You can lose your job for doing things that aren't against the law. For example, I drive to work after a few drinks. If their is an argument in there somewhere it is what is fact and what is fiction. If you want to have a go finding an exemption for people in authority in New Zealand and that teachers are exempt from that exemption in New Zealand then have a go. There is no exception for people of authority. Police will not prosecute if there is consent and both parties are above 16 but that person will likely lose there job and their professional career.
