You are talking about fighting a woman. Good luck explaining your self-defense case to the police, the prosecutor, and the jury. I am not saying it’s right. I am saying it’s the way it is. If you are ever in this situation, leave immediately. Don’t fight them, don’t hit them, don’t hold them. Call the police if necessary. Record the incident if possible. And leave quickly.

It depends. Putting your hands on someone and holding them against their will is a tricky proposition. A big problem is it usually ends up being he-said/she-said (unless you are able to record the incident). My advice to clients is to leave immediately. Don’t try to restrain anyone. If you’re in a situation that has escalated to domestic violence against you, nothing good is going to happen by staying.

That’s tort law (civil). In criminal law, it varies. Some states call it assault. Some call it battery.

Lawyer here. Do it and you’re going to jail. She may or may not be going with you. I’ve seen it happen too many times to count. Keep this in mind: As a general rule, if you hit someone, it’s assault. Period. Whether you were acting in self defense is generally a question for a jury. You can held be in jail while awaiting trial.

Very serious crimes? The charge is “tampering with consumer products” ffs. Not murder. You must have lived a sheltered life to consider that a serious crime. Congrats.

Minor children are fortunate that you don’t write the law.

Agree to disagree. Kids do stupid shit. That’s the reason we have a different penal system for kids and adults. Everyone deserves one warning for a nonviolent crime.

To be fair, that punishment would be appropriate in this case. We shouldn’t strive for more minors to be sent to juvenile detention.

"Public figure" applies to the victim of the libel or slander, not the perpetrator/defendant (here, Rolling Stone). Rolling Stone's status with respect to "public figure" status is irrelevant.

It isn’t just unnecessary, but it’s outright dangerous to demand that survivors must tell media who their attackers are to make their stories worth hearing. The assumption this author incorrectly makes is that these accounts should be "stories" in the first place. Because it is also "unnecessary" and "outright dangerous" to "demand" that survivors tell the media anything. However once they do, it is not only reasonable for a journalist to check the facts - it is their duty. Now I don't expect a …

Maybe. Maybe not. How she responded matters. If she was just honestly answering his question and he curbed her then he's a little fuck. If she was bitchy about it or took the "truth" way too far, she shoulda better known better. He's a little fuck either way, and I wouldn't have bounced, but that doesn't mean she didn't deserve it.

Of course. I don't understand all the hate in here. She's basically saying she's down to fuck alphas now, and wants a beta to wait for her. I really don't see what the problem is.

the hatred people spew…stems from their own bitterness, insecurity and failure That one statement sums up more about human nature, and therefore life, than most people will ever know.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
