OYS #9 33 y/o, 5’7”, 195lb 21-22% Navy method LTR 5 years, engaged 1 kid 4y/o, 1 on the way Lifts: bench 135 3x5, squat 215 5x5, DL 225 Before I jump into any of the other shit, I’m leading off with this. I didn’t post in two weeks, and I haven’t lifted in a week. As I was thinking about what to put in this post I noticed my brain going to manufacture excuses for both. Fuck excuses, there are the facts. I didn’t quit in the last two weeks, I’ve been putting in less work on myself than usual, but…

Thanks for calling this out- I included that statement specifically because of a previous Rule 9 ban.

Truth. At some point I started seeing them as more shit to be dealing with and reacted to them. Realizing it’s both a test and part of her being woman reframed it- not my problem to deal with, this is why the oak analogy makes sense

Point taken. Now I know what to fix when I revisit this after NMMNG. Less bitch, more bold.

Thanks for breaking this down. I’m going to do this over the next 2 weeks and post results in a future OYS. It will probably be retarded but better than what I am working with now. Much appreciated

Horns- thanks for this. You’re the first person in my life to ever have said I was a loser and I’m grateful for it. Ego is a real bastard and I have caused a ton of harm in my life with it. You’re right, there is something really fucked up about me that it took me so long to get laid. I had opportunities over the years that I hamstered away for one bullshit reason or another, now I’m 33 and feel retarded (in both senses of the word) sexually. I don’t know what that something is, and like you sai…

OYS #4 33 yo, 5’7”, 195lb. Lifts- squat 165 5x5, bench 115x5, DL TBD LTR 5 years, 1 toddler Physical- good week in the gym. Added weight to squats, barely felt it. Switched up bench to DB as opposed to BB. Getting a referral to a PT for long-standing shoulder mobility issues I didn’t want documented to go back in the military. Adjusted caloric target to 1600-1800 per day and kept protein the same, upped water intake to 1.5 gal a day. Hitting low impact cardio hard. I see and feel a difference, m…

Target cals are 2500, 180g protein daily. With your number of 1600 cals that would put me at an additional~2lbs of fat loss per week. I’ve never cut that low before, but I can. My only concern is T levels from dropping that low, but looking at it long term T will be higher once I’m leaned out

OYS #3 Stats: 33yo, 5’7” 195lb. Current lifts (5x5): squat 155, bench 115, haven’t tested DL since restarting. LTR of 5 years, 1 kid 3yo What I’ve done since last week: got back in the gym (as soon as this is typed this will be my third day) and tested most of my lifts- bitch weight but that’s where I’m at. Ran my stats through Chat GPT and told it what my goals were- I’m using a customized version of a Stronglifts 5x5. Tracking macros daily to recomp and supplementing with lower impact cardio (…

Thanks for this- you said a lot there. You’re right, I’m going to give this some thought before I respond in any way.

Absolutely right. To address that I’m maintaining a caloric deficit of ~300 a day below maintenance and supplementing with low intensity cardio. I’m leaner than I was at the beginning of the year and lifting+strict dieting will help me drop more fat. To your second point, that’s a great idea about a gym instructor. Thanks for the response and the recommendation.
