1	How can I get this plate back? One of the beautiful things about the plate analogy is that, when you actually spin plates and one falls, it smashes. You wouldn't try and it put it back together, you'd get a new plate. My advice would be, don't fret about this plate. What 'broke' this plate is approaching from a scarcity mentality (I miss you), when you need to be approaching from a mindset of abundance. It is generally the case in medicine (based in the UK here) that the only information disclosed after a test is what we tested for, and only to those who we tested. The specific example here is that certain genetic tests require the genetic information of both parents, and this may highlight a father (or mother, but less likely) is not the parent of a child. Views of both sides are presented in this article, and the main thrust of it is largely an ethical one, in the context of information protection.
