Wouldn't that go against your earlier argument then? As in "assume the victim is lying". If you assume someone is lying before due process, you've already assumed culpability one way or the other.

Wouldn't it be wisest to first support the victim while not assuming either way? As in support the potential victim, but wait for due process and then make your judgement. Innocent until proven goes both ways.
