Some people have needs, some are needy. I'm a genuinely needy person and I look for similar energy in a partner. But EVERYONE has needs. You're incorrect re: women hating insecurities in men. Make sure you are not assuming things about other genders. I am a woman and if a man revealed an insecurity, I'd just think he's human. To save face I'd expect only 1-2 revealed on a first date, and I'd do the same reciprocally. But being intimate sexually/emotionally with someone means sharing how you feel…

Find another girl, one who reciprocates your interest. This one isn’t right. You can make one last check in if she is the last person who replied. Otherwise, let it be.

If someone wants stability, cards on the table is incredibly attractive. Talking like you want an LTR 2-3 dates in is completely healthy. But what you said about “do not put more effort than she does” Does indeed gamify dating. It’s not wise because any connection is a risk. You do sometimes need to put in more effort than your partner to see if they reciprocate. If you take no risks you’ll be left with surface level partnerships. Most women want an LTR. They want someone who is serious and trea…

No such thing as the right person? Then Jesus, what is the point of all this? Lmao. If you spend your entire relationship putting up a front, feeling needy and not expressing it, it’s gonna be kinda crappy by default. Your needs will not be met because you never express them. You’ll be connected at a surface level and you’ll find only partners who match and reciprocate at the surface. A good relationship means sometimes being vulnerable. That doesn’t involve playing games. OTOH, if you’re the ki…

I’m not sure that’s a good rule of thumb at all.. better to pay attention to reciprocity. But if you are serious about someone, you should say it and act it. With the right person, your bids for connection will be met and it will be reciprocal. Make sure you’re not gamifying dating. It’s not a race to see who can pretend to give the least craps.

Men intimidated by you are frightened by your power... tough! It sounds like they don’t know how to relate to a woman platonically, romantically or sexually, that they can’t dominate.

She is inspirational. I give her “We should all be feminists” book to all my LVM relatives as a helping book lol

I feel like Western culture missed the fucken boat on wearing masks even before COVID. Asian cultures were out here being collectivist and non-shitty to others since forever and masks are/were commonplace when anyone is sick or traveling. Meanwhile every time I go to the grocery store or pharmacy in my US state, there are twelve middle-aged white men with 1-ply masks they can't even bear to keep over their mouths or noses. The half mask is my favorite and the ultimate lazy LVM move - "I don't ca…

I wasn't sure if it was a COVID-19 protection/cloth face mask or a face mask for skincare. Either applies omfg

I try to fantasize about who I am crushing on lately, but try to also remember it is just sexual urges and I am taking care of them myself, so there is no need to romanticize and project on that particular dude. I'm still figuring out if he is worth my time. This also helps because most men are just not that good at sex and even with good sexual partners who are experienced and GGG it takes some time to adjust to a new partner. I also lately am trying to give myself patience for the sexual relat…

I don't know why but this entire post just made me think of a chihuahua that peed itself in fear. Like if there was a dog that represented a male poster like the one mentioned in OP, it's that. Meanwhile all the FDS women out here are like a beautiful cocker spaniel, Newfoundland, Pomeranian, black lab, Golden Retriever, Labradoodle, $1000-3000 fancy ass gorgeous dogs. Went to the grooming salon last week. Brushed lovingly. Their owner probably goddamn brushes their little teeths too. tl;dr Peak…

I'm sorry this happened, it sounds annoying af. I am so sick of men asking me for affirmation about their penis. 1-800-who-asked. I'm not out here asking you for affirmation about my body. I like it just the way it is and if you don't like it you can get wrecked lmfao, I'll dump/block men who say sh*t like that so fast their head will spin. Even if their penis isn't perfect, there is nothing to be done about it. Like you said, they could just make the best of it and learn other methods, but nah.…

> marginalized group makes a safe space, an affinity space to talk amongst themselves and make themselves safer from shitty behavior, oppression, and bullshit > for once you (as a cis man) are not allowed in and catered to 24/7 > kneejerk reaction: im dying. I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning, I break my legs, and every afternoon, I break my arms. Oh he's 100% testing you with the shitty excuse. He knows you know and expects you to put up with it, gaslight yourself that it's toooootally fine and then still give him all the benefits he's looking for, whether FWB or gf. Whaaaat a loser. How we treat people in relationships also says sooo much about our own self-esteem.

I'm super grateful to y'all for this sub's content and feeling of sisterhood. Before this, I'd be the girl above. The internalized gaslighting was way too real. "Am I overreacting????" I'd ask constantly, while being treated like literal shit. Now I don't give LVM the time of day. I can feel my self-respect rising every time that I do it and my peace increase, and it gives me more time in my life for hobbies and self-improvement. Plus, I'm saving so much avoiding the sunk cost of NEW TRAUMA from…

I’m still mad tho lollllll or perhaps this hits on something for me. I have dated many an older man (much older than this guy claims) hoping they’d be more mature, turns out, if an older man is significantly unpartnered at that age, there’s usually a reason. This is the type of dude that wants to be FWB but his FWB relationship will be all one would give to a bf. He wants free pussy, no accountability, no emotional labor (a true pump and dump loser) and to give you 20 STIs.

He asked “what do you picture in your head when you think of that” Bruh I’m not writing your shitty erotica self insert. Why are you so obsessed with dating women younger than you? Oh, right, because women your age have wised TF up and are too smart for you. You’re interested in a more vulnerable population 🙃

This is so sad tho. If he is a man that won’t respect a boundary without 4847473738 explanations and justifications, omg, dump him.

The bar is so low for men. It's lying on the ground omfg. I think they could do this labor and know how to, they just don't want to.

Ugh, wow. He told you who he is...he wants to take that emotional labor from women with no expectation to reciprocate. It honestly makes me so angry lmfao

Reminds me of the Rihanna song lyrics: "All of my kindness, was taken for weakness." He 100% wanted to use you and viewed your asking for emotional labor was not part of the bargain. Disgusting. I think we should all be looking for HVM who let us be our empathetic selves AS we feel comfortable, we can care about him knowing that he will be reciprocal when we need it. Otherwise, I'm ouuuuuut lmao

Wow. I'm glad you disengaged, bleh!!! The way men talk about exes is the way they'll talk about you. If they talk super shitty about all exes I view it as a red flag and nope out the same as you did.

I mean fucked up but like...that's a really healthy way that you a) set your boundary and b) did it with humor and c) related to him and de-stigmatized the issue. hopefully all within your own comfort levels Further ridiculousness with him trying to shove it back in your face. Suicidality is tough to deal with, I feel like he should have asked for consent to even send you that. He's lucky you didn't escalate it or view it as a suicide threat which you could've and would've been completely ration…

Imagine being so stupid and heartless you can’t even imagine treating a woman with decency (or NOT ASSAULTING her) without a body camera. Or just imagine laughing about her wanting to stay safe. Hilarious, amirite??? /s

Yep! I once went on a date with a dude who cried on the first date, full on sobbed. I was young and naive. I comforted him and listened but I was also like “ok tf is this” internally. Then he tried to get me to DRIVE him back to his place bc he didn’t have a car. 100% he wanted to bang and use me as an emotional and physical cum rag. I’m not the girl and I’ll do everything I can to lift other women up so no one else is that girl, lol.

Yep. LVM don’t know about boundaries, asking consent to share something triggering. Any good person, or HVM, wouldn’t vent to you until you feel like you’re gonna pass out. Not a worthwhile partner if it feels unreciprocal and shitty forgot to mention: the censored out "m*n" in the title really made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m so sorry you’re going thru this. Courts say a lot of things and honestly what they are telling you sounds super normalizing of abuse and violence. I think common sense says if someone throws things at people, shoves people, they view that as acceptable behavior. I tried to say above but I made a typo, you are the expert on the situation as you’re actually there and you know this guy, his tendencies, his behavior. I am sending you many good vibes and thoughts. I’m so glad your daughter has yo…

I don’t mean to scare you but if he pushed you and threw things, do you think he would do that to your kid? It might be a good idea for her long term health/emotional health to get full custody. You know your situation better than all of this but honestly he doesn’t sound like a very good person for kids to be around.

Happy for you. It sounds like you’re in a healthy place. He also basically said he doesn’t have the education to date you. It sounds like he’s correct. I used to try to under-date education wise but it never worked out for me. Dudes would always feel insecure that I have a Master’s and we’d talk about it, it would be “fine,” but then there would be this underlying insecurity and touchiness when I had aaaaaany opinion contrasting with theirs. You’re worth so much more than this and I’m glad you k…

Leaving the video game conveys she was fine financially regardless without him and it’s not a bother. You have the high decency to be generous even when he’s absolute trash. And it’s the truth- she entered there with gifts and breakfast. That’s really sweet relationship behavior. On the flip side, one of my exes had given really sweet, expensive gifts the Valentines before we broke up. I asked him if he wanted any of them back since we broke up quite quickly after that. He said no they are mine …

It could’ve been a game she borrowed and was returning. Alt, it could have been something she bought him but they were reciprocal (or he was more gift-y) money wise. Leaving the game shows her good intentions as well as again conveys she no longer gives two shits. Not even enough to be petty, she’s just moved on and ghosted after she dropped off the items as she would have on a normal morning.

Thank you, this really helps me. I've been examining my dating choices and why so many go so poorly. Drink dates truly are awful and sexually charged and there's no point pursuing them. Even coffee dates like you indicated, I've noted are such a letdown too. quote that rly resonated w me: They want you to know that they have no romantic intentions. They won't be honest and forthcoming about it, because they need to screen for women with low standards. They're looking for something specific-- a w…

Yeah, no. It’s still not socially acceptable to be a lesbian in today’s climate even in the LGBT community. We get guys who try to forcefully convert us into liking dick. We’ve gotten kicked out of houses. We’ve had our families turn their backs on us. We’ve had the shit beaten out of us for turning men down. We’ve been used as stepping stones for the LGBT community. We’ve been harassed by our own community because lesbians aren’t inclusive enough to all lesbians aka we don’t like transdick. We …

I’m so sorry you went through that. It’s incredibly manipulative and abusive. Overreacting to minor feedback so much that nobody ever feels safe doing it again, because literally they’re concerned you are suicidal. And clearly not caring 1oz about your mental health and impact on you sharing something that would prob be way more appropriate to share w a therapist. But cool cool, men don’t go to therapists bc paying someone for emotional labor and taking on the onus of healing themselves is Way M…
