Nah, they would, not now but eventually. As while our premarital sexual culture is certainly hypergamous the rest of it is built on monogamy. As in, we’re not like pagan germanic tribes where the warlords have 20 women who they’re partnered to for life at the expense of the weaker. The Christian west is all about monogamy and the nuclear family when it comes to marriage, and women get that they need to work within those parameters even when they don’t see it as ideal (settling for instance), sin…

I agree generally, but when it comes to a situation like this, where the only reason Israel is receiving the benefit of the doubt while carrying their depopulation of the area is because they say ‘we’re only fighting evil insurgents and minimising collateral damage while our opponents don’t, and that’s what differentiates us, and it’s why we’re ethically in the clear and should be supported with foreign aid’ - that justification all falls apart if this stat is true, since if 70% of who you kill …

In many communities you can’t abandon your faith in islam without suffering ostracism (or anything up to the religiously mandated death for apostasy depending on where you are in the world). I know some Muslim apostates her in Australia and they live a pretty banal existence of being neither accepted by their family/community, or white Australians. Abandoning the faith will literally do nothing to effect the way 99% of white people will treat you based on your appearance (here anyway, it is cert…

I personally believe this is a pretty under-looked part of incel culture. Even if you’re alright-looking if you get convinced from day 1 that you genuinely don’t deserve friends or intimacy there is no part of your brain that compels you to seek it out. I believe this is called ‘learned helplessness’, and was shown to be a thing even in dogs (where if they’re punished for trying to break out of harmful situation they will literally ‘choose’ to remain there even after the barrier to escape is lif…

Doing a degree that attracts a pretty substantial amount of autistic guys (mech eng, if not incredibly obvious hah), I must say I was actually pretty taken aback by how unashamedly non-empathetic a disproportionate amount of my new autistic acquaintances were (having not really encountered many in life before uni) - I don’t mean socially, I mean regarding things like political/ethical topics, just having this pretty cold/callous for things outside the realm of their personal experience (eg being…

It should be extremely obvious why what a woman expects from the encounter would affect the outcome.

Yes. It strikes me as very stupid that so many people don't realise that you don't have to be celebrity tier (or even anywhere remotely close to it) for your appearance to start opening many doors for you. At first I was as naive as OP to think that since I could get women to be attracted to me by simply presenting better, and being less of a sperg, then everyone could. I've since realised how lacking self-awareness that reasoning is.

It's seems obvious as shit to me that the cases where the guy adopts the red pill and is astonished by how easy getting women suddenly is, are the same cases where the guy had good (enough) basic traits to start with (but sat on his ass up until that point). Just like you OP, I can note nothing special about myself, and would have said I'm just average enough in each area, yet just like you I got results that wouldn't fit with being average. But there's a reason. As weird as it sounds, if you're…

Yeah man, I’m not American but I’ve seen some of the Super bowl ads you guys have, and I find it almost hilarious how unsubtle the advertisers are about smothering the viewer with messages that are clearly meant to resonate with the female audience, and the ideas that they like and agree on. It’s as if they see women as a ginormous hive mind. But judging from how effective this sort of pandering to the ideas popular amongst them is, it is probably not all that far from the truth, lol.

Yeah true, that seems to be exactly what I've noticed. So I'm guessing when a girl is doing this, you should respond in a way that falls short of satisfying her want of you?

This is some high IQ shit. This would very easily explain what I’ve seen so far that brought me to this train of thought, without have to rest on a big assumption like ‘I guess they must always lie’. It also explains how they can go back and forth so quickly - like going from acting like they’ll just die if they don’t see you, to then withdrawing to a distance once you commit back. Thanks, very great answer.
/r/askTRP11/03/19 10:04 AM

Hm yes that is certainly very true. I’ve noticed they tend to only hold onto things resembling principles for as long as they‘re popular or socially expedient in some way.

Thanks a lot, this helps. With one of my girl mates she is Italian and very sexual, so I find myself touching her thighs and ass quite a bit, to her satisfaction - however even even after this point, I fail at knowing how to do your 'escalate a bit more' part. I just find myself unable to flick the switch from being 'friend who reciprocates being touchy/flirty', to taking the lead and really directing the situation towards sex. Unless the girl goes from being felt up to saying 'I want to have se…

If you were not lacking the strength of character to confront him, or the will to help your mate in the first place, then you would have already confronted him. Why would you be capable of telling us the problem, but not your friend? The fact that you're telling us, instead of him, indicates that you either don't have the strength to tell him directly (in which case we can't help you), or you are just searching for agreement about doing nothing, so you feel less conflicted about it.
/r/askTRP24/02/19 11:29 AM
7

Agreed - I'm genuinely surprised that leaving the friend to stew in this situation is considered a decent option by OP and commenters. Unless you you feel very threatened by your mate's potential response (I don't know how though?), leaving the situation silently just seems like the most pathetic option available...
/r/askTRP24/02/19 10:48 AM
2

But doesn’t hypergamy say that women have to mate upwards, relative to themselves? But I imagine if she did not have any other options except ones that rank lower than herself then yes, she wouldn’t really be able to practice hypergamy, but would just have to pick the least bad option.

Well yeah you could certainly call it insecurity, but how is it even possible to not be insecure if you're unable to become 'secure' by first knowing where you stand, and then being secure in your understanding of it? Wouldn't that be the exact way that you become 'secure'?

I mean these same ones who have complimented me have been sexually forward with me as well (why I didn't reciprocate is another story, involving their friendship with my trusted mates, as well as their utility for us as door-openers), but does the mere fact that they acted on their interest in me necessarily give me that much of an indication of where I stand overall? It might seem like a weird thing to want to know, but the only reason I want to get some decent idea of where I stand is because …

Yeah, they sort of cling around the small social circle that is me and my three best mates from uni. Some of them knew these mates before I did and are pretty fun to be around and open a lot of doors, so I feel like it would be a bit disrespectful to my mates to just root and boot them.

Yeah I come from a sporting background and have always been enthusiastic about lifting. However unlike with the question of my post, when I lift I can see the amount of weight I am moving, as well as my own size compared to that other men, which gives me a fairly accurate understanding of where I stand in terms of strength. I wouldn't mind having the same sort of clarity of understanding in terms of my general desirability with respect to women, or 'SMV' as you guys put it. But unfortunately, un…

That approach has only given me a fairly murky understanding of where I stand though - since when I do as you say, I find I can seduce girls in clubs with a lot of success, which should imply I am very attractive to them (these are often backpackers from Europe or South America, or local women in their later 20's), however hitting on local girls my own age I always hit a brick wall, which should imply the opposite, that I am not attractive to them. This weird mix of results is what got me curiou…

Yeah true, but I just figured it would be worthwhile knowing what women actually think of me. I went to a single-sex school so never really got acquainted with whatever my ‘natural rank’ is. I mean I could be as attractive as my brother for all I know, or I could be repulsive-looking, and I feel like I wouldn’t know either way, unless i’m going to just take a few people at their word that is.

In case it matters, this has come from only about five of my female friends who consider themselves close enough to comment, and they fall in the ranking range of about 6-7.5. A couple were sober saying it, and a few were drunk.
/r/askTRP27/01/19 05:00 PM
1

Haha exactly correct. That is where I assumed the alluring aspect might come from. Girls often act stunned/intrigued when I tell them I'm an engineer after they ask me what I do - since I guess they expect to hear something blue-collar, due to my appearance. Which gets right to your point - I don't look like that typical balding Indian engineer at all, rather I'm quite tough looking (I'm not trying to jerk myself off or even call myself good-looking, just that I look more 'meat-head' than 'intel…

Thanks, that’s some really pleasant Tony Robins sort of advice that I probably actually need haha. But yes thanks I am very content with engineering - I have an over-the-top systematic sort of brain so it’s certainly my calling. But don’t get me wrong it’s not like I’m hoping a good job will make people like me, like I’m a first gen Indian son or something haha. Excellent advice. As someone who is much more academic-smart than socially smart I am always very careful to not to convey this fact to girls, and to only show my hand in terms of my social wit, rather than tryna be the smart guy. Yeah preaching to the choir mate. I’m not at all the sort of guy to go bragging about my degree, so no worries there — I’m an Aussie, and here it’s seen as extremely bad taste, and more or less a sign of social retardation, to express pride about your position on the j…

Is it more just like a bonus she sees in you, or does it actually make her value you more on the whole?
/r/askTRP28/12/18 10:49 AM

Is this just because she can tell her girlfriends she’s going out with an engineer, or because she actually values the man more because of it?

Thanks. What sort of body language do you think it is though that gives off this false impression?
/r/askTRP14/11/18 12:36 PM
2

Thanks, this could certainly be the reason. My voice is very unusual in its lack of expressiveness, so this could well be it. I also appreciate how in contrast to the other comments you gave me a reason that could explain my question, rather than calling me an autist or narcissist.
/r/askTRP14/11/18 12:34 PM
1

Yeah I agree, that was sort of the theme of the post, with the parts about not understanding social cues etc. I was essentially asking why this semi-autistic behaviour would be able to come across as very confident to girls.
/r/askTRP14/11/18 12:18 PM
1

How? The main message of the post was that I'm basically autistic, and that I can't understand why my autist-like tendencies could come across as confident. That's far more self-depreciating than bragging. The only reason I included one or two traits that could be seen as positive is because if I only included negative traits then it would be impossible to give me an answer. I really hate people who subtly brag so I genuinely hope that wasn't how it came across. And if it was how it came across …
/r/askTRP14/11/18 12:12 PM

No I promise I am neither, my self-confidence is actually very low as indicated by the post. I even say that my humour is literally my only positive social attribute. The only reason I included what could be seen as positive traits is because I thought those might hold some of the answer - since I am too socially naive to be able to discern it myself. Although I notice that my description of my appearance does sound a bit narcissistic. The original paragraph was saying that I think I have an una…

So is it the case that if they are a bit intimidated by you, you then have to put in some effort to make them feel comfortable to undo the intimidation a bit? Or otherwise elicit enough of an emotional response to override it? I appreciate the comment by the way. I have no idea why you've been down-voted to -5.

That sounds like an excellent insight - and it definitely coheres with what I've been noticing day to day. I'm new to this world, so this is all new information to me. It continues to surprise me how you guys are evidently actually right about these things. So thank you for sharing!

So do you find it is cardio in particular that does it? Because I too find that when I practice BJJ it generally helps a lot to reduce the bad mood. It’s just hard to get to and find time for, especially when I’m unable to do much to begin with. But if it’s the just cardio itself that has this effect (rather than anything specific to BJJ) then yeah running or any other easier form of cardio could be a great option.

I probably don't fit the bill for being a healthy male though. I used to be in great health, but these days I have liver pain from an obscure genetic disorder as well as mood and anger disorders - which are most likely related to the liver pain since they coincide more often than not. So what would your opinion on a case like me be? Would I be kidding myself by expecting improvement from following these sort of straightforward strategies? I mean I'm pretty alright with just accepting my fate as …

I don't masturbate either way, but I have been taking cold showers and lifting. But the problem with lifting when I'm in this sort of weak/depressed state seems to be that I can't bring myself to have the appropriate appetite or energy. So it just sort of feels like I'm wasting my time.
/r/askTRP26/08/18 05:27 AM

Hah that's fascinating, how direct you are about it. That sounds like simple enough instructions for me to be able to follow. Thanks again for filling me in, and also for not even being the slightest bit condescending.

Thanks a lot, that sounds like great advice. Especially the taking the hand while talking to her part - that seems mild enough for me to do it without it feeling too intense, but also definitely direct and forward enough. So I'm guessing once I'm doing this sort of thing I just continue to build up tension by holding eye contact and talking slowly etc? And I guess the tone of what I talk about at this point should also become more serious and genuine right, with less joking and everything? Could…

Known her for about a month, she's been passively hitting on me most of the time but had a boyfriend until recently, and only amped it up after the breakup. She's still overseas, so yeah I think you're completely right about her just tryna steal my attention. Better to just leave it until she's back and when there's actually something worthwhile in it for me.
/r/askTRP04/07/18 01:58 PM
1

Yeah good point. She is the type of girl who would try to suck me into that, so I think I'll just leave it altogether until she's back and then see what's up.

Yeah seems like a good option.

After thinking about it for a bit I think you're right. I'll be fucked if I'm just gonna hang around hoping for a root when she gets back. Guess I just missed my window, but whatever, no point crying over spilt milk.
/r/askTRP04/07/18 01:53 PM

This sub also says you're a pussy if you're too eager to chase a girl up on an offer, so it's a bit of a catch 22 right? I told her I wouldn't come to hers since I've got exams and she doesn't so she should come to mine. But yeah it probably was at the height of her cycle and a missed opportunity.
/r/askTRP12/06/18 01:56 PM
1

Yeah most likely so. But I wouldn't call it much more than a positive accessory. If you're good looking it will more or less make you high status regardless of what else you have or don't have going for you, and the same can be said about if you're witty and charismatic. But just being tall will hardly have such an effect. An unattractive, uncharismatic tall guy isn't high status, he's just a low level guy who happens to be tall.
/r/TheRedPill12/06/18 01:35 PM

Oh alright. What would you suggest for maintaining it while I'm still too busy to meet up?
/r/askTRP12/06/18 12:11 PM

Is being short really as much of a negative trait as this post implies? I mean I'm tall myself but it hardly seems to do me that many favours. Every now and then I get girls saying they like other things about me like my eyes or having big shoulders, but height never really comes up. Given how much variance there is from guy to guy in traits like attractiveness and charisma, I really wouldn't think small differences in height would make all that much difference - that is if we're talking about d…

Yeah sorry like I was saying I'm a bit retarded outside of my element. Yeah cheers that's the sort of advice I was after, I reckon I'll do just that.
/r/askTRP10/06/18 06:45 PM

I certainly wouldn't mind just doing that. Only thing making me hesitate is she's a good friend and a good friend of my friends too, so I don't want to make things weird if it doesn't all go as planned. Would you say just go for it anyway? Would you reckon just being clear with what I want probably wouldn't have as many downsides as I'm imagining?

I already wrote in the post that she has no attraction to these two guys. She was disgusted when one of them hit on her, and the other is a dealer who gives her discount weed.

Onitis involves thinking there's something special about a girl in a sentimental sense. What I'm saying is this girl opens doors and provides utility. I could say the exact same about a guy, which goes to show that the value I attribute to her clearly doesn't derive from sentiment.
/r/askTRP14/05/18 05:04 AM

Were feelings brought up mate? I was saying to him it's good advice, sans the alpha-fronting which hardly serves a purpose. Faggot and retard are words that have meaning when you use them when they apply, but if you use them as liberally as an SJW uses the word racist then all you are is a dude trying his best to front as an alpha.
/r/askTRP14/05/18 05:00 AM

Well what do you expect. I never said I was a seduction god, so of course i'm gonna be weary about going in with a girl who's an intimate friend of all of my friends. There's simply too many moving parts for that to go right unless I carefully play my cards right. Your last advice sounds valuable though, thank you for that. Although you could have cut to the chase and told me that without having to call me a faggot twice.

I know I've read the sidebar. All I'm saying is she provides more utility than other girls at the uni. I don't have any problem with dropping a girl under ordinary circumstances but when its an exchange student who opens all sort of doors its no longer a question of whether I just want to drop her, but also whether I want to drop all the utility her and her friends come with. I have no delusions about her being a 'special' person, just that she provides more than other girls in this shit univers…
/r/askTRP13/05/18 04:17 PM

Sounds like sound advice, but I don't know whether I could ever blow off these two particular friends, or threaten to anyway. They're the type who've been with me through thick and thin, so I could probably just learn to tolerate dealing with the irritation that the dynamic this girl gives me if it means not having to create bad blood between myself and my mates.
/r/askTRP13/05/18 03:54 PM
1

Yeah. I actually don't not give a shit about her though. She's an extremely exotic Italian girl at a university where it's mostly just Asian international students who don't do anything. Should I still just pretend I don't give a shit about her?
/r/askTRP13/05/18 03:47 PM
2

I've been considering that, but I don't want to create tension with my friends. The way they see it is they just like having a hot girl who's always willing to meet up. And also they knew her before I did, so it seems a bit rough for me to just step in and be like hey I'm not gonna hang around you guys while she's here.
/r/askTRP13/05/18 03:44 PM
1

I'm usually inclined to do this, but I'm usually just worried about coming off as rude and cold. Since that's how people see me most of the time anyway. But I'll see how it goes.
/r/askTRP29/04/18 04:57 AM
1

Oh no don't let me mistake you. I make a point of leading all the time, if anything too much because that's just my nature. I'm taking your escalating point on board though. What would you say is a way of escalating that is subtle enough to follow on from something like this though? I don't want to be overly forward and looking like I'm straight up tryna fuck every girl at the university that laughs at my jokes and locks arms with me.
/r/askTRP29/04/18 04:54 AM

Do you mean it means she likes you but not necessarily enough to fuck you, or do you mean she's making it clear she likes you in an explicitly non-sexual way?

Thanks again. I'm actually in the process of trying to cut out drugs and minimise alcohol, as well as working on health and sleep, but for reasons unrelated to chicks though. Could you tell me why you rate them as highly as you do in this context?

That sounds pretty on the mark. Growing up I was picked on a bit, so I think it's the case that even though I've now changed a lot from that, like becoming well respected and getting girls, my mind still hasn't caught up and is still overly sensitive to any sort of perceived insult. I guess it will just take time and cultivation to move on from that.

Thank you, that sounds like excellent advice. Overly strong reactions to minor things is actually a problem I seem to have across the board. Could you point me in the right direction for getting better at being more outcome independent?

I try my hardest to be, but it seems like thats the one component thats more or less out of my logical control. I can choose to lift, choose to stand with a strong posture and speak assertively, but I can't exactly just "choose" to not feel emotionally wounded in the same way as the other cases.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense actually, sort of the same logic as training an animal to favour a certain behaviour, lol. I think my error was feeling like if she's being so over the top with me I ought to try reciprocate to a similar extent, but now that seems like it would achieve the opposite of the desired effect.

Would she be trying to game me you reckon? The tone of everything she says/does towards me comes across as more towards admiration than lust. And I dunno, but pressing the point that you admire someone seems like a bad strategy for gaming them, I think?

Shit that's probably more of a red pill than anything else i've heard on here. Indeed it does make sense that even if you're the most well-meaning person in the world you're still going to have wants rooted in biology, and these will most likely will express themselves in behaviour. Would she really be doing all this though just for the validation of knowing how much influence she's having on me? Seems like a bad investment on her part; the amount of effort she's got to put in for the amount of …

Haha as much as I hate to admit it I think you're 100% right, I'm probably starting to become dependant on it like on a drug. Lol can you actually turn a girl into an orbiter? I definitely wouldn't mind it if indeed it's possible,

Yeah that sounds right. I hate feeling at the mercy of a single person so I've been trying to focus on all the other options I have. Apparently my mind now just thinks validation from her is the only type that matters. But yeah cheers Im realising that's bullshit and if I just channel my energy elsewhere it'll occur to me that she doesn't deserve a fraction of this much attention.

That's the way it seems to me as well, the only thing is though she's got such a childlike innocence I can't even comprehend her tryna be manipulative on purpose. Her character is summed up by always just trying to be as kind and harmless as possible, and especially so towards me.

Hah I actually really like the sound of that one. Unlike most I've heard that actually sounds like the sort of thing I might say.

Yeah you've figured me out. I only ever have success at clubs and the like. None of my friends actually know I'm too retarded to suss a girl under normal circumstances. Could you please tell me though what I actually do when I notice the IOIs? It seems I can notice them but not do much with them. At work yesterday a girl was exhibiting these towards me but I simply couldn't keep up with her and couldn't reciprocate them properly.

I know oneitis is a bit of a meme in this community, but I'd say this is quite far from it. She happens to one of the few girls at my uni everyone wants to bang and she's apparently (I'm guessing) singled me out in her own weird way. Seems like it would be a bit excessive to just ignore her straight up just to remind myself I have other options.

Really, cute you reckon? Well that goes against everything I've been thinking. I've often thought it's better to come across as obnoxious, stupid, rude, etc., just so long as you're not coming across as anxious. Very good news for me then if I'm wrong.

Huh thats pretty interesting. Never occurred to me that most of the time what I'm most anxious about is being anxious. Or being seen as being anxious at least.

Yeah probably, well the other options are just a lot worse I reckon. This girl has a pretty amazing charm. Otherwise I wouldn't really bother with tryna figure out what may be going through her mind.

I can't because she has a boyfriend ATM, which is something I probably should have included in the post. But what I find weird is that after getting the boyfriend she's become a lot more interested in me, in her own sort of unusual way at least. She's also become more flirty over time, but that can easily be explained away by her just having a flirty character and becoming more comfortable with me. But its the anxiety and eagerness to put on her best impression that makes me think something is u…

Surprisingly she has caught on to my reluctance to make a move but hasn't pulled away in disgust. I've implied a few shit excuses here and there, like that I don't like to have sex with girls I'm already friends with (said in relation to another girl), and she seems to just take it without it changing her behaviour much. Yeah I do think her niceness may well be motivated by attraction, for example I know that despite being very nice she is also very vein, and so probably wouldn't like to be arou…

Haha, yeah that's more or less what happened. I punched on with my best friend (we fight often but not seriously) after he slapped me, but then we made up straight after. However while we ourselves made up, the girls were really distressed and wanted to go home. The one who's since been talking to me left with them, but evidently more out of obligation, and since then she's been talking to me about wanting to heal my anger.

How does she go about it then? Every girl who has wanted to have sex with me, aside from girls met at clubs, has been overly nice to me to communicate it. The only reason i ask about this is because it is an unusual and very specific sort of niceness, rather than things like compliments and showing general good favour.

Sex necessarily? Or maybe just return favours?

Yeah true. However I feel like humour often makes them like you so much that they trick themselves into thinking you're extremely good looking. You know a cognitive dissonance sort of think. For example at my uni I've had girls talking to their friends about me as if I'm some sort of stunning guy, when really I'm just a very plain looking guy who makes them laugh a lot.
