1	Marital rape Oh, really? Is it any more ridiculous than the assertion that marriage permits you to own and use your spouse's body like property? Like a sex toy with no will of its own? You are arguing that inexcusable (and illegal!) cruelties like rape and sexual abuse can be legitimised with a wedding contract. My example is merely an extreme case to show how this can be abused to defend the worst atrocities. The most powerful inmate there takes a liking to you and decides to marry you, with the prison chaplain being coerced or bribed into officiating over the wedding. As you want his protection, you accept his proposal of your own free will, despite the humiliation.
