This is a very interesting topic, my take on this is that femininity is an attitude and outer appearance can underline that. Both are not mutually exclusive, even though no one has to be pushed into some predefined norms. It all depends on each individual. Not all women look good in dresses, but thankfully we have a lot of fashion styles to choose from.

Law isn’t always as objective as you might think. In some European countries for example, the definition of sexual harassment/rape has been watered down partly to what you referred as “subjective opinions”.

Chill... I’m not taking away any agency from women, nor am I putting blame on anyone. I chose such a vague scenario for a reason, just to see how both sides go about this topic and why. I’m glad that it’s possible to have a discussion on this without being shutdown by either side. But just out of curiosity, where do you draw the line when it comes to sexual assault?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/18 04:02 PM
1

Both are adults in this scenario. My narrative was actually that the woman didn’t want to engage with the man, but got guilt tripped/manipulated to do it. To show another, similar situation, let’s take a look at those who practice BDSM: I’ve often read about dominants trying to push the boundaries of their submissives by manipulating them to do certain stuff that they aren’t into. The community does label it as abuse.

The “strong” and “independent” part only applies when it suits them, in all other cases, women are victims, apparently.

I’m not asking for any magic pill, but a reasonable discussion aside from politics, because things got astray on both sides of the fence.

I agree that a functioning adult should be able to say “no”. However, many people still end up in toxic and abusive relationships, where their ability to consent is not fully developed, especially when their upbringing was abusive as well. I endured sexual molestation as a child and was raised by narcissistic parents and even though I was spared from such incidents in adulthood, I’m not sure if I would have reacted accordingly when something like this had happened to me when I was young. I often…

Most feminists wouldn’t even consider male rape victims, period.

What are women supposed to do? - How about being a decent human? Oh wait, this requires agency and responsibility, but that's not encouraged by either side. Ironically enough, that's where feminism and TRP become two sides of the same coin. The only difference is that one sees women as eternal victims, the other as eternal perpetrators.

Yes, you're correct, my bad. 😊But the answer to who prefers what varies as much as there are individuals. People should just be honest and upfront towards themselves and others about it.

Some never had any sexual relations with men, others did as they came out later in life. It might be easier to form LTRs with men, but is that the right thing to do? I think it's dishonest and selfish to be with someone who you have no feelings for. You rob the guy of the chance to find a partner who loves him for who he is, not because he's easy.
/r/RedPillWomen22/05/17 04:11 PM

Yes, it sadly is a taboo. Many of those lesbians see their (masculine) appearance as some kind of political statement against society, especially what they regard as "heteronormative".

Let me comment on each item, I'll keep it short and sweet: 1) Radfems have indeed been trying to brainwash (straight) women to give up on men, but they didn't succeed. Just like the right assuming that being gay is a choice, the left sees being straight as a social construct. Both assumptions are misleading, I'll get to that in point 3. 2) This part is indeed correct, just like DV among straight couples isn't only a men's issue. As Erin Pizzey has always pointed out, violence is a people problem…

It's not as different as you might think and we're not aliens either last time I checked. Seriously though, biology is pretty much universal in humans. Even the dynamics are similar, except that it's between two women. Depending on what both sides have agreed upon, one can take the lead and the other will follow.
/r/RedPillWomen20/05/17 11:48 PM
1

I already mentioned in another reply that I already have a gf. 😊But despite of this and the areas, it's very hard to find quality women who aren't poisoned by feminist brainwashing. All of the negative traits TRP is pointing out also applies to many lesbians, even stronger than most would want to admit.

I'm not single, I am lucky enough to have found a gf who shares my values and views. It's just something that I have observed in general over the years.

As for fertility, if any woman wants to have children, she will make it happen one way or another. You are correct about the rules of attraction and also the general need of humans to pair bond. There are biological factors that are universal, but they manifest themselves in different forms.

In short: TRP attracts right-wing Trumpets, while feminists cream themselves over libtarded Hillary. Both overtly and covertly promote their political beliefs as if there's no middle ground.

Well she does have a few points though, looking at it as an outsider, some parts do appear just as dogmatic as feminism. This is exactly why I would never side with either, because both ideologies/views are too rigid and too politicized. This often makes a reasonable discussion very difficult on both sides, because many can't see beyond the two extremes of their misguided political agenda.

Politics of all shapes and sides tap into human emotions and endorses whatever behavior/way of thinking to push their agenda. It's not about feminine vs. masculine, or this or that. All sides create and maintain their own stereotype of whatever they regard as an enemy, and they deliberately discourage critical thinking and innovation. Any reasonable and constructive discussion on any "hot" topic would threaten their existence and of course both sides wouldn't want that.

I would probably be the last person to be expected on here, because I'm not even straight... However, true femininity is anything but celebrated in the LGBT-community. I was oftentimes accused of supporting so called "heteronormative" gender roles and that I don't look "gay" enough. Nonetheless, I am very confident about the way I am/look, but it's also quite a relief to have a space where I can be my (feminine) self. This sub is helping me to harness my femininity now and for the future.

Many people can't cope with the fact that appearance (regardless of gender) does matter in so many aspects of life, let it be the workplace, social situations or dating. There's a reason why bankers wear business attire instead of shorts/bikini for example. An outfit is basically the outer expression of one's inner personality. This is why appearance is also used to highlight the persons political statement. If all of that doesn't matter, why would many masculine lesbians explain their appearanc…

The whole "wall" thing isn't only about age and fading beauty. Much of this comes down to values and behavior. Many women in their 20's choose a promiscuous lifestyle, putting their own fun and pleasures above everything and everyone, not giving two shits about consequences. There comes a moment in life when they realize that maybe their life choices weren't that good after all, assuming that they gain enough self-criticism to explain why they still have been still single in their late 30's. A d…

People in general have a hard time taking responsibility for their own actions, hence men and women alike prefer to blame anything or anyone else in order to justify their failures. Ideologies like feminism (or even RP/MGTOW to some degree) tap into this shitty character trait, because it's easier to maintain the "us vs. them" mentality (all men are rapists vs. AWALT) reducing critical thinking and (self)reflection. So yes, women can use feminism as an excuse, just like RP/MGTOWs can.

I think what it all comes down to is that as long as both have the same values and goals, any relationship can last, regardless of age.

Everyone should have the freedom to choose the lifestyle/relationship dynamics that suits them. But with freedom comes responsibility, which is something both sides suck at in their own little ways.

This! Do (or don't do) whatever you want, not what others expect from you. You can define your own reasons why or why not to get married.

A woman should be able to do what she is good at, especially if she does have a unique talent. She should be able to take responsibility for herself and her family (whoever it may be), but without any politically poisoned values from either side of the fence, as they both limit their powers and potential. For example, parenting isn't for everyone, just like majoring in gender studies won't get you a decent job.

Too many women mastered the art of getting away with shit by blaming people, things or situations for their own fuck ups. It's a shame.

My parents + brother are anything but ideal, but that was never an "excuse" for me to be a shitty person. I may be an exception to the rule, but it clearly shows that no matter what, an adult woman has the freedom of choice. However, with freedom comes responsibility, and I think that's the real problem here. Especially when shit goes downhill, women (and many men too) tend to blame others for their own fuck-ups.

Not sure if my relationship counts because I'm not straight. I technically would be considered "post-wall" at the age of almost 40, yet I'm still taking good care of myself and people guess my age around 30 - 33. I had two previous relationships that (obviously) failed, of which my first one was a civil union (almost like marriage). The reason why women didn't shave back in the stone age is because razors weren't invented yet. Personal hygiene wasn't popular back then either, but no one would ask why people use soap nowadays?

The idea of gay marriage is being forcefed and disguised as the only true way for a relationship between people of the same sex. Many people fall for that trap, yet they don't realise how they are being exploited by feminists (or leftists for that matter) only so they can push their political agenda and de-stablise society, at the expense of the whole gay/bi community.

I'm not straight, which is why I'm more a quiet reader on here. There are a few things I got from this sub nonetheless. First and foremost, I can spot certain traits in women to watch out for and prevent making a bad choice, whether when it comes to friendships or a long-term partner. No matter how much feminists try to push their "all men are like that" narrative on one side, and TRP with their "all women are like that" on the other, what it all boils down to that adults have agency, thus they make good or wrong choices in their lives and must take responsibility/live with the consequences. No one is a victim of their physiology/culture or anything else people try to use as excuses for their and others' failures.

Thanks again for your insights. I actually have read the sidebar before, but since I found a few similarities in TiH to RPW, I wanted to examine the topic and compare the two. I feel bad for anyone who gets harmed, but as far as abusive relationships go, it always takes two to tango. After all, she made a choice to stay with one guy instead of another. I often hear those women being scared to leave, but on the other hand there are ways and places that can help if someone can't handle it. Yet, many women deny any kind of help. I think it depends on the interests and intentions. For example, many woman say the want to have children because they want someone to love them unconditionally. That means they rather care how they are loved, not always how much love they'd give in return. Other people want children because they want to see someone grow up, teach them so they can become a decent human being. Except that I don't think that all men want to rape women, and feminism has been poisoning society with that snowflake narrative for decades. What many miss is that women are able to decide if they shit-test, follow some dual sexual strategy etc. It's always way too easy to say "it's just the way things are" than actually question and improve one's behaviour. This is why I have a problem with AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/15 08:02 PM

Looking at it from a distance, one might think that "AWALT" is apparently the equivalent to feminist "All men are (potential) rapists". Both sides of the fence here take an extreme stance and both deny people agency and responsibility for their own actions. Isn't that what feminism has been trying to do for decades with their "victim cards"? We surely wouldn't want that to repeat again. The whole "downtime before real life" basically translates "take responsibility for life sometime later" as an excuse to deliberately make mistakes and get away with them. That doesn't mean that people don't make mistakes at all, but you can learn from it and prevent the same failure in the future. There are so many misconception on this. People thought that life must have been hell for these women, but given the fact that men created lots of machine and gadgets to make their housework easier, it was quite of a luxury to be able to be home and not having to go to work. Women, just like men have agency and are responsible for their actions and choices. In order to make a relationship works, it requires trust, honesty, loyalty and mature consenting adults who can agree upon anything they are ok with. I'm seeing the same pattern of "blaming the SO" in the LGBT community as well, besides that they blame men for everything else. :P It's such a shame that women have embraced to victim label as an excuse for not taking responsibility for their actions and so many men are falling for this BS. From what I've learned so far, I agree with it, but I'm also agreeing with MGTOW (as a philosophy). My premise is however not to lean too much to one thing or another, but look at things from different angles and understand where they're coming from, yet also question and reflect them. This way of thinking has saved me from being brainwashed by feminism.

This is exactly what makes me laugh when feminists in the west talk about "patriarchy". They have no clue what they're talking about. As you mention places having the "Sharia law", isn't if funny how feminists keep quiet about it? Imagine how loud they're gonna cry when they get lumped into such society, where they even have to ask a man for permission to leave the house.

Well, I see how women act towards men, I see patterns (that deeply bother me). Let me get this straight (no pun intended), I get along with men better than with straight women, and it's painful to watch friends of mine being treated like shit by their gf's. I also experienced some of the patterns in lesbian women, as they kind of rhyme themselves. For example, the women from my past relationships defined "love" by what they got from me, not what they'd give unconditionally, like I have. For the …

No, I don't believe lesbians are inferior/superior to anybody. If you're confused about the "distance" part, what I mean by that is that I'm trying to look at things without being emotionally drawn into it, because that would fog my view. And the things I see aren't to my liking.

Pink = because it stands for gay, I'm gay so... :) Also, it is a bit of a less blue-ish, red-ish, like a bit from a distance. Makes sense?

There's a difference between how some individual might act in their situation, yet a tendency in the population as a whole is hard to ignore. Men and women are different, that's a fact and even feminazis won't change that. The only thing people can do is to be aware of the differences and try to develop ways to communicate and come to an understanding. That's a responsibility each person has.

I don't get why this is even up for discussion. At the end of the day, each man/woman has to make choices and live with the consequences, good or bad. As much as I like my freedom and don't have any plans to get married myself, that doesn't mean that everyone should do as I do. The reasons why marriages and LTR's fail are quite complex. Generally speaking, it's wrong/unrealistic expectations people have of each other, combined with lack of proper communication, and lots of other individual issue…

There's definitely truth in this and it isn't only about relationships. It extends to workplaces as well. Most women-led companies are disasters: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1168182/Catfights-handbags-tears-toilets-When-producer-launched-women-TV-company-thought-shed-kissed-goodbye-conflict-.html The reason is that most women simply aren't true alpha, no matter how hard they try. Their so called "dominance" is more a compensation of her own insecurities and lack of authority and in…

Most decent men wouldn't react badly to this, I don't think your bf would either, unless he's a jerk. If so, he doesn't deserve you to begin with.

Any woman that claims she's doing it for herself ("and not for men") is a liar. Plain and simple. Let's face it, compliments are flattering for everyone and there's nothing wrong with it. So yeah, making yourself look nice and get a few kind words feels good, regardless of feminazis trying to deny it. There's another aspect to this. Straight women also tend to compete with their looks against other women, in whatever way they assume men would find them attractive. Kind of like: "Look at me, bitc…

You hit the nail here. I for example can relate to the philosophy itself, i. e. being independent, doing your own thing regardless of what society thinks or expects from you. It takes a lot of strength to go against the grain though, given the brainwashing men were subjected to. As for the straight ladies who post or lurk on this subreddit, I can only assume that many of them might want to play along so they'll get more "likeable". Most straight women I interacted with can't handle rejection too…

I would say it all depends on the values each woman (or man) has. All of this is a result of upbringing and self-reflection. Many people make the choice for an "easy ride", and you can see both men and women doing it their own way. Basically, women hope to find a rich guy who will buy her what she wants, he'll get pussy in exchange. Children may or may not be a part of their lives. If both agree to it, that's their thing and this has been a very popular arrangement for centuries. But lets not ki…

I don't hate makeup or fashion, I actually like to dress up and look nicely when I go out. I am quite picky when it comes to clothes and I hate too much makeup. I am always making sure I get decent/good quality products rather than brand names. At home however, I'm running around in comfy clothes and no makeup.

Thing is, many of those points (except the eating/hunting part) are true for the most part. For the most, because there are some who choose to be different, since humans have the cognitive abilities to make decisions about their lives. The only danger is if a movement, an institution or other media is imposing certain choices as the only truths. That sucks for every single movement that will do downhill sooner or later.

Looks like group psychology is at play here, apparently every movement gets there sooner or later, sadly.

If I may throw in my 2ct's on this topic... If you dig deeper on the reasons why people leave their countries you often find the notion that many want to run away from things they are afraid to face. They think if they leave, all problems will magically disappear, and as soon as everyday life kicks in, they get confronted with the not so nice stuff. That's when most pack their bags and move yet again. Those type of people don't give two shits about the culture they live in, nor its people. But o…

Men and women are different, regardless of their upbringing, orientation or what have you. The problem with the gender debate is that many of the movements related to it pursue their own agenda/political interests. You have the same pattern repeating in all kinds of minority groups, whether it's people with disabilities, the LGBT community and feminism of course. One of the key factors is to take away agency from the individual and try to push a "one-size-fits-all" kind of thing. Anything or any…

I'm wondering what would have happened, if some lesbian woman would have given her the exact same compliment. Would she still scream "sexism"? Of course not, it's only sexist when men do it, right? :P
