You guys are so right about this. When you think how they "just don't know any better" because they haven't had a chance to learn healthy behaviour in their formative years, then it's so incredibly easy to feel empathy and go "it's okay, we can learn together, we'll get through this together". And then there you are, playing house with a manchild, trying to teach him basic decency and manners while he gives you scraps of affection and generally shows very little true progress (just enough to kee…

Oh hey, it looks like my original reply to you never got approved (didn't have a flair back then, but either way there was nothing bad in my comment so hopefully it's okay to just try again 😄). I managed to dig up the following post, could it be the one you were looking for? https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/g4c122/the_276_questions_to_answer_before_getting_married/

I think it's rath…

Exactly, he was still leaving them alone and stressing them out further by bringing them to a new environment. If he really couldn't leave them alone or get anyone to watch them, he probably shouldn't have gone on a date in the first place. Either way, just assuming she'd be okay with it and bringing them on the date without asking first was definitely not cool.

I'm very, very happy for you! Such sorry excuses for men change us into someone we're not, until we hardly recognise ourselves. Congrats on shedding those chains of misery, stay strong, and all the best to you in your glorious new future!

Ooh, this is such a great and terrifying topic. While we can certainly see the dangerous combination of arrogance and incompetence among doctors of both sexes, I agree that it's a lot more common among male doctors who treat a female patient. For example, I've had a rather full-of-himself male GP write irrelevant and belittling comments about me in my digital medical history (while dismissing any notion that I might actually have a health issue), and another, specialist doctor mock me because of…
