2	Being "nice" is an evolutionary component for social bonding. The problem with the "nice guy/girl" argument is that these people aren't attractive enough for their niceness to matter in a sexual/romantic context. I think that's a little harsh. I wasn't a "nice guy" out of cowardice, but rather not knowing better. In my experience of being a "nice guy" for many years and wondering why it never worked for me, some people's "nice" behavior is extremely unattractive. It takes some life experience or parental advice if you're lucky enough to have that. Barring that, you might just learn it from years of failure.
