Boris Johnson on The Shirt: "It was like a scene from Mao’s cultural revolution when weeping intellectuals were forced to confess their crimes against the people."If you are correct in your belief of how the majority of women would react I think the majority of men would not overact if roles were reversed. If a female scientist wore a shirt with Chip n Dale barely clothed stripper like men on it, I think most men might be amused by the shirt, but I don't think the majority of men would feel like she owed men in general an apology for wearing the shirt. Or saying that because the shirt objectified the male body that less men might pursue STEM careers becau… | /r/MensRights | 21/11/14 05:27 PM
Boris Johnson on The Shirt: "It was like a scene from Mao’s cultural revolution when weeping intellectuals were forced to confess their crimes against the people."I find the inch of cleavage rule interesting because it cultural and abstract. In Asia many professional women wear shorter skirts than in North America or Europe but show any cleavage is seen as absolutely inapproprate. I know an employer that was fine with women wearing short skirts or sleeveless dresses but men had to wear pants and long sleeve shirts. The problem was it was a sweltering hot summer and no AC. I think I understand your thinking on this issue. Your are focusing on the part of t… | /r/MensRights | 20/11/14 02:59 PM

Boris Johnson on The Shirt: "It was like a scene from Mao’s cultural revolution when weeping intellectuals were forced to confess their crimes against the people."In my mind, his intentions are a big part of this story. People were demanding a public apology and some were calling for him to be fired. He was the target of severe online bullying. I think you are reading so many layers into what this shirt represents. You are entitled to have your nuanced historical perception of what this shirt says about the man wearing (and society, or whatever?) it. I think people get angry over the littlest things these days, and it's getting worse. To my knowledge Mr. … | /r/MensRights | 20/11/14 04:07 AM
Boris Johnson on The Shirt: "It was like a scene from Mao’s cultural revolution when weeping intellectuals were forced to confess their crimes against the people."What I read was that the shirt was gift given to him by a female friend who made the shirt. He choose to wear the shirt to support his friend who created it. I am almost certain his intention in wearing the shirt was not meant to be negative or disrespectful. How did he harass people by wearing that shirt? No really, I am confused by this statement. I don't get how wearing that shirt constitutes harassment? | /r/MensRights | 18/11/14 02:52 AM
Boris Johnson on The Shirt: "It was like a scene from Mao’s cultural revolution when weeping intellectuals were forced to confess their crimes against the people."What was unprofessional about the shirt? What dress code should be mandated for scientists? What offends one person might not offend another. Should we cater to anyone who could to offence to anything. Should everyone be forced to wear loose fitting grey shirts like Zuckerburg? I have known people to wear things I felt were inappropriate to work, but you know what? It's none of my business what they wear. If the employer doesn't have a problem with out, who am I to tell them to take it off!? Eve… | /r/MensRights | 18/11/14 02:05 AM
Dr Matt Taylor's shirt made me cry, too - with rage at his abusers - TelegraphWhere can I buy that shirt? It was a female designer ironically. I would buy that shirt and wear it. | /r/MensRights | 18/11/14 01:38 AM
