This is actually very sound advice and almost exactly what I did and have been doing by intuition alone. She’s gone berserk since. Realized I played her like a fiddle, she didn’t get the farm, that my bank account is still healthy. I get the kids 50/50 and I cut her the f*** off in communication. Just following the agreement to the “T”. I no longer care what she says, thinks or does and I just make them CS support payments every Friday. That reminds me. Today’s Friday 🤣🤣

How much cash on hand do you have? What’s the cause for divorce?

As the sole income provider it sounds like you are as me. They have no idea the shit show they’re creating when it comes to our professional life. I tried explaining how my performance was tanking. Her response? Well don’t try to put that on me! I didn’t cause this, you did! Because she also takes zero accountability and blames her entire decision on just my actions. Which is far from the truth. I responded with; that’s fine, I won’t put it on you, but you do realize that if my good and our only…

Absolutely. Thank you very much for the support. This is really the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. Thankfully I’ve already been to the bottom of every bottle and truly have no desire to go back. Sober since Sept. 21’. Good thing I didn’t have to go through this when I was still drinking. That would have been a death sentence for sure!

I heard about that. I’m in Texas and infidelity is hardly even taken into consideration. I did inform my attorney nonetheless. I won’t know the emotional toll until it’s too late I’m sure. We had/have a good sex life and the fact that we have been together for so long. It kinda feels like more a convenience for us rather than trying to find someone new at this stage. Thanks for sharing though.

Exactly…. I think it’s good… good for what, I’m not quite sure. It’s good in the moment. It’s some BS if you ask me.

I most certainly share your concern. You’re absolutely right, they would flock to her in a heartbeat if she put herself out there. Leaving me used and abused in her wake while spending a good chunk of my income. I’m very conflicted at the moment. I know that day could come at any moment and I don’t exactly know how I would feel. Probably not very good. I think she’s making a mistake and she knows it. I don’t necessarily have hopes for anything and I’m getting more and more detached emotionally e…

Wow. Seems like that went 0 to 100 real quick but in the end it all worked out. Nice. How was the asset split? Any custody situation? I’m kinda freaking out. I make good money, she’s been a stay at home mom and now wants to spread her wings (or legs) on my dime but assures me that she wants everything equal, especially for the kids. Hasn’t really given me any reason to believe otherwise but you never really know. She’s even gained full time employment. Especially with all the horror stories out …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
