Then it sounds like you don't understand women fully. I've had loads of deep conversations with women, and emotional vulnerability doesn't lower attraction if it's coming from a secure place – in fact it raises attraction in that case. Showing your intelligence in a deep conversation can even trigger hypergamy if you're more knowledgable on the subject than the girl is (I often have that during conversations with women about things like meditation, mindfulness, and deep perspectives on life).

Then you're arbitrarily depriving yourself of deep conversations with a demographic of people capable of them. It sounds like you're quite bitter towards women. A positive shift in perspective on them will make you much happier IMO (and IME).

Seriously, this. Just cause OP has never been able to have a deep conversation with a woman doesn't mean that no women are self-aware. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, too: treat women in your mind as dumb creatures incapable of introspection or empathy, and you're only going to have shallow conversations with them.

I sub to really left wing and right wing forums, TRP and TwoXChromosomes, subs about adultery and subs about those recovering from being cheated on... because no matter which of them I align with more, they all have something to offer, and the sheer fact that I'm checking in with so many belief networks helps keep me grounded Would love to see a list of varied subs like that that you recommend.

Honestly, If I get my ass kicked every day If I don't go to the gym, I am going to the gym every day. More likely, you'd leave the house pretending to go to the gym, and then hide in a safe place because all the beatings have turned you into a no-testosterone, scared mess. My mom beating me when I lied didn't stop me from lying, it just made me try harder to not get caught lying. But anyway I probably won't reply to any more messages in this thread because it's getting kinda depressing trying to…

it raises tough kids and now I'm walking on eggshells seem quite contradictory. it doesn't work if your dad is a wad of cookie dough. Dude my dad was one of the only reasons I didn't turn out an entire suicidal wreck from my childhood (just a partial one). If he was also an abusive asshole my life would've been SO much worse, back then and now. As beta as my dad was, at least he was a role model for working hard (and he didn't even have to beat me to teach me how to work hard! gasp), encouraged …

Like I got slapped Completely unnecessary and teaches your kid nothing. had a real long lecture Much better. Actually explains to the kid why they should behave differently, for their own sake. Assuming it's not just a lecture consisting of "you should do X, just because I say so". Grounding or sending them in their fucking room These are just examples of mild punishments. Punishments (strong or mild) don't work well for actually teaching your kids. Think about it, as an adult, do you improve yo…

Did you have a dad? Yup, a betaized one If so, you were getting beaten without rhyme or reason I got beaten when I got into trouble (e.g. lying, bad report card, etc). Doesn't change the fear-inducing effects of it. Typical Asian parenting is a horrible way to raise strong and confident kids.

Yo fuck that man, beating your children is horrible for them. And red pill? The way my abusive, domineering mom treated me turned me into a passive little beta blue-pilled boy living in fear. Had to unlearn a LOT. I don't plan on having kids but if I did, I think there'd be a much better way of teaching my sons to be stoic, masculine, and red pilled. They could still enjoy their childhood (much more actually, since they'd have a better home life and a better social life) and be well adjusted for…

press the issue Oh yeah she'll keep texting, that's why he should ignore all messages, but also let her know with that final message that he won't be replying anymore. Full unempathetic ghosting would only make her even more pissed and feel used / dehumanized. Which would make the steak knife incident much more likely IMO.

Follow /u/menial_optimist's advice above and send her an empathetic text, it should help minimize the chances of her fucking you over (physical violence, stalking, etc). Be clear about your intentions, say something like "I'm sorry for the rough time you're going through. I never promised anything and at this point I don't want to continue seeing each other. I hope you feel better and I won't reply to anything after this." Just my input. I dealt with an emotional volcano of a girl a couple years…

There's always a chance dude, people have different tastes. Whether 1% of skinny guys will like you or 99%, there's a chance. She wants to date UP, not DOWN. This part doesn't apply (not in the same way at least) since guys haven't evolved to care about things like social status or cockiness or things like that, while girls have. Gay guys often seem to be just as visual as straight guys, whereas girls experience attraction much more based on a guy's behaviour.

Then don't meditate but don't act like you have any fucking clue what meditation is like. You clearly don't know. And don't discourage others from meditating by spreading your "meditation isn't for everyone, I closed my eyes for a few minutes a few times and I got bored" bullshit. I'm seriously surprised that you still seem to have no idea how ridiculous your words are. Again it's like someone saying they did a few bicep curls and nothing happened, so working out isn't for everyone. Nobody has e…

Nope but I did when I first started. You can explore meditation however you'd like, there are many ways to meditate. Back in the day I heard a cool tip of "listen to the silence in between the sounds around you" and that provided an interesting way to not be bothered by distracting sounds. But there are loads of ways. Focus on your breath intensely, focus on your breath gently, focus on nothingness, focus on relaxing your body, focus on feeling happy, etc.

1) It's not patience. The first time I sat down to do an hour, it wasn't patience that got me through, I was just determined. 2) It gets easier as you do more. Try to enjoy it every time. Take pleasure in your breath. 3) Do guided meditations if you find them easier, that's how I got started. Calm.com has some decent free ones.

LOL that is really common when you start. That's like saying "I tried working out a few times, but I got tired and gave up after the first couple reps each time. I don't think it's for everyone." The more you meditate the less you tend to get sleepy during meditation. And if you keep at it the results are crazy. No activity has sustainably skyrocketed my happiness as much as meditation. And I'm not talking about dabbling for 5 minutes every few weeks. I started out with around 10-20 mins everyda…

My current "mission" is actually writing a book about my 18 year marriage - she got sick with a chronic illness about four years in, so I'm writing about what happened, what I did wrong, what I should have done. And it's coming from a brutally honest TRP viewpoint. Wow. Sounds beautiful man. My last girlfriend before I found TRP also had a chronic illness (plus several mental illnesses), and it definitely all combined with female psychology to create a hot TRP mess. So I relate a little, except …

Nice man. As someone who's still fairly new to seduction / TRP-related stuff, assuming you know what you're talking about, I'd totally read a The Book Of Pook sort of thing written by you.

Frame basics: Let her be the sea while you be Gibralter. She can be calm one second, and a hurricane the next, and what does Gibralter do? Nothing. It lets the sea be the sea all around it. But it doesn't react to her moods because it's a fucking immovable mountain. Stand there and smile. Give her a hug. Tap her on the ass. Enjoy watching her be a woman. If you don't love women in all their moods, don't play the Game. Beautiful imagery, thanks for sharing

Personally I'd sum it up as, allow yourself to feel lust, but have non-needy mentalities grounding you. Just cause you're attracted to a girl doesn't mean you're thirsty. And yeah of course don't talk to them like all you want is to fuck them, they're human and you'd be limiting the awesomeness of the interaction (for both you and her) by only thinking about sex. But there's no need to suppress your lust or prevent sexual tension from building. She's gonna know you wanna fuck her when you take y…

Being yourself, I'd say. Selfishly and completely yourself. If caring deeply about others is something that naturally happens for you, let that happen, and embrace it. But yeah, also be assertive, which also comes from being unapologetically yourself.

Good plate? Sweet girl, satisfies you sexually and emotionally? Get along with her well, treats you like royalty, never gives you any drama? Ignore her for a while. Maybe half a year. You don’t need an excuse, just disappear. Go game other girls, don’t get complacent. Ignore her frantic calls and texts, make her think she’s lost you forever. She’ll stress all night for weeks over what she did to screw up, truth is, she didn’t do anything to deserve it; you’re just messing with her. Completely a …

I view both the radical-TRP mindset of "all girls are loveless sluts" and the radical-bluepill mindset of "just be nice and you'll fall in love and everything will be swell" as oversimplifications that won't get you optimal results for happiness and relationships in your life. TRP gets a lot of stuff right about female psychology. Some of the mindsets are even healthy IMO, compared to mainstream perspectives. For example: I really liked this girl and wanted to set up a relationship TRP advises n…

Oh it's definitely something you can get better at over time. Don't stress about it obviously cause that would be counterproductive, literally the process of learning to have more fun and be more socially loose should be a very enjoyable process (you're allowing yourself to enjoy a social environment more and more over time).

Lol if I had to relive my whole life again and again I'd be less likely to put myself through the discomfort that I currently do (e.g. cold showers, getting rejected, etc). I'd rather sit at home smoking weed for eternity.

If I can give one piece of sage advice, it is that you should accept all responsibility for living the lifestyle you want. If it requires you to be lonely sometimes, accept that. If it requires you to not be respected sometimes, accept that it. If it requires you to make less money, accept that. If it requires you to work hard, accept that. Do whatever it takes to live by your own rules, and spend as much time as it takes to understand what your own rules are. Beautifully written, thanks for thi…

At this point its I don't want the good life, I want to end my life lmao. Yo at this point you don't need to go hard at the gym (although it's great to do that too, and it will help), you need to work on a healthier mind. Figure out how to be happy (again, or if you're like 19-year-old-me, for the first time) and everything else will naturally fall into place. Listen to Alan Watts, journal, self-reflect, meditate, etc. Happiness comes from the inside. Make it your priority. Without it, external …

You can't state crazy stuff like that and not give at least a few examples. I can do what I want lol. I'm not writing a scientific thesis. I have multiple stoner friends who are incredibly productive and love to get lots of work done while stoned. I like to have long code seshes while stoned, depending on what the code is like. Believe whatever you wanna believe though, I'm not trying to convert anyone into a fellow stoner coder. If you do want famous examples of productive stoners, though, thin…

watch TV and be on the phone all day I mean those things are addictive as well, and low-value. I just finished reading Deep Work by Cal Newport (highly, highly recommend) and he put it into words really well. Shallow work (easily repeatable activities, from browsing Reddit to sending work emails) is almost everywhere in society, and our brains have been wired to constantly seek out similar shallow activities. To the point where even when we try to go into deep work (distraction-less and immersed…

But smoking pot will do more damage to your motivation than having an hobby playing games. I disagree. Games are designed to be as addictive as possible. They hinge on the most vulnerable parts of our brain. Companies literally hire psychologists for this stuff. Meanwhile weed just happens to be some plant that does interesting things to our subjective experience. It can be habit forming, but it's not as directly addictive as video games. My opinion is also based on my personal experience of cou…

Having a few females that you've actually put in the friend zone can be beneficial for social proof, fucking their friends and also just getting a female perspective on things that happen (if you understand that their perspective comes from a female mindset). Also girls can be very chill... I sense way too much bitterness on this sub sometimes

Are you, against your own best interests, maintaining your capacity to be hurt by her? I like this wording. The default is not being vulnerable, the default is living firsthand by your own values and experiences. It takes energy to allow others to impact your emotions.

Actually that's not true: The term rape originates from the Latin rapere (supine stem raptum), "to snatch, to grab, to carry off". Since the 14th century, the term has come to mean "to seize and take away by force". In Roman law, the carrying off of a woman by force, with or without intercourse, constituted "raptus". In Medieval English law the same term could refer to either kidnapping or rape in the modern sense of "sexual violation". The original meaning of "carry off by force" is still found…
