you find one, never let her go and keep your shit together. Work hard to keep both of you happy. It’s worth it. So many men pick the bad ones. Why? She was the hottest option? The sex was amazing? She said all the right things? Pay attention to EVERY red flag and don’t marry her until you have lived together for a 5 years +. Better yet, find a woman that doesn’t expect marr…

A good parent protects their children from all harm. Especially bad role-models. Protecting their mind, their development, the core values they accept and use in life. Its all important. A dishonest cheating parent is going to teach a child that dishonesty and cheating is the way. A good parent would do what they can to protect their child’s development from people that may affect their self-esteem or integrity. Would you be happy if you found out your kid was hanging out with a crowd that shopl…

First off, you need to really evaluate yourself. You need personal accountability. You are married with a kid, why are you going out to the bar with the boys? Why are you drinking and driving? Why wasnt this the first time she had seen you sloppy? There is a pattern and a reason for her choice. Be real with yourself.

There is no replacement theory involved here. She was always that person on the inside. Always. Its important that people dont romanticize a partner. Thats why dating and vetting for YEARS before marriage is so serious. People that date and marry because of social clocks or because they are “in love” are doomed for divorce.

If your post is real you should be fighting for full custody. Anything less would make you a shit father. Your job as a man is to protect your children from degen adults, especially if its their mother.

This is the way. If she asks why, just say “you know why” and walk away.

Honestly, I blame people like OP. You know your Ex. You knew her when you dated. You knew here when you got married. You are the one that helped that person create a child, just to mistreat them. Just like they mistreated you, for most likely a very long time. People who ignore the red flags create situations like this. Not trying to just tare you down Op. too many people marry and have kids with people they should not. Most people do it. Its fucked up. Poor friggin kid. Pick better humans with …
