| 3 | Men and the perception that we only care about sexThank you so much for writing this down. I too am getting sick and tired of the constant stream of sexual content being thrown at me. It's not that I hate sex, in fact I love it, but to be constantly reminded of my dick is getting really, really old. The constant visual stimuli are too much and I sometimes find myself thinking that I must be a pervert or something for thinking about sex all the time. Feels good to know I am not the only one :) | /r/MensRights | 19/05/12 07:01 PM |
| 1 | Media attempts to perpetuate the Glass Ceiling mythToo bad no reasons are mentioned as to WHY these CEOs aren't intending to appoint any women in the near future. That would be much more interesting than just claiming the number needs to be 50/50. But I guess thats would be just sexist /s | /r/MensRights | 15/05/12 10:10 PM |
| 0 | Hannah Byron, 20, whose false rape claim led to an innocent man being arrested. Was seeking attention to make her former boyfriend jealous. Judge ordered 12-month prison sentence, suspended.I doubt the majority of these false accusations are designed to destroy somebody elses life, >but rather create drama, attention or an alabi in their own. Regardless of the reason somebody >did something, the fact is that they did it. Feeling sorry or bad about what you did doesn't go >very far when there's very real and innocent people hurt by this. It was my understanding that the man who got arrested was just a guy who "fit the description" and that she completely fabricated the whole story. … | /r/MensRights | 11/05/12 10:44 PM |

Judge ordered 12-month prison sentence, suspended.Isn't falsely accusing someone of murder the same as trying to have them murdered? You do have a point there. If, b/c of your false accusation, someone has to fry, it is basically murder by proxy. To that I agree. And in the shitty US prison system, being sentenced for rape probably will get you raped in prison as well. Didnt really think of it from that perspective. | /r/MensRights | 11/05/12 06:16 PM |

Judge ordered 12-month prison sentence, suspended. No, it isnt excusible, and that is why she got sentenced. But I do think that there is a difference between falsely accusing someone of rape because you want to destroy someone's life or because you want your ex to care about you. But that's just my opinion. Also, I dont think this case is comparable to unloading a gun on customers and co-workers. Please enlighten me how this is the same. A false accusation is not the same as mass-murder last time I checked. Probably the only thing we can agree … | /r/MensRights | 11/05/12 06:05 PM |

| -13 | Hannah Byron, 20, whose false rape claim led to an innocent man being arrested. Was seeking attention to make her former boyfriend jealous. Judge ordered 12-month prison sentence, suspended.Obviously, telling her ex this story was reprehensible, nevermind going to the police. Im not saying she should go unpunished. And if I were her ex I would run away from her without looking back. Plus if I were the falsely accused I would definitely sue. So I do agree with you in general and should probably have given it a little more thought before posting. I still feel however that a broken heart is somewhat of a extenuating circumstance (probably b/c I have gone through some serious heartache… | /r/MensRights | 11/05/12 03:17 PM |
| -3 | Hannah Byron, 20, whose false rape claim led to an innocent man being arrested. Was seeking attention to make her former boyfriend jealous. Judge ordered 12-month prison sentence, suspended.I assumed she initially was planning on only telling her ex b/c the article says: "Mr Russell said once Byron had told her ex-boyfriend of the alleged attack, it snowballed and she could not back out of it." | /r/MensRights | 11/05/12 03:05 PM |
| -43 | Hannah Byron, 20, whose false rape claim led to an innocent man being arrested. Was seeking attention to make her former boyfriend jealous. Judge ordered 12-month prison sentence, suspended.Even though I firmly believe false rape accusations should be taken very, very seriously, I also feel that people do crazy things when their hearts are broken. In this case I think it just snowballed out of her control after she initially told the story to her ex. She probably wasnt even planning on going to the cops, so in this particular case I think the suspended sentence is justified. | /r/MensRights | 11/05/12 02:19 PM |
