these days women are outpacing men in becoming MDs. From January to June 2017, athenahealth surveyed 18,000 physicians at 3,500 practices on its network, and determined that more than 60 percent of physicians under the age of 35 are female, while just under 40 percent are male. In the next-highest age bracket (35 to 44 years of age), women are the dominant gender as well – just slightly – coming in at 51.5 percent. As each age bracket gets older, the percentage of female physicians drops, with 8…

the ex is asking "Miss or Mrs" in an attempt to belittle her or act smug like he was the best thing that ever happened to her or her "last chance" and she "blew it" while also possibly suggesting that women only get their value by being married. no one asks an ex "miss or Mrs?" to "determine how to address them" - you DATED them, you know their fucking name already. but I shouldn't be shocked that this sub misinterpreted it and just went on to hate the woman in this 100% fake make up interaction…

but I guess it's just a muscle memory for me to put both seats down every time. why? it's so unnecessary. it doesn't do anything to prevent the spread of germs, before you spout that typical response

the only thing that makes sense to create the least work for everyone is to simply adjust it for yourself, then leave it in the position it ended up in. if you are an adult you should have no problem changing the orientation of a toilet seat without help.

it literally changes nothing to shut the lid as far as the spread of germs go. you being a germaphobe on a high horse is absolutely not backed up by science

it's seriously irresponsible to sit down on a toilet seat without checking first. what if there's a spider or something? women? y'all seriously just fucking plop down when it's your own home without any concern what might be there just because you know the toilet seat will be down?

if you're somehow using a stall when urinals are in the same bathroom, you better lift the fucking seat.

ya let's make more work for everyone for no reason. and before you say "germs" As experimental controls, the MythBusters kept two untainted toothbrushes in an office far away from the lavatory. At the end of the month-long trial, they sent their toothbrush collection to a microbiologist for bacterial testing. Astonishingly, all the toothbrushes were speckled with microscopic fecal matter, including the ones that had never seen the inside of a bathroom. The confirmed myth unfortunately proved tha…

nope. the control toothbrush kept in a completely separate room also had fecal matter on it. http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/mythbusters-database/fecal-matter-on-toothbrush/ As experimental controls, the MythBusters kept two untainted toothbrushes in an office far away from the lavatory.
