There is a need for laws like this, and keep in mind this law seems reasonable, only forcing husbands to pay for their wives' basic needs. My aunt was abused by her husband who did not give her any money. She had a medical condition and couldn't work so she relied entirely on him. Sometimes he would not even give her enough money to eat! Without consciousness there is no ability to experience pain or have emotions. Babies work entirely on instinct (or like machines, if you prefer) until 18 months. 1	Response from General Mills regarding Kix's slogan "Kid Tested, Mother Approved" If you can boycott them out of principle, then I commend you! Consumers and customers could get much better service from corporations if most people were willing to go without some products in order to make a stand. But if you really want your KIX and still have a guilt-free conscience, you could send them an e-mail asking if they could include fathers in their marketing. 2	I've recently had a revelation about rape culture and I thought I'd share. (I posted it here and r/feminism) Here's how I see it: Sex with intoxicated people: it's a dick thing to do. Not rape, but selfish and mean since they might regret their decision later on. Sex with someone who was intoxicated against their will (you didn't know they drank against their will but you know they're drunk): a dick thing to do (see above), but again not rape - you didn't know their alcohol consumption was not their choice and you're not responsible for knowing that. 2	After just finding this sub a few days ago, I have some things I feel that I need to say, and would really love all your feedback. "It is true that, especially in the past, some people have responded to rape allegations with bullshit like "Maybe she was asking for it" or making similar allegations, and I agree that that is heinous, but I don't think that is nearly as common anymore as it once was;" I feel the same about this. 4	After just finding this sub a few days ago, I have some things I feel that I need to say, and would really love all your feedback. I think feminism needs to rename itself for two reasons: 1) This name is women-centric. The movement can care about men's rights, but the name just gives the impression that it's a movement that cares about women's issues and only has some tolerance for men's. I know we say "don't judge a book by it's cover" (the name of the movement being the cover here), but it's unfair that a movement for both genders has a 'cover' that only represents one gender. 2) Second-wave feminism.
