this reply is exactly what i'm talking about. you are extremely defensive and seemingly don't take on board anything said, even constructive criticism. "if that's the case" is a figure of speech. it doesn't necessarily mean the person who uses it is accusing the other party of lying. i don't think either of us has anything more to gain from continuing this conversation, so unless you say something that needs replying to, i'm out. have a good life, danny.
if that's the case, i would really recommend that you look into hosting the website yourself. maybe you won't be able to do it immediately, but slowly build your skills up and maybe in 1-2 years you'll have the skillset required to be able to do it all yourself. depending on how much traffic you get, there are some good unmetered VPS plans out there that are very reasonably priced. as I said earlier, you can get an unmetered one in romania for under £10. you could seriously decrease the site's r…
i don't consider myself a feminist. i don't consider myself an MRA either. i consider things as i encounter them. you say the points are being looked into, but i sincerely doubt any of us will see the fruits of that. "looking into it" doesn't change the fact that the price it should cost to run such a site shouldn't be bankrupting the guy financing it. you say you are "looking into it" but that hasn't addressed any points, it merely delays them. it conveniently allows you to silence my raising t…
the thing about ideas/concepts is that they can stand on their own independent of who puts them forth. i have raised several points of concern. if you are unable to undermine those points with rational discourse, then they still stand regardless of what sort of person you think i am. what i may or may not have done is irrelevant when considering the points i have raised. it seems by the way you keep repeating this question about what i've done that you don't understand the above.
do you see what I mean? you're definitely trying to shift the focus away from yourself. you have done absolutely nothing in your replies to address any of the points i raised. you instead continuously try to shift the focus onto my character.
"I didn't need to turn the table on you." objectively then, why did you bring up my comment karma or post history if not to divert attention away from the points you still haven't addressed? you were employing an ad hominem attack. "You did that all yourself." you brought it up. a clear attempt to turn the tables. it's a shame you aren't capable of having rational discourse without taking things personally and getting defensive.
nice attempt at turning the tables, but the points i raised earlier are still unaddressed and remain standing. i fail to see how cynicism is running my mouth off. it’s quite telling that your goto response is to attack my character instead of attacking the points i raised
you speak much but say little. if people wish to donate to you, that is their prerogative. for myself, however, i have doubts concerning your motivation for asking the community for donations that your answers have failed to dispel. it sounds like even if people do donate, and all the money donated goes towards maintaining/developing the site (questionable, as you have not specified any targets/limits to any needed amounts), you will not be making efficient usage of those funds.
blind loyalty is something i, and hopefully many others on this subreddit, try to avoid. what you have said does nothing to address the points i raised in the message you just replied to; it's just a collection of rhetoric.
how much traffic is this site getting hit with that they can’t afford to rent a vps to host it on? something smells fishy. you can get unmetered vps plans for under £10 per YEAR. with some non-intrusive ads you could easily make that back as well as the domain subscription price. very suspicious.
i’m really not. it happens all the time. as soon as someone like that faces consequences for their actions, no matter how inflammatory, they pull the victim card out.
it might be a comfort to you or not, but chances are you would react the same as they did to you if the places were reversed. survival is selfish and altruism is always quid pro quo if you examine it deeply enough
Playing devil’s advocate: if they truly believe men are the ones with the power, then it makes sense to seek the aid of a man if you are in trouble regardless of whether you agree with the system or not.
I am not contending the point you make about women using makeup to artificially increase their sexual appeal. I am contending the claim that the vast majority of women wear makeup, as well as the claim that all women who wear makeup do so for the reason of increasing their sexual appeal. These are the generalizations I am criticizing. I am not saying they’re false, I’m saying there is no sound basis for the claims.
Sounds like you have confirmation bias. The women on the internet not making their gender apparent are probably not registering as “women” in your mind.
The point that you’re missing is that if it was a guy doing that to another guy, violence would have broken out a lot earlier than we saw in the video. I doubt you would be as eager to proclaim “too much force” in that context and might even be more inclined to think he brought the consequences on himself.
Well, for example, he totally gave her at least a partial pussy pass. If a guy was pinching and elbowing him, do you seriously think he’d put up with it for 30 minutes? Nope, didn’t think so. And all these written posts may as well be fanfiction.
People are abandoning the radfem banners in droves. Their extremist stances are the shovels digging their own graves. The balance of power will shift away from them in time.
Make a law vague enough that it can apply to almost anyone, and you've made a weapon that can be turned on any target of your choosing at your discretion.
It would be a mistake to generalize all participants of any sub/organization as a homogeneous entity. These are exactly the tactics many feminists are frequently accused of employing in this sub.
