That's because he's a popular musician. A guy's attractiveness isn't solely determined by his looks, it's also determined by his wealth and social status. Since he's a popular singer, he not only has a pretty high social status, but he also probably has a lot of money too.

Confidence alone won't get you girls. It will help a little bit, but not that much. If a really unattractive guy walked into a bar and started acting really confident, people would think he was weird and creepy. People who are attractive are confident because they have a high social status and get tons of girls: not the other way around. Now just because looks matter, that doesn't mean that one shouldn't try to talk to women, or that one shouldn't try to improve oneself. Just because some people…

The thing that stuck out the most to me about this story is that his wife only started thinking about leaving him after she went off the pill. There are some studies that show that when women take birth control, it affects the kind of men they're attracted to. Specifically, it makes them attracted to guys who are more genetically similar to themselves. That's probably the reason why there's a high correlation between birth control use and the divorce rate. It's because most women who take birth …

I agree. A lot of the people on here are also just as dogmatic about their beliefs as most redpillers are.

For the record, I'm not promoting the Red Pill, I'm merely discussing the scientific evidence backing up TRP's claims. Like I said before, I don't even agree with everything TRP says. If you have any criticisms of the evidence backing up TRP's claims, I'd love to hear it. That being said, there's a lot of evidence which proves hypergamy and the 80/20 rule. First of all, there's a lot of genealogical evidence which shows that most of our ancestors are female (http://tierneylab.blogs.nytimes.com/2…

From the sidebar: Genuine discussion about redpill is fine, blatant promotion of redpill is not allowed. I didn't promote TRP, I just said that it's not a cult.

I disagree with this, because I'm interested in the Red Pill, but I really don't believe everything TRP says. For example, I think dread game is seriously fucked up, and I also think that PUA strategies don't actually work that well. Also, your definition of a cult is extremely broad. For example, most political ideologies have the same 4 characteristics you mentioned in your post. But obviously most political ideologies aren't cults. You also failed to mention the characteristics of a cult that…

What's also really crazy is that they have certain commuter rail lines that are reserved for women. That's blatant discrimination, I can't believe that's a thing.

Yeah, I guess. But it's still definitely possible for birth rates to be too low.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/16 06:38 PM

Well one argument against low birth rates is that if they get too low, there won't be enough citizens paying taxes for social security. As the population gets older, there'll be a huge number of older, retired people on social security, but there will be less young people to pay for social security. Obviously high birth rates can be bad too though.

I think this begs the questions: is it possible for a man and a woman to love each other in a way which is not strictly sexual? Or are all heterosexual relationships purely sex-driven?

Do feminists tell men to "man up" and marry? Feminist theorists, academics, and intellectuals are mostly against marriage. From a feminist point of view, marriage is typically seen as oppressive and patriarchal, and as an institution which promotes a degrading view of women. After all, feminists think that the only differences between men and women are anatomical, and that anything a man can do, a woman could do just as easily. However, throughout history, married women didn't do much other than…

Interesting. Well assuming the 80/20 rule is fairly accurate numbers-wise, women are still technically more picky than men. Also, you have to keep in mind that OkCupid is more oriented towards serious dating than casual sex. The reason why women on OkCupid tended to message guys within their attractiveness range is because they weren't looking for alphas to have sex with, they were looking for a beta provider. If a similar study was done with Tinder instead of OkCupid, you'd see that women only …

That may very well be true, but why is promiscuity seen as uncivilized, even though in many advanced civilizations, such as Ancient Greece, sexual promiscuity was very common?

It can to a certain extent. There's obviously a limit to how much someone can increase their intelligence, but it's definitely possible, especially for younger people. And even if it couldn't, skill and wisdom are both extremely valuable.

Well if you honestly believe that you should be dating women. In your own words you should be with someone you see as inferior I never said or implied that women are inferior to men. I don't think that women are inferior to me just because I'm statistically more likely to be highly intelligent. Here's what I said in my post above: However, I do believe that women have equal value in some higher, spiritual sense. I personally think a man shouldn't date a woman unless he deeply cares about her and…

Yes, but men are still more likely to be highly intelligent than women because the variance in intelligence in men is way higher than it is in women. And yes, many women have been oppressed throughout history. However, a lot of women naturally gravitate to a housekeeper/mother role because that's just the way a lot of women are. But this is not totally relevant to intelligence differences between men and women. Also, this study is from 20 years ago now. So are you saying the study was pretty acc…

Well either way, males are more likely to be highly intelligent since the variance in intelligence in males is way higher than in females (this has been scientifically proven, see the link below). That's why almost all scientists, mathematicians, philosophers and engineers throughout history have been men. Even if men and women have the same average IQ, a man is way more likely to have an IQ over, say 130, than a woman. Of course, this also means that a man is more likely to have an IQ below 80 …

Sorry, my post was very unorganized and way too long. To summarize my position in two sentences: men should not be cuckolds because it ruins relationships. The reason why it ruins relationships is because women find submissive behavior in men repulsive (because submissiveness is a feminine trait and women are only sexually attracted to masculine alpha males) and women have no respect for cuckolds Also http://www.livescience.com/7154-men-smarter-women-scientist-claims.html

It's not psychologically abusive because I don't like it. This is what I just wrote in a reply to OP: In almost all sexual relationships, there is a dominant partner and a submissive partner, or in other words, a "top" and a "bottom". In heterosexual relationships, it is natural for men to be the dominant partner because guys have much higher levels of testosterone which makes them more dominant. In addition, almost all women are sexually submissive. Because of this, sexual relationships where t…

Well either way, cuckoldry is extremely degrading. Even if some guys find it hot in porn, I doubt most of them would do it in real life. Although in relationships, men and women both want sex and emotional validation, men mostly want sex and women mostly want emotional validation. Because of this, cuckoldry is extremely degrading, because women who cuck their husbands are basically using them for emotional validation without giving them sex in return. Women who cuck their husbands are not only u…

There are a lot of parallels, obviously. The only difference is that TRP views are backed up by evidence, logic and reason. Feminism, on the other hand, is an illogical belief system that has been thoroughly disproven.

Because I don't think there are any men out there who truly enjoy cuckolding. Most guys who are cucks just do it to please their wives and girlfriends.

Another downside to testosterone is that very high levels of it can inhibit intelligence. The more testosterone a man has, the more likely he is to have average intelligence. Highly intelligent people, as well as really stupid people, generally have lower testosterone levels. Interestingly though, this effect is not seen in educated men. In educated men, there is a positive correlation between intelligence and testosterone levels. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/11913330/

As a man, I feel the same way. Most women have judged me as completely undesirable. I'm not that ugly, but I'm short and really shy which is a huge turn-off to most women. Now though, I'm free to explore my hobbies and interests.

I've found that most of the women that I have common interests with are somewhat unattractive. The kinds of girls I find attractive are typically into girly things like fashion and gossip. The girls that I have a lot in common with generally have too many masculine qualities. That's just my personal experience though.

Yes, the dualistic mating strategy is what I'm describing, which is the same thing as a mating strategy that's between r-selected and K-selected. And I totally agree. I know a girl who's really only attracted to alpha males. But I know there are tons of girls that can't stand alphas, so they only really go for betas. And I also agree that every guy should try to increase their alpha traits. That's what I'm currently working on.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/16 03:10 AM

So you think it's impossible for an alpha widow or sexually burnt out woman to bond with a beta? Don't get me wrong, I know that getting into a LTR with these kinds of women is a bad idea, but are they really completely incapable of bonding with betas?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/16 01:57 AM

As far as emotional dependancy goes, you can develop an emotional connection to just about anything given enough time, and sunk emotional investment. I disagree. For example, I have never had romantic feelings for obese and unattractive women. All the women that I had romantic feelings for were sexually attractive. And also, you're right, I should have been more specific. "Value" is too vague. What I meant is that women can develop romantic feelings for beta males, even though they may not be ex…

Most guys can be categorized as alpha or beta. There are some guys that are sort of in the middle, but for the most part most guys are either alpha or beta. However, I think that with a lot of effort, most guys can cultivate both beta and alpha characteristics. For example, a lot of betas could get pretty swole if they worked out a lot. And alphas can also be taught to be empathetic and considerate of others' feelings if they're taught those things at a young age.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/16 01:15 AM

Many guys, even alphas, can emotionally bond with women. One of my friends is an alpha, and he was recently in a LTR with a pretty hot girl. When she broke up with him, he was pretty devastated. Also, I know that it's not fair that women have more sex with alphas than betas, but this is why traditional societies forbade sex outside of marriage. I presume their logic was that women can't have it both ways. I.e. they can't have sex with alphas, and an emotional relationship with a beta: they have …

I also think women try to trick guys with the whole personality trap because it gives them an incentive to commit over the long-term. If guys just judged women based on their looks, no guy would ever marry any woman, because all women eventually hit the wall. However, women have convinced men that what they really want in a woman is a good personality, and this is how they trick men into marrying them.
/r/TheRedPill25/05/16 04:48 AM

Exactly. Women are allowed to cheat, but men aren't allowed to associate with women, which women call "micro-cheating." So fucking ridiculous. But then again, this is just proof of Briffault's law.
/r/MGTOW25/05/16 12:24 AM

I'm not saying this is the way things should be, this is just my prediction. In fact, traditionalism would probably make it a lot harder for me to get a girlfriend. I'm not saying societies should or shouldn't uphold traditional values, but I think that it's likely that Western countries will become more traditional within the next 10 to 20 years.
/r/TheRedPill22/05/16 05:59 AM

Thanks. And that's interesting that women dissuade other women from having sex with alphas to increase their own chances with them. Where can I find those studies? But even though women dissuade other females from having sex with alphas for selfish reasons, wouldn't this still result in an increase in the value of female virginity?
/r/TheRedPill22/05/16 05:56 AM

Even if women do consider themselves to be moral, recall that women think primarily with their emotions, and tend to disregard logic. Because of this, most women can do incredibly immoral things, like cheating on her husband or using him as a human ATM, and still strongly believe that she's a good person. Women primarily think using emotional rationalizations and simply don't have the same command of logic that men do.
/r/TheRedPill21/05/16 02:48 AM

I think this is mostly true, but there are definitely some exceptions. Like for example, girls who have really bad social skills or girls who are a little autistic might be shy because they don't know how to properly interact with others socially.

I totally agree with you. I've totally stopped watching Sargon of Akkad's videos because they bore me to death. I've heard it all before, I get it: feminists are fucking retarded. Even a lot of Karen Straughan's videos bore me sometimes because recently her focus seems to have shifted to the politics of anti-feminism. Women want different things, but there's a pattern to it. To simplify things a little bit, women are attracted to a combination of physical fitness, social status, and facial aesthetics. That said, women still have preferences within that range. So for example, some women only really go for jocks, whereas others are far more attracted to social status. Some girls like guys with blonde hair, others like guys with black hair. But none of this changes the fact that women are at their core attracted…

That's true, but I think abortion is wrong and I also think that ideally every child should grow up with a mother and father, and that they both have certain roles to play in parenting. For example, I think the role of the mother is to stay at home and care for her children. Since the mother is supposed to stay at home and take care of the kids, there's no way she could possibly provide for them financially. Because of this, the father needs to be the breadwinner.
/r/MensRights14/03/16 01:29 PM

I agree that it's not fair how women can get an abortion if they don't want to be responsible for a child, even though if a man gets his girlfriend or wife pregnant (or at least if she leads him to believe that) he has no choice but to support the child. However, I don't think the solution is to allow men to "disown" a fetus. After all, who's going to support the child? This seems like a reactionary view that's more concerned with getting even with feminists than the common good. I think the rea…

I have read it. On a rational level, I've accepted that women are just hypergamous animals and are incapable of true love. But on an emotional level, I still strongly desire a woman who will love me as much as I love her. I've read through the thread though, and there's a lot of good advice. I'll be able to get over this desire eventually, but it'll take time.

You're right about that. Although I've read a lot of red pill theory, in the past I've tried to avoid reading field reports and blue pill examples simply because they're so rage-inducing. It's one thing to read about the red pill in the abstract, but actually reading about real-life examples of female hypergamy and female histrionics and mind games is so much more rage-inducing. I'll try to read one field report or blue pill example each day.

Yeah I've been trying to read a little bit of TRP stuff everyday. I would read more but I'm a college student so I don't have much time to read redpill-related stuff. And you're right that even if I get over this desire, it'll probably come back soon. That's why I think I'm going to become a MGTOW for a couple of years, because I feel like if I meet a woman who's interested in me, I'll probably just regress back to my blue pill ways. /r/MensRights09/11/15 07:41 AM

Look, the reason there are differences in outcome between men and women is because there are clear psychological differences between them. If you don't believe me, look up Simon Baron-Cohen's E-S brain theory. It basically posits that on average, males have more systematizing brains while females have more empathizing brains. This explains why even though there's very little discrimination against women, females are far less likely than males to study STEM fields like physics. I think at some po…

It seriously grinds my gears how everyone in the comments section of the original thread is pressuring him into getting a vasectomy in the most passive-aggressive way possible. There's a lot of fucked up stuff posted on 4chan, and obviously a lot of really malevolent people hang around on there, but I'd say that the majority of 4channers are exactly the type of people you described: young males that feel rejected by society who need a space to talk about their hobbies and interests, but also the problems they face in day-to-day life.
