Even when in a relationship that's true. Sometimes my girlfriend comes over because we want to strengthen our connection, etc. but there are times when we both know she came over so we could fuck the hell out of each other and get off. I find it strange that we have a biological urge to simply fuck and get off and that somehow that is animal and not acceptable in relation to this newer notion of meaning and sacredness in sex.

I had the same thing happen to me from acid. Never touched it again but still have some traces of problems from over 20 years ago. My bad trip wired some funny shit in my young brain and it's been a struggle my whole life. I'm pretty much over it now but it lurks back there somewhere, I know it does. I think drugs are OK in most cases but you and I abused them so I would say fuck drug abuse.

I agree and this just makes me even more angry that when people go to find help they are often told right out of the gate that they need to start taking chemicals that alter brain chemistry. I think most people just need to start doing what it is they are here to do. Live. Get to know who you are and how you work. Why should that be easy or artificial. It takes work but people tend to be lazy as far as I can tell.

Especially for women. Women tend to age more poorly than men do That's your own rule of thumb dude. Doesn't mean it's true at all. Society says it's true? I don't take much stock in what the mainstream of our (USA) society says about beauty. I agree with everything you say other than the part I quoted because it's not a given and you didn't even say you see it a some general rule of thumb. That's why I said something. I don't have to buy that horseshit and neither does anyone else. I tend to agr…

It's OK to have high standards but you have to accept that you may never be fulfilled. Say I want a Lamborghini; I don't at all but lets just say that's what I dream of. I can spend my whole life trying to save for it and never get one. If I'm cool with that then all is well. I would rather experience the joy of driving (not to mention the practical and life enabling things) so I am willing to take a less expensive car especially since I know I'm going to have more than one car over the course o…

I'm not Buddhist or religious but I do believe the Buddhist notion that misplaced or misguided expectations are one of the biggest causes of suffering in our lives. It's OK to have really high standards as long as your expectations are healthy. This rampant sense of entitlement that we see today could easily be called unreasonable expectation. People expect to have cable TV in their homes. If they don't we say they are being abused by the system because we expect everybody to have that and when …

I think there are very few people who want to be with people they aren't physically attracted to. No matter how technologically advanced we think we ware, nature still plays a major part.

Remember that looks are only there for a little while. Especially for women. Tell that to the Japanese or Asians in general. I've been sparked intensely by women over there who were probably into their 60's. It's hard to tell sometimes but I'm 44 so it seems like older ages are easier to detect these days.

I said the same thing not long ago on a different sub more or less and got called a bully and a whole lot of other names. Got some nerd rage going that day. Basically what I was saying is do whatever you want but don't be too surprised when women are turned off by it. One guy even threatened to kick my ass. No, I'm sure she's going to love all our vintage action figures still in the case and want to suck your cock for it. /s

For me it was a couple of things. People are their own favorite subject so if you ask questions they will do all the talking. Also, small talk is not the big deal awkward people make it out to be. You have to start somewhere which is where small talk comes in. Boy this weather sure is X. Are you from here? No. Tell me about the weather where you come from. And there you go. Just try to shut them up about where they come from. The funny thing is that they can talk until they are out of breath and…

The ability to laugh at myself has endeared me to certain people. I don't do it constantly but every once in a while when the timing is perfect and I just can't pass it up I go for it and get lots of laughs. I've even laughed at myself while playing guitar before and had people say it was cool that I could laugh at my mistakes and just keep going. As long as you aren't constantly shitting on yourself I think it's fine.

I noped out of a few situations where the girl was obviously trying to get me to fuck her. Look if you're drunk and half passed out I'm not going to do anything. So like you I passed on a few opportunities. Then when it happened it was fucking awesome. I felt like I was in the clouds for a day or two and after that I was hornier than shit. I started fucking day and night. The interesting thing is that I never masturbated before I had sex the first time (age 16) but afterward, holy Jesus. None of…

I think this opinion could come from the guys who dote over them. I've known so many guys who see a blond and automatically think she's hot. You didn't really even see her or talk to her. You just noticed from behind that she has blonde hair and now you think she's drop dead gorgeous? Having known so many guys like this I wouldn't be surprised if blondes have become accustomed to being treated as if they are super hot all the time. Obviously that's just a dumb theory but I am not overstating my …

Maybe just be glad you aren't one of those American citizens that will pay a combined $19 billion for one stinking day. Go spend some money on yourself or go out and see who else is single and looking to end the day with someone else. A hooker would be much cheaper, even if you got thrown in jail for the night. What a stupid holiday.

That's only partly true. Simple repeated exposure alone won't do it in many cases. You also have to analyze the self-talk you are doing and the cognitive distortions you are allowing.

People 18 to 22 are often dumb as fuck. If they don't realize that everyone ages and that it's just part of life then I wouldn't even bother with them to begin with.

I was thinking the same thing. I am treated as a novelty in Japan. I have absolutely no problem with that. Women approach me and tell my I'm sexy and want to take me out? Fuck yeah!! I'm willing to settle any questions they have about what I'm like down there. I suppose it could get old if I lived there but really it's a nice change to have women making a big deal about me without much effort. It just doesn't seem degrading although that could simply be because it's a novelty to me at this point…

Read non-fiction instead of fiction I don't completely agree. Being able to analyze and discuss fiction, especially classics, is a good was to get into conversations and show that you are well read. Jerking off is also a way to get rid of blue balls so you can concentrate on more important things.

Yep, yep, yep, yep.....Never get drunk. Nope. I've heard similar things from Anton LeVey when I was a kid. Basically the idea is that if people think you are on the same page as them (have the same beliefs) that when you then suggest something outside their nature or desire they will probably go along with it. An example would be in dealing with a pessimist. You go along with their pessimism until you gain their trust and then you say something optimistic. They are more apt to choose optimism in…

I did that when I was 32. She knew I wasn't having any part of kids but figured I'd change my mind. Been divorced about 5 years now. I suppose I could settle down again at some point but I really have to wonder what the point is and if it's worth the hassle.

Yeah I didn't really understand this whole idea of girls are amazing at eye contact. I've never noticed this most of the time. I think they are on their phones so much so they don't have to. So I'm supposed to accept that I am only alpha if I make and maintain eye contact but women are amazing at this so women are all amazing alphas. I'm not buying that. I agree with a lot of what was said but in most of the world and at most ages women are not looking around for you to make eye contact with and…

Yeah, like she is using you only for spiritual stimulation or something. I wouldn't even comment. Why is it that once we have sex we are immediately assumed to have met our ultimate goal? Once I spent a lot of money to fly a woman out to my place for a couple of weeks. Our first couple nights of intercourse I concentrated entirely on her pleasure because I just felt like it. I took her around town to show her the sites, I cooked for her, I did what I could to make her comfortable (not on a pedes…

Like I've said, I've live until 42 and any dentist I've ever had has not said anything about over brushing. What they all have said is how nice my teeth look. It's possible that my teeth are genetically sturdy but if my dentists don't complain why would I believe some stranger on reddit telling me I'm fucking up my teeth?

I have fairly oily skin to begin with so it isn't a problem for me. My hands may get a little dry in the middle of winter but even so that hot shower is worth every damned flake.

I'm 42 already and my doctor comes unglued when he sees how healthy my teeth and gums are. I've never had a cavity. No offense but I wish people would stop claiming they know something about this when apparently they don't.

When did I say I was offended or that anyone should give a shit? By the way my dentist never fails to comment on how healthy my teeth are. You may have your preconceptions about what is and is not proper but I assure you that you probably don't know. You have a right to some random opinion but maybe nobody gives a shit.

Shaving, zoning out. I don't really know. I know my teeth take at least 10 minutes. Maybe I floss. Maybe I trim my eyebrows or polish my shoes. But it takes me at least an hour on an average day.

Any guy who spends more time in a bathroom than a woman is so unattractive. This is the only thing I struggle with. It really does take me over an hour to get ready but it's not because I am too fussy or concerned. Brushing my teeth takes at least 10 minutes all on its own. A long hot shower is what separates me from the animals. I can see it being annoying if I were fussy over every detail but some of us take a long time honestly. I like to think that she understand the difference but that was …

I was wondering the same thing. Are they really getting hit on that much or do they just think they are. If I ask them how they are doing, do they assume I'm hitting on them. If a guy at a construction site whistles at them, are they being hit on. I have no idea what goes on in NYC but in my world, I don't think women are getting hit on 5 times a day. Diva types is what I am thinking too.

That's legitimate even if it is on the irrational side. I guess what I am getting at is that people get inspired by watching someone play or listening to a great song when they're drunk and they think 'ah, I'm going to start doing that shit. You can teach me right?' Well, sure I can but you have to run with whatever you learn and begin to teach yourself just like I did. Most people don't stick it out. People get discouraged but it comes down to being willing to suck and then keep at it no matter…

Yeah, but then you might as well just play it for them. They all say they want to learn but as soon as it comes time for the pain in the fingers or the clipping of the fingernails they are done. Not all of them mind you, but most of them. And this tends to be the case with men as well. It's just easier to play Blackbird for them. Also, if you're just looking for one night of sex the guitar is great for that but over the long haul it doesn't add up to shit. Source: guitar player.

The risk you run is not being trusted. If you talk behind another person's back how do I know that you don't do the same shit to me when I'm not around. I struggle with that one myself at times because sometimes I just need to vent about people that constantly treat me and others like shit.

Ever heard of alcoholism, i.e. people that have one and then can't stop until they are fucked. That is really shit advice to tell someone to use an addictive substance to be able to socially interact.
/r/seduction14/05/13 07:24 PM

That's brilliant! I had never thought of that even though I was once a long distance runner and know full well that running is nature's laxative. You could compound the effect by getting plenty of carminatives in your pre-date meal like parsley, cilantro, etc.

I've always had my suspicion that this is why women seem to constantly be on their phones. It's a way of avoidance.

So do you extend that to guys with wives too. I mean it's not like they own them either. Either way you are still fucking with someone's life.

Yeah because the Germans, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Japanese never tried to take over the fucking earth. Way to generalize. If you had generalized about any group other than Americans you would have been downvoted severely. Edit: And remember that Americans give more money to charity than any other country.

When I was a much younger man I remember being at a party telling an Australian guy that I hated America because we had no culture. The look he gave me was priceless. He said, "You have an incredibly strong culture," and proceeded to give examples. At the time I thought he was full of shit and continued on hating America but I've since grown to know better. There are still things I don't like about Americans but I do realize how interesting and influential out culture is.

This is such a great idea. We in America tend to buy really big houses and then proceed to stuff them full of shit that we don't need. Some day you die and some poor offspring has to go through all of it. Adherence to this principle is the reason that when I move, I don't need anybody to help (except for maybe the couch, etc.) and I can generally move myself in my 4 door midsize car.

I learned that, from am anxiety perspective, it always helps to be much more interested in the other person than yourself. This applies to conversations with both men and women. If you can genuinely be more interested in what they are saying than what you are thinking the nervousness goes away and usually people walk away thinking you are a great person or a new friend. Yes you need to have good things to say in response but active listening is a huge step in the right direction.
