Brilliant post. Also it’s making me glad I’m not heterosexual and dating other bisexual people - bc I can opt out of a lot of this war between the sexes thinking.

I believe it's because it's a common practice among Abrahamic monotheists and America has an overwhelming majority belonging to that group (or were raised in that group, and thus the young men were circumcised before they grew up and could abandon it). I've heard it's much less common in Europe because people aren't as hardcore there about religion being involved in every aspect of their life.
