People with CS degrees often have the title "Software Engineer". Engineer is not as protected a title in that industry. Only recently could you even become a licensed software engineer, and most don't bother because there's no advantage.

I agree with you. She wasn't a threat at that point, just being uncooperative. Her justice should be in court where she gets charged for resisting. I agree with the idea that she should have complied, but it really seemed like the cop did it out of frustration rather than because it was actually necessary.

It sucks that modern mass-scale farming practices sometimes result in unnecessary suffering, but there is no way in hell I am ever going to believe that the food on my plate is capable of having an existential crisis.
