2	Getting girls in Korea I had a Korean girlfriend in Korea. Eventually broke up because I wanted to go back to the U.S. for a bit. She seemed to like the fact that I was a teacher, and didn't like Korean society. You would never find that in Japan, there is no "status" to being a foreigner or teacher, only a slight "exotic" or "flavor" factor. I actually found the girls more open in Korea. 3	Certainty and Becoming Alpha OK, it's the whole "work on yourself first" idea. But I like the idea of kind of "being resolute". It's good to have an "overriding narrative" in your life which you can tell people about and gives people a sense of direction.
