There’s no point tbh, I don’t think people on reddit take kindly to differing opinions, if I felt like I could genuinely get my point across without chaos ensuing maybe I’d try to have a discussion but I don’t think it’s worth arguing with people set in their ways online

I’ve legit had grown women start running from me when I’m out at night like fuck how scared are you of a short 17 year old blonde ass boy in a ck sweater and jeans. I’m gonna start crossing the street from them just so so don’t have to watch them embarrass themself with their paranoia

I agree somewhat but it’s still physical sexual assault if it’s not consensual so I’m going to group it in there. I don’t really think we should change the definition based on the gender of the victim because it’s still shitty no matter who it happens to

Anecdotal experience and nothing more. I’m not going to stand up and say I know everything about rape because I don’t, but I totally agree with what you said

Yeah I read the post, but I haven’t vetted all the sources and who researched them. Assuming they are all great studies and completely true, what we really need to be doing is saying “guys look at how we treat women who are raped, we need to treat guys who were raped with just as much compassion and care” And not “rape culture is a myth guys”

Rape is a disease and we need to treat it like we do covid, by protecting the most vulnerable to it and finding a way to stop it at the source before they are hurt

I’m not a smart person and my conflicting point is now void

Edit: rewriting my comment to get my point across not concisely. Actually I’m not because I’m not a sociologist or psychologist I’m not going to try and extrapolate anecdotal evidence to prove my point. All I’m going to say is the approach we give female rape victims should be equally shared with men. Rape sucks everyone don’t do it

Yeah I made a post about that sub because I had never seen actual misandry before and was terrified

People mostly think this because of those weird thirsty indian guys that send girls creepy messages and comment on their posts with sexually aggressive stuff.

I kinda disagree here, but it’s because after looking at the stats and some personal experiences of having to report sexual harassment of women at my work and how casually that stuff happens. I agree that it’s stupid to want us to cross the street, but at least it’s something we can do just out of respect for the poor women who have to go through horrible things. Its not all men, not all situations mean we have to stay away, but until we come to an actual solution for this very big problem I’ll …

Just a PSA, if you get roofied, first thing you do is run to a police station to file a report, hopefully they will test your blood and urine so this kind of bullshit doesn’t happen. Don’t act tough like a “real man” this shit is all too common. I did what I just said and it saved me

Mmm I guess they were being sexist in the most progressive way. Excluding someone who was born physically female but identified as male. I guess they at least respected their choice to be known as male
