However, you might try asking her to hang out at your place and watch a movie or something. You could get to know one another while doing things that just friends would do. Good way to let her know that you like her company without making it romantic. And I don't think that small, sweet gestures would turn her off. Maybe you could sit down and have a conversation about it. As a girl I absolutely love when guys are intimate and sweet, as it makes me feel like more than just a warm body, but that's just me.
