Post-mortem analysisDidn't expect sympathy at school of hard knocks RPers! haha Thanks | /r/askMRP | 22/01/17 08:12 AM
Post-mortem analysisWell, it was a big deal for her. Took almost 1 year to convince her to have sex outside of wedlock. I was "spinning plates" at the time so I could be patient. But she has proven that she is capable of anything, so who knows! | /r/askMRP | 22/01/17 08:11 AM
Post-mortem analysisI did the mental illness deep dive already. Some shared traits but I agree with BluepillProfessor that I couldn't find enough overlapping qualities. I actually really hoped I could label her with some mental illness so I could rationalize the blame away from her shitty actions to some degree. Thank you for your above post as well. It gives me some good perspective. | /r/askMRP | 22/01/17 08:03 AM
Post-mortem analysisThanks for the links, very informative. I agree that her mindset appears to be that she wants a break-up initiated by me, but the real remorse article is great as a barometer. | /r/askMRP | 21/01/17 01:45 AM
Post-mortem analysisI'm confused by this. The RP mantra seems to be to take responsibility for what happens in your relationship (while being reasonable that you are only 50% of the equation), no? I mean, I believe I kept a strong frame from day 1 - she even commented that I have been consistent forever only that her feelings have changed. I just figured that maybe I didn't give enough comfort or that I didn't have enough dread as marriage continued. Discovered the manosphere too late and already told her I would n… | /r/askMRP | 21/01/17 01:28 AM
Post-mortem analysisCan't deny some degree of oneitis. Not sure how I could have vetted better: young (met at 24), one past relationship + virgin (religious so no sex), attractive, previous scarring from cheating (ie, cheated by first relationship+brother's divorce), happy family with no childhood trauma, ok with traditional roles, not lazy, etc. I am definitely grapping with AWALT as you stated - I don't believe AWALT, but don't have the confidence to improve my screening ability. I honestly did not think she woul… | /r/askMRP | 21/01/17 01:14 AM
Post-mortem analysisHow do you plan to have kids without marriage? Tough to keep a zero tolerance policy once the scepter of child support comes into play, no? | /r/askMRP | 21/01/17 01:03 AM
Post-mortem analysisI agree with the edit. She could have popped out a kid and locked me into 18 years of misery, but is letting me off the hook apparently. Lawyer is still good to open up some negotiation room in case she turns irrational, but I don't intend to be vindictive. Of course she could have just broken it off and not messed with my head. One last time I take charge and do what she does not have the courage to do. | /r/askMRP | 21/01/17 12:59 AM
Post-mortem analysisI do not think all women cheat, and I do not disagree that I had a hand in it. My intention was to say that I chose my wife based on my own unicorn checklist (young, virgin, deeply religious, ok with traditional roles, etc) and that if I failed with this one, I don't know how I can screen even better. I think "AWALT" is never true. Even the biological urge stuff - I'm sure some women have some mental illness or hormone imbalance that distorts it for them. Anything that can be evolved can be unev… | /r/askMRP | 20/01/17 09:26 PM
Post-mortem analysisWell, to your point, people already have surrogate mothers after they fertilize the eggs. I guess the next logical step is to use DNA directly vs donated sperm/egg. The lesbian baby thing is interesting.. I admit I have never thought of it that way. However, one positive impact is that if there are lots of women, then maybe the current dynamic will change (ie, way more women than men) so they will work harder to keep the average guy because of the increased competition. | /r/askMRP | 20/01/17 09:00 PM
Post-mortem analysisThat is amazing. Your dad is an inspiration to everyone! Just wondering - you have kids? That was the only reason why I got married to begin with. Goal still not accomplished (which in this case is good I guess?), but is the only lingering point. Otherwise, my mindset is with you 100%. | /r/askMRP | 20/01/17 08:51 PM
Post-mortem analysisWhen I wrote it, it did not seem like a puke. But reading it, it does seem like a puke. Guess everyone has to puke sometime! | /r/askMRP | 20/01/17 08:48 PM
| -1 | redirected to askMRP and rightfully so...Maybe you read slow - combined its only ~400 pages of easy reading. Fast reader can do 1 page/minute = 7 hours. Average reader can do 1 page/2 minutes (~200 words/minute) = 14 hours. Plenty of time left to sleep. Take it easy on the bravado. | /r/askMRP | 20/01/17 03:45 PM |
