Nun mode doesn’t matter to a man who is attracted to you and wants you to be his girlfriend or partner. You will however need to let go of the anxiety you have around “running out of time” because men can sense that a mile away. You really need to make peace with yourself and your life as you begin dating, otherwise the process of dating will erode your self esteem and you’ll end up settling for a jerk or loser. You need to have at least one hobby that gets you out of the house, like social danc…

For me, it would be off putting because I’d be waiting for the other shoe to drop. When is he going to expect me to reciprocate his feelings? Is he going to expect sex from me?

Agreed. At the end of OPs post she even says that they already talk about this subject regularly. I think if she starts pressuring him about her anxiety over this it will push him away.

He may change his mind when you actually get pregnant. Risky choice to make though, but it’s not uncommon for a woman to decide to stay home only after she’s had the baby. Some people think they can do daycare but once they have a baby they realize they can’t hand it off to a stranger daily.

I think it depends on the true reason for picking the ring. If your reason for picking the $100 ring is because you don’t want someone else to spend more money on you, then check in with your self esteem. I’m not saying it’s definitely low, just that it’s worth checking in with yourself and making sure that you’re not minimizing your true desires. The same sentiment goes for people seeking big diamond rings, they should check in with why? Are they doing it to impress other people? Do they get mo…

I agree. And also agree with u/thefeminineframe that red pill is descriptive of most natural human behavior. So most men who have “red pill values” don’t even necessarily know that because they aren’t all up in the ideology websites and podcasts all day. That’s why it seems silly in my opinion for OP to be discussing it with anyone, much less a guy who is a stranger.

Him being sexually pushy this early on is a huge red flag, so you dodged a bullet. Next time though, don’t talk about red pill ideology or hypergamy with any man. They’re unlikely to ever understand your point of view. And well rounded, genuine men aren’t so concerned by the details of this ideology, they’re looking more at your behavior and how your behavior represents your values. You can walk around and tell everyone that you’re a good and loyal woman, but your behavior will reveal whether or…

First, you need to stop thinking of yourself as unattractive. Even if in your head it’s objectively true, you need to change that voice. Every time you feel yourself thinking “I’m unattractive” make yourself stop and say “I’m attractive” or “I look pretty” Next, I noticed you said that you try to be bubbly and happy. Are you putting on an act? Maybe people can sense that your bubbliness is an act and it rubs people the wrong way. Try relaxing and not being bubbly. You can be kind without being b…

“Redemption and change are possible through conscious, deliberate action.” You need to work on identifying your positive traits and sense of self. Read this archetype description of Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy. Do you identify with it a bit? As you work on growth and change, don’t be afraid to keep some of the occurrences from your past private, especially with new people that you meet. You have nothing to be ashamed of! But you need to learn discernment of who is worthy of knowing your …

I am not one to usually encourage ANYONE to get an abortion. However. You need to think long and hard about whether or not you want to raise a baby all by yourself because this man does not sound interested in you or having a happy family together. I apologize if that’s harsh, I’m trying to balance a fine line of honesty and kindness.

A worthwhile man will make the first move, it’s the very first thing they do to set the tone of the future relationship. I would not recommend asking a man out because he may say yes just because he is bored, so it will be a waste of your time. Since you don’t even know if he has a girlfriend you should just spend a few more weeks getting to know him as a person. That alone will give him plenty of opportunities to ask you out if he is interested in you. Keep it simple at first by saying hi, aski…

He is doing all of that in order to secure his position at work and provide for you. I encourage my husband to go to happy hours, networking events, and things like that because I know it helps him excel in his role at work which he takes a lot of pride in (and also enjoys his work and coworkers).

do you have a habit of doing that? Ugh, yes.

I think it’s maybe a weird complacency thing. Like when we were dating, and the first few years of marriage, his game was insane - romantic, passionate, etc. I can’t emphasize enough that I hit the jackpot with my husband - he really does have it all. It is just this one little thing that crept up about a year ago that has me thinking “wtf?” Ugh I guess I will just be direct with him about it, I’m just anxious because I don’t want him to feel weird or uncomfortable.

Yeah, I just don’t want him to feel emasculated or insulted. It’s such a small thing that irks me so I am scared that saying something directly about it will make him feel insecure or insulted.

Seducers take pleasure in performing and are not weighed down by their identity. This freedom of theirs, this fluidity in body and spirit, is what makes them attractive. So am I not being a good seducer because, while I enjoy the whole process of being and making myself attractive for my husband, I am weighed down? I basically just want to tell him in the most loving way possible “hey, when I am initiating sex or dressed up for you, please don’t try to make it about getting cheap laughs from me.…

Thank you. Yes, it’s not a huge deal but it’s just this little thing. Like I just said in another comment, I put sooo much effort into being attractive and ready for sex and physical intimacy - all I want in return is to feel like my effort is taken seriously, not like some horny teenager. Like how hard is it to say “fuck, you are so sexy” when you come home to a clean home, homemade dinner, and your wife in an outfit that she knows you love? That’s literally all I want from him. I want to feel …

I don’t think he has fantasies of being dominated at all, he likes to be the more assertive one during sex (pining me down, deciding positions, etc). The playful/silly stuff isn’t sexy at all, literally all I want is for him to tell me (and show me) how hot he thinks I am when I’m showing off for him, ya know? Like I put in all this effort to be attractive and I have new rotations of lingerie, so I want to feel like the effort is worth it. When he acts silly about it, it makes me feel unattracti…

We have been together for 5 years, married for a little over 3. This whole situation didn’t start until about a year ago (after we were married).

He told me I was "An ordinary woman, with an ordinary blend of virtues and vices, and that doesn't merit a passionate response." First of all, I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I think the best course of action is for you to keep doing what you’ve described in your post (taking care of the kids, staying busy) and potentially trying to find hobbies or careers that you can go to without your husband. Maybe a book club or sewing class? Or a fitness class? It sounds to me like you’re hold…

Your comment about cheap pregnancy tests is so accurate. In my opinion, women who are sexually active should be taking a pregnancy test at least once per month regardless of whether or not they use contraception. I am on the fence about abortion overall. I do agree it is killing a life, but I also think it’s wrong to make a 13 year old girl give birth if she doesn’t want to. I also think it’s wrong to wait very long to have the abortion - I once read that the abortion pill only works up to the t…

Thank you! Yeah more than anything I just want to prevent myself from drifting further and further into this rut. My husband is the classic high libido+intense/stressful job combo, and even though he’s really understanding when I’m not in the mood I also don’t want to just make it a habit. Such a difficult balance sometimes

Yeah I fell off the exercise wagon a few months ago and I definitely think it has been a contributing factor for all of this. I feel like I’ve been a major bum for the past month or so. I need to get a routine going again

I haven’t had my thyroid specifically checked, but I do have PCOS which effects my hormones and I do my best to combat it with diet and exercise but I did fall off the exercise wagon a few months ago. I’m going to start doing morning walks at minimum and I’m hoping the new workout clothes from lululemon help inspire me to keep if up

I think to give him the confidence he needs to be comfortable living off just his income, you both have to start acting like you can live off just his income. Over the next year or so, start trying to put as much of your paycheck as possible into savings (or if you have credit card debt start aggressively paying that off), while only using his paycheck for necessities (food, housing, clothes as needed, etc.). Some couples rush into the stay at home mom phase way too fast. The couples who you see…

Hello! Husband and I will be 30 next year, we currently have no kids. He wants at least 2, I’ve always wanted a big family with 3-4 kids but now that I’m approaching 30 I’m getting nervous and scared. I can’t help wondering whether or not we’re ready for kids, I wonder if I/we will regret not traveling more. He will be an absolutely amazing father - when we have kids I truly believe he will be a shining role model and father for them. Any current moms/wives have experience with these types of fe…

If you’re just looking to get a pulse on what some trends are in fashion, I recommend Who What Wear. They take what’s trending in fashion weeks and Instagram and put them into articles/blog posts with plenty of sample photos. For example, tight fitting mock neck tops are trending right now and would be an easy way to upgrade a normal “tee shirt and jeans” look.

I think it does have an element of game to it, for sure. It actually surprises me how many similarities red pill women and the infamous female dating strategy subreddit have when it comes to vetting men and having high expectations for boyfriends/husbands. I definitely think women/wives should be revered by their husbands and treated as divine - especially since we bear their children and make a home for them. Marriage is a balance in so many ways and I feel like the red pill strategy or ideolog…

When I began following red pill strategies for dating it changed the entire dating world for me for the better. Learning how to vet a man as a future husband vs being too “go with the flow” during the early courtship phase of dating gave me a sense of self assurance. Learning that in order to attract a high quality man I needed to focus on my health, physicality, femininity, and self awareness was a reality check that not everyone is ready for.

If at all possible SEXT YOUR HUSBAND I actually really love this idea! Back when we were dating I’d send a quick photo of myself in a cute outfit - they weren’t really “sexy” photos but he loved seeing me dressed up for work or what I was wearing to hang out with friends. I think I’ll get back into doing that, but maybe even a little more risqué since we’re married now.

Yeah I definitely think I will try going without it. When I was actively trying to revive my libido I read a post here about how after a drop in libido, you have to almost “rewire” your brain to enjoy sex/desire your husband again - which led me to finding things that put me in a sexier mindset. But now that it has been 6 months I think that I can “take off the training wheels” and go without external visuals and see how things go.

Why exactly do you want to avoid supporting the industry? The same reasons that you listed in your reply - women being put in vulnerable situations (sexually/financially), etc

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
