There's also the distinct possibility that the best friend is a little jealous of OPs casual lack of commitment to the girl, sees that as unfair as the best friend has committed to his girlfriend. Had this problem in college a few times. I'd not respond. Hold frame. If the friend pushes on it tell him to butt out, if he continues then give him the "I don't tell you what to do in your relationships". Pure savage would be to red-pill orient the friend though. Once there's some abundance in OPs lif…

Yes but consider this - if she actually wanted to do anything with her life other than "have some fun, find a nice guy and settle down" (read: ride CC, settle for beta bux) she would have gone and studied in college. Or at least learned a trade, worked somewhere else, etc - but she stayed stationary at the stationary store. He even says she didn't have many future prospects, she was stuck in a rut = she was looking for a provider.

Probably not more effective in college, just more expensive. There are plenty of guys in and not in college who would love to take a young girl home and they wouldn't even ask (or care) if she was in college. Hell, he ran into her at a bar...

Off topic, but I'm surprised how much of the guidance here is extremely similar to what is often said in the rooms (AA/NA).

If she just suddenly kicked you out of the house and you have no legal obligation to give her money, don't give her money. Honestly she just made your life harder than it needs to be, don't make it even harder by feeling like you have to give her money when you don't. As for the emails... well, for a start you don't actually need to read them. So don't open them. Hell make a filter to make them skip your inbox entirely so you don't even see them if you feel the need too.

He'd let her take care of him until he was like 75% then save the world from an international gang of well funded highly intelligent adversaries with the help of a gorgeous female spy that wanted him so bad the sexual tension would literally kill lesser humans. So basically let his value lower a little bit while sick then raise it through the fucking stratosphere.

A quote from on of my favorite books: HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. DO YOU KNOW, THAT IN A UNIVERSE SO FULL OF WONDERS, THEY HAVE MANAGED TO INVENT BOREDOM.

Oh man. You sound like you're almost exactly in the same situation I was in two years ago. Here's what I ended up doing: I started being the 100% model roommate. Anything I did I cleaned up. I swept, did laundry, dusted, cleaned the counters, the whole nine yards. My room was spotless, my bathroom too. Everything that was mine was super organized - my records, my stuff in the pantry and fridge, everything. Basically I worked on myself. Hit the gym and everything. Then I started to make sure he k…

The spinner type - short, blonde/redhead, athletic. Love to laugh and is a sarcastic asshole, but not a high maintenance bitch. "one of the guys" that happens to be a woman. preferably someone who switches it up in bed a lot - one day loves being submissive, the next day loves teasing/controlling.

There are legal benefits to getting married, e.g. taxes and health care. So yeah, it does gain you something. I disagree with the notion of delaying your exit - you can leave a marriage if you want to as well and those are supposed to be forever. This could be a different legal construct that eschews the quagmire that is family courts and instead makes it more like contract law where things are much more well defined. You can break a lease with your landlord, usually with 60 days notice, why not…

Tax and health care benefits, similar to the benefits you would get from a marriage except without the legal quagmire that goes along with "true" marriage. This explicitly says the relationship is temporary so you're not going to be entering into this with a woman who has that "happily ever after" pipe-dream.

Agreed, marriages (if recognized by the state) should be an explicit legal contract between individuals with equal advantages and disadvantages for each person. But since the current legal status of marriage is iffy and tied into this conundrum of a social construct, plus the added disadvantage of family courts would it not be better to enter into a similarly beneficial marriage lease (where the benefits of "true" marriage are gained, e.g. tax and health care benefits) where the legal construct …
