The idea that a high value, upper middle-class man is going to happily get married to some uneducated barwoman as long as she's pretty and submissive to him is basically pure fantasy. These men are actually the most likely to value education in a woman. WRONG

Up until the most recent generation there was no need to formally pass down this knowledge because society was already set up legally and ethically that it would temper women’s inherent misogyny. These societal restrictions were ripped away in the most recent generation and this is the result.

I’d say you cut the shit. Nobody is arguing you can get in shape by going to the gym a few times a week. There’s a big difference between healthy male physique and action movie star physique that you are just downplaying for some reason. There’s a reason these guys get out of shape when they’re not on set and contractually obligated to be at this standard of fitness- it’s because these standards are not sustainable without a lot of extra time money and effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/19 07:30 PM

You’re downplaying the effort it takes to make some type of convoluted point. https://youtu.be/3ethD3-sis4 https://youtu.be/okM3OYaBQGg if you think this is a sustainable workout standard for the average man I don’t know what planet you’re living on.

Some don't get play. You missed my point of - lifting is not some cure all for doing better with women. I don't know why it keeps getting thrown around on TRP as this general cure all. It helps - and it's definitely healthy for you so you should by all means do it - but becoming alpha fucks has as much to do with psychology, career, status, and social circle, as it does simply lifting. You are prescribing a very simplistic solution to a complex problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/19 12:01 PM
1

It's not a valid theory. The theory of - 'just lift and you will be alpha fucks' - regardless if most people are able to follow through or not. Like I said, I've known totally jacked guys that still get oneitis and get played by women.

I think you'd have a < 10% obesity rate if simply going to the gym meant that you get laid.

Even that's not true. I've known skinny mother fuckers who got tail. Here's a celebrity example: Justin Bieber at age 17, just a skinny effeminite looking guy - and yet he is in the door like a motherfucker, no lifting weights required. And I know tons of basically non jacked looking guys in my life who have gotten in the door without this whole lifting weights step. They got in the door through connections, networking, sheer personality, maybe being in the right frat or owning a BMW, getting in…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/19 04:27 AM

The answer is not lifting weights because if it was just lifting weights then everyone would do it and be getting laid and there probably wouldn't even be such a thing as the 'red pill' because guys would be too busy having sex to complain about women on reddit. You've shifted from 'just lift weights' to 'lift weights and hold frame'. And the 'and hold frame part' is actually a pretty complex thing to do - it involves psychology, self esteem, time management, social circle, career, hobbies - and…

Do you think people rise to that level because they are naive about human nature and have no people skills? You’re assuming quite a lot. Do you think every successful businessman will just hand over his cash to any gold digger? If you know about human nature then you are already ten steps ahead. These guys are shrewd players that’s how they get to this level. And they don’t have time to play games. Also - they all just want money and status. There aren’t any exceptions to this. Upper middle class to wealthy. Would this person really be miserable? Pursuing excellence? And exactly why is the guy who goes to the gym all day and putting himself out there on the weekends so happy comparatively? That can also be considered an empty existence because the time is spent pursuing this elusive idea of happiness and alpha fucks status. Career status and wealth are permanent and quantifiable. Also who cares if they stick around? We don’t want them to and don’t expect them to. Even …

I’d argue a guy who puts all his time into his career and becomes extremely financially successful and high status will do so much better than some guy who just goes to the gym 7 days a week, has a nice haircut and ‘puts himself out there’. The successful rich guy won’t even have to put himself out there, they’ll find him.

I agree w the ‘living in a hotel instead of living in a house’ analogy. Spinning plates is a lot more work. It’s also more fun, varied, and at the end of the day you don’t have a huge mortgage that could potentially ruin you if you fall behind. It’s a lot less risk and more ... casual.

There is a strong element of brotherhood and the promotion of masculine virtues that may not be possible for women to understand fully. Or it may be unbelievable to you in the same way it may be unbelievable to me when a 300 pound purple haired feminist says that her urge to dismantle the patriarchy has nothing to do with being rejected by men all her life. There are definitely men who could never get a date if their lives depended on it who use MGTOW as a cope. But from my perspective I see a l…

We don't care about women. It's about walking away and IDGAF, but it's also about spreading these ideas to other men who may be unhappy but don't have a grasp on why they are unhappy. It's trying to help other people by showing them other options in life. It's about promoting brotherhood and masculinity. And it's also about educating young men about the reasons why we have chosen to take the MGTOW route in today's society.

Me disparaging about her weight became one of the contributing factors of my divorce. Fyi the family courts look on this as 'emotional abuse'. It's pretty ironic because a woman can nag a man all day about getting a job and the court DGAF. Double standard.

I agree but - try this yourself outside of MGTOW forums sometime - like a regular old subreddit or FB group. You will get shouted down and cancelled within two seconds. We ought to be tough as nail on this - but look at the direction societal propaganda is heading. Here is a problem w that - in the context of marriage and kids - losing the 'baby weight' is the perfect excuse to be lazy af. A woman can have a kid and she's basically done. If you complain 'you're not losing the baby weight' - you are the bad guy because you're shallow and she had the baby and virtue signaling for some reason and yadda yadda. Once a woman has a baby she has license to gain weight and be lazy, the man can't say shit about it. Unless he wants major drama and or divorce.

I was on a FB relationship advice group a few weeks ago. We were discussing 'reasons you broke up with people' and I said 'she gained weight'. Holy crap I got crucified by nearly all the women and even most of the men in that group. Men are absolutely not allowed to have standards in today's society. We're supposed to date fat women and like it. We're supposed to date used up single mothers and like it. Women will break up w a guy for gaining weight but they'll be a lot more smooth about it - …

plenty of us get along just fine every day, and making a blanket statement like that is just wrong. It's there in the title of this thread - MGTOW is making it harder for (me) to interact with people, I wasn't making a blanket statement. And yes, it was already hard for me to interact with people before MGTOW, I'm not the most extroverted person or have the best social skills. I'm trying to be better in this area of my life, though. Just venting I guess. And yes I was talking about real life int…

So you're saying 'they' have the power? I guess that's true. People are being silenced or cancelled or banned from platforms like Youtube, Reddit, Twitter etc. every day for speaking really basic fundamental things MGTOW know to be true. That kind of sucks, come to think of it.
/r/MGTOW06/06/19 11:13 PM

Thats a good analogy. I'll keep that in mind. I also think it's hard for me because I'm still (still) in TRP Rage stage, so I'm basically raging 24/7 lol. So it just makes it harder for me to wear the mask.

I agree, it just kind of sucks there's this extra dimension to every social interaction now where I have to either calibrate my words, risk unnecessary drama by speaking my truth, or avoid being social altogether. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Are you reading what I wrote? I’m agreeing with you and then calling women out for other things.
/r/MGTOW06/06/19 09:37 PM

Well they're married, the women have them basically trapped at that point - married to a land whale. They either complain to her and risk friction in the marriage or they get divorced and lose all their shit.
/r/MGTOW06/06/19 08:47 PM
4

I get your point, but that's partly because women just have a higher bf to muscle ratio than men. Also what I was getting at is - looks don't matter as much for men, it's way more about status/money than it is about looks. Women know that looks is what men care about the most - but after the wedding they just let themselves go like this, often don't put any effort at all into their appearance. While men are expected to keep earning more and more to keep them happy.
/r/MGTOW06/06/19 06:59 PM
46

Men definitely let themselves go physically just as much as women - there's the stereotype of the 'dad bod' after all, and most guys go bald or grey. The thing is - women's primary value to a man is sexual/physical appearance, while men's primary value to a woman is how he provides and his status, which isn't dependent on how he looks.
/r/MGTOW06/06/19 04:55 PM

It’s not worth it trying to convert blue pill guys. People get offended, it’s like insulting someone’s religion.
/r/MGTOW04/06/19 10:55 PM

It's not meant to buy necessities for children, per se. It's meant to 'equalize' the living situation between the father and mothers house - the idea is, you can't have the dad making 5x as much as the mother and the child going from squalor at the mom's house to living in luxury at the dad's house, because that would alienate the child from the lower earning parent. I don't agree w it, but that's the logic being applied here.
