Kierkegaard probably had extreme sexual anxiety, and most of his life he was instead seeking spiritual fulfillment (he was a devout Christian) and rid himself of carnal desires. What really fucked him up was probably his father, a strickt and guilt-ridden pietistic lutheran who believed that God was going to kill his children because he fucked his housemaid. And only two of seven children did see adulthood, so you can guess that screwed a lot up in Søren Kierkegaards head.

Because the human race is going to populate anyway, so if you think you have something to offer to the gene pool, you should contribute. It is also a major biological drive, so it will give you a satisfaction you can't get otherwise. The problem with humanity nowadays is that the most resourceful do not populate as much as the rest. This is politically incorrect to say out loud, but from a evolutionary standpoint, the human race may never again be as intelligent as it is today. Our generation is…

Cool. Just finished "Farewell to Arms" by Hemingway myself. He is stoic and macho as fuck, but his self-analyzing is like zero, at least the way he presents it to the reader. The protagonist in the book (basically Hemingway himself) totally owns it with women, is really well liked by his comrades and deals with the traumas of war like a stoic sage. However, he fucking joined a war and a army he has NO relation to (helping Italians fighting Austrians over some mountains. What the suicidal fuck), …

Not necessarily, it is nothing automatic in this as u/WhiteMarauder suggest. However, the parents lifestyle choices definitely affect the child trough nurture. But, as u/eclipsedbythemoon points out, some epigenetics may be transgenerational, but we don't have much data so far. We'll se what the scientist figure out.

I am glad to hear that, and I hope it helps. Good luck to all you.

But still he did punch his sister. The human mind is not a computer where you put in information and get the same result every time. TRP is about accepting how the world is, in all it's fucked up-ness, not how YOU want it to be. People misunderstand everything in very weird ways even if you find it retarded. AND: OP is the sister.

Totally disagree. I learn most by field reports and real life stories. Theories are not worth shit if you don't get to see how they turn out in real life. Here we have an example of how Stan totally misunderstood TRP philosophy, and some of the reasons why (breakup, family dynamics, young age). However, I suspect many other young, frustrated males finding this sub can misinterpret things in the same matter. Therefore we need testimonies like this, and we need wisdom of the older dudes here on TR…

Glad that the talk went so constructive, Altala. Hope things will be better for all of you. However, I would also recommend therapy. It seems that you and Stan both have had to take a lot of responsibility in the house and act as adults when your mother didn't and your father was absent. While I don't approve it at all, I understand Stan's frustration and anger, and that you have had to act as a mother in the family may explain (but not excuse) his antagonistic feelings right now. But yes, I thi…

Don't you think that your father already know? Since you are experiencing his family is not accepting you as their own blood. I think it is a pro et contra dilemma. What will you gain and how much will it fuck your life you (depending on the answer). If you want the truth, I think you just should ask your mother or father directly. They know.

The birth certificate will by default say that the mothers husband is the father. He can only be sure by a DNA test.

No. Moral statements can be descriptive, but descriptive statements is not necessarily moral. But it could be that I have misunderstood the meaning of descriptive in the English language (I'm not a native speaker). However - the use of "beta" in this sub is based on the subgroup norms, some behaviors is considered "alpha", and some "beta". Then these labels are thrown out more than a fundamentalist Christian label people holy or unholy. Classic moral statements.

Perhaps so, but I think morality applies more to an immovable set of right and wrong ideals rather than changeable goals. That totally depends on the set of ethics a person have. The morality you describe sound religiously motivated, at least deontological. Others reason from principles of consequentialism, contractarianism or utilitarianism. My goals will often clash with other duties, or the goals and duties of others, and we must make moral choices. A big imperative for me is if innocent peop…

Who said moral statements are not descriptive? Morals is not the same as religious judgements.

Most moral philosophers use the beneficial angle when they discuss moral. Morals can be viewed as behaviour meant to benefit (a healthy) society. It seems to me that that you make your moral choices from what is beneficial to you, and just you, not society. That is fair enough, and a position I respect. However, this is not AMORAL, as you claim. Amorality is ignorance. If you know what you do is not beneficial to society, even on the contrary, then it is immoral. Even Machiavelli, the cynical pr…

All of life is acting. Yes, movies are not the real world, but if you are reasonably observant and have some mentalizing abilities you still can learn hell of a lot from watching a film.

Please. Of course there is. "That is beta behavior", a frase common on this sub in different versions, is nothing short of a moral statement.

The whole concept of "beneficial" involves morals to discuss. Just try to answer the question "is surfing porn beneficial"? Whatever your answer, you involve some form of moral. The whole concept of redpill is that some behaviors and thought patters are beneficial and some are self-defeating. And if we can discuss what is positive/beneficial for a man, it must be allowed to ask the question "is fucking a married woman beneficial?"

It is all about context. In most clubs Anzari will be the funniest guy in the room and get a lot of attention, and Ryan Reynolds is not there. So why should he compare himself with Van Wilder?

This. Context is everything. You might be top dawg as a CEO in a Fortune 500, but if you are put in jail for tax fraud you are probably no longer the most alpha.
