Harper was a dictator wantabe with complete contempt of the law and constantly forcing other members of his government to get the axe for his own stupid shit. I can understand not liking Trudeau but lets not wax nostalgic about a guy who was dripping with his own scandals.

Thanks for giving some people a much needed reminder.

What percentage of kids who weren't intended would prefer to be dead? Got some numbers on that? Surely not 100%?

I agree with this and am a pro-lifer. That is one of my biggest gripes about politics in general is people tend to paint with to broad a brush and alienate people who aren't inherently against them.

Which is a prefect example why behaving punitively leads to escalation making things worse. Super tired with all the virtue signaling around something which will make very, very little difference to the lives of most women.

The US does suck on this and income and race unsurprisingly plays a major role. The more access to health care the lower stacyxxluv # relatively becomes. Your country really needs universal health care which would make a lower and more even right for all. As it stands if you are living on Pine Ridge you have triple the infant mortality of the average (which also has life expectancy lower than many developing nations). And every catastrophe like this lifts the national average a little to get tha…

Anarchist and would be considered pro life by many. But I agree we should be for the betterment of society as a whole and not just individually fighting for things which affect us. That is the very argument most here have against feminists.

Her son should have been challenged on demeaning others and apologized but he shouldn't have publicly shamed him in front of the world either.

I honesty think this sub is very mixed. Some people like yourself are very concerned to others who are indeed characterizing it as a form of revenge. Also is the fact that some of us are Pro Life so naturally those folk aren't going to be allies but aren't necessarily without empathy, just empathy in a different direction. What I am getting to is this form is a place of very diverse opinions so it isn't surprising there are many opinions. Also a lot of people don't like the hyperbole, things bei…

Then why even ask the question except as some stupid gotcha? Why should I even communicate if your not going give a prefect strange the benefit of the doubt. Wouldn't a person whom believes in reverence of life be among the most like of people to be a vegan or vegetarian? peace out

Why do women have sex either when we are told every time they do they are risking death, physical disability, social shunning, a life altering interruption of their education or career, and the sudden life-long responsibility for another human being, They should just keep their legs closed. Yes we both can play these stupid games.

Well in all those circumstances there are other problems they should be addressing (ie options) which will markedly improve their lives. Denying women agency to correct abusive domestic circumstances or the responsible for the consequences of their own belief system is to infantilize women. Something I thought feminists were supposed to be against. Now I am all for helping people who are all being abused but what I despise is conflating things together as if they explicably lead one to another w…

Yet again why it is important to communicate clearly and honestly. Even in the most conservative states if the right to have etopic pregnancy treated was being fought for it in my opinion would be an easy win. But by conflating everything indistinguishably together you create fights that don't have to be fought while sounding like chicken.

Because it blames all men for actions of people they have no power or influence, while simultaneously ignoring men are the greatest victims of society (Longer sentences for equal crimes, more homelessness, prematurely killed in conflicts and abusive work conditions etc).

Attraction, at least how most people use it is just chemicals triggered in the brain and not a good measure of anything. Something mature individuals grow out of making decisions based upon. So I wouldn't use something essentially irrational as criteria to evaluate men or women who don't live up to it.

Also implying that women have no other options beside abortion. Dishonest in the extreme, but hey that goes with the territory of feminist doesn't it?

Basically my position is reverence for life which begins at conception. Believing this means there is no room for absolutism in one camp or the other. There are definitely cases where a child/fetus should be aborted if tragic such as when the mother's life is at stake. Also I am uncomfortable with criminalizing abortion as everyone knows people will find a means if they strongly desire it. Society must change so there is more resources both understand how to prevent contraception, to have the me…

All I will say is there are plenty of uncruel women. Make sure never to internalize abuse people unfairly throw at you and get out of those spaces before it harms you. Everyone has the right to be treated and spoken to decently.

Few men are good people. Goodness is a rare trait in either gender.

Lets also not buy into the bs. Women are acting as if they have no choice but become pregnant that is an utter total mischaracterization. There are a multitude of other birth control options other than take no responsibility and kill the fetus. Even feminists themselves admit that abortion pills aren't going to go away. It is a big hullabaloo about almost nothing.

I understand where your coming but the OP does mention "hunt wild animals while women picked fruit/cared for kids" so I assume they are talking about all of human history for most of which men have been as dependent on women as men on them. Human prehistory isn't what most people think, there are a lot of lingering Victorian misconceptions. Much of which gender hold more influence in society in past times boiled down to whether it was matrilocal or patrilocal which in part determined by the mode…

I really appreciate you bring nuance into a conversation many want to paint as black and white for the sake of presenting their opinion as the only reasonable one.

You do realize their are more options to avoid pregnancy than abortion? Many which are female specific. Or is sexual education that poor in your country?

Sorry to hear that. I am one of those people who like to know what is going on inside my friends /family. Even through I know it isn't the case it always surprises me how few people do because that is where the most authentic self is.

Because feminism is just one small element that occupies left spaces which is not inherently left or right. There are vile attitudes within every camp but that should cause a crisis of faith because leftism is set a morals, perspectives and modes of action completely separate from misandry.
