Yeah, I feared that. I guess I will see myself out. Thanks for the explanation.

Cheating Because PP made the claim that the women in this post is at cheating because she left her husband for her lover. While I personally do not see it as cheating, technically it could be seen as such. As for my point, the argument, if this is cheating, technically cheating, or no cheating at all does not matter in the slightest. Hence I reused PPs words in my reply in the hopes he gets the argument instead of engaging in a discussion if this is cheating or not.

Mate, I am not simping. I am holding her to the same standards I am holding a man to. You know, exactly the thing we are claiming in this sub to be doing? Would you argue that a man you runs away from his family is legaly at fault if the police then arrests his wife because someone else claimed he was murdered by her? No, you would not. Because that would be redicilous. You on the other hand are behaving just like the feminists you are usually accusing of men hating. There is no need to hate wom…

Exactly. Now, why does everyone on this sub disagree and vote that down?

If this was the US, I would mostly agree with you but this story happened in bloody india. First, her actions did not cause that, the incompetence of the police did cause that. Second, I have male friends who ran from aranged marriages in india and I cannot blame them for that. Did they technically cheat on their partners? Yes, but they also never wanted to be with their "partners" to begin with. But it is not like they had many alternatives because there family or the in-laws family would harm …

How do you know that the chose to stay quiet abot it? From that I have seen she did not hide from the police nor did even know that her husband was in jail. She moved 1500km. It is not like she was keeping taps on her ex to see him suffer in jail. If you want to be angry at soemone, it should be the police who without any evidence put a man into jail.

And what exactly did she do wrong besides leaving her husband?
/r/MensRights08/05/22 03:34 PM

To be honesr, she did nothing wrong either. She did not call the police on him, she just ran away and did not even know her husband was in jail as far as I can tell.

Maybe I am using the wrong translation here. In German it is called "Recht auf körperliche Unversehrtheit" and this is a human right. It is in the American Convention on Human Rights as well as the European Convention on Human Rights. I have no idea why you would think that the right to do with your own body as you see fit (and for example not be part of some medical experiment against your will) was invented by feminists. If I recall correctly, it was a very direct result of the horrors of WW2 …

Not really. For one, you made a lot more statements then just that in your initial post. Reducing it to "I get downvoted for saying men and women should prop each other up" showes how disengenious you are acting. Calling you out is not being anti women. i however agree that I have seen too much schadenfreunde on this sub about Roe vs. Wade then I would have liked. A poster is claiming that we (as in MensRights) are happy about Roe v. > Wade being overturned. What the actual fuck? Where? Who's happy? I guarandamntee you that the percentage of pro-choice posters here is far > higher than the average American public. The sentiment is that we should all have reproductive rights. There are people on this sub who at least show quite a bit of schadenfreude over Roe v. Wade unfortunately so the argument is not comleplty without merit but I would also agree that t…

You are still not getting it. Will women help along males reproductive rights even if they themselves have access to abortions? Probably not but they will definetly oppose it if they do not have access to abortions. As I said, it is unfair but that is what it is.

And a baby born puts you automatically in jail? No, it does not. The issue is the sexist laws in the US, not that a baby is born. Fight the sexist laws, not the baby. Simple as that.
/r/MensRights07/05/22 08:52 AM

But by your own logic, didn't you consent to becoming a parent once you had sex and thus have to pay for said child? Also, your last sentence does not really make sense. I understand it as "If abortion is outlawed then forcing men to pay child support is also right" which does not fit your initial statement that you love the idea of financial abortion.

For one, it can easily be a life sentence. Pregnancy can kill you. About 2% of all women who die between the age 22-40 die due to pregnancy complications (https://www.cdc.gov/women/lcod/2017/all-races-origins/index.htm). If you argue that it is your job to keep someone alive after you crashed into them, how far does that go? Do you have to hand over you liver? Your kidneys? Your heart? Just out of curiosity, as we are in the r/MensRights, do you also argue that only raped men should not be force…

For one, I cannot find the 92% you are quoting, can you add the page number, maybe I missed it. And for two, I have to be honest, I can take this report hardly serious when it was done by one person who even admits she found exactly the correlation she was looking for but also can only see factors that that support exactly that conclusion. One obvious one is even named in the report: by default custody went to women 75% of the time. If we assume men and women are on average equally fit as the pr…

Pro-life has nothing to do with it. The proper analogy would be to be against baby flaps or outlawing mothers from giving up their cildren for adoption without hte consent of the father. Please, do not fall into the trap of conflaiting the two. It will just make our position weaker and in the end both men and women will loose rights. I know it feels unfair but it doesn't help men at all if women loose the right to an abortion. It will just make it even harder for us to have our issues recogniced…

I get why you are angry and why it feels like women arguing for the right to have an abortion seem to be hypocritical if they at the same time jail men for not paying child support but there is a difference. The right to an abortion is due to her right to do with her body as she pleases. For men, we are just not in that situation. Our bodily autonomy is not threatened due to the pregnancy. For us, the issue is that we are forced into fatherhood while mothers who go through with the pregnancy are…

I think the issue is the difference from what I see is morally right (then I would partially agree with you) and what the state should be doing (and then I would disagree with you. Lets make a simple scenario. You run over a red light and crash into another vehicle. Luckily, you are virtually unharmed but the person you hit lost a lot of blood and will die if they do not get a blood transfusion. By chance, you two have the same blood type and the hopsital does not have any blood at hand. Should …

Because these methods are used at different times during the pregnancy for one. They also have different legal and moral implications. Are you allowed to plunge a needle with toxins into a human being to kill it? No, that would be murder but in German law, a fötus isnt a human yet so it is still allowed. I personally would disagree with that and argue that this practise should be outlawed as even a fötus has bodily autonomy thus you cannot inject its body with deadly toxins. Mifepriston on the o…

Again, it has nothing to do with being humane. Humane is not a category which is in any shape or form relevant to this discussion.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 09:29 PM
1

And I might have agreed to have some other human being be connected to my body so I can serve as a host for their failing body yet I would keep my right to always walk away from that situation. Again, it is exactly the same if you are a blood or stem cell donor. Noone can force you to do it even if you registered to be one, agreed to be one, already got medication to do it, you can alway back out. It is your body, your choice. Even if that means the death of an innocent person.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 09:23 PM
1

I am saying there is a difference in killing the baby as for example done in late term abortions here in Germany there you plunge a needle with poisson into the fetus heart before inducing birth vs administering medication like Mifepriston which causes a reaction in the mothers body which results in the death of the fetus due to being not longer being connected to the host. While the end result is the same, these are very different actions.

I am talking more from a general human rights perspective. I live in Germany, so our laws are also differently structured and I am not familiar enough with the american amendment system to comment on it. However, the concept of bodily autonomy exists in Germany and the US as far as i am aware. Noone is forced to donate blood or organs just to keep someone else alive from what I can tell. If we do not force people to do these things which are in comparison rather small nuisances comared to a preg…

Again, this is only a question for some forms of abortions. If you look at medically induced ones which are one of the most common kinds, she is only acting on her own body. That her body then rejects the fötus due to the medication does not diminish her right to do that. Now, if we are talking about suction based abortions, then I can see why you would feel that way.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 08:20 PM

I think you are missing an important destinction here. The mother should not have a right to have the baby killed, she has a right for the baby to not remain in her body however. While the former is often a result of the latter, that does not give you a right to kill a baby. That is why a male does not get a say in the matter. His bodily autonomy is not involved from the get go. Now, if we are discussing the asymetrie there the state gives women who birth a baby the ability to then dodge their f…

No, I do not. I however agree with PP that a man should be able to chose if the accepts fatherhood or not with all the rights and obligations it has. As a random human who randomly shares your DNA does not infringe on any of your rights, I do not see an issue with a baby being born from rape for the men besides that he is forced into fatherhood.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 04:21 PM

Oh, that is also something that is done. In this case however, the judge did not do that as the victim and the perpetrate reconciled before the judgement was cast. Thus she went with the minimal sentence.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 04:15 PM
1

The judge could chose between 6 months and 2 years if I recall correctly. She went with the minimal sentence because the man has forgiven the woman and so she felt that even the minimal sentence was plenty.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 03:02 PM

I would not call it a problem, it is just that the German system is much more focused on bringing people back into society and keep them as valuable members of said society instead of punishing them.

In German law, she is not collecting child support. The child is collecting child support. That is why her actions do not matter.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 02:57 PM

Nah, the police and attorney general labeled it as rape, the judge however went with sexual assault and with the minimum sentence at that. Still a good step in the right direction. From what I ahve read, that court case actually made massive waves in the international press. Even friends from Singapur wrote to me and asked about it.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 02:28 PM

It is the minimum sentence for sexual assault (not sure if this translates correctly, you can find the German legal text here https://dejure.org/gesetze/StGB/177.html "§ 177 Abs. 1 StGB Sexueller Übergriff; sexuelle Nötigung; Vergewaltigung") Anyway, I am just happy that we now have a court case for the future to show this is not okay behaviour. In that case, I think they will lose epicly. The ladies who had a black baby after buying semen from a sperm bank which alledeldy came from a white University professor also lost their case as the court did not see any damages being done with a baby being born with the "wrong" skin color. Even with the misandy at large, I cannot imagine them not getting laughted out of the court room.

Child support is not only for single mothers though. Most people i know who had to pay child support were divorces usually with 2-3 children involved. And I would argue that a marriage not working out after maybe 15 years is not really "enabling woman who make bad financial decissions". But I agree, we should have at least financial abortion options (i.e. you have to say you want the child after birth or you are neither entitled to raise the child nor required to pay for the child.

At least here in Germany child support is owned to the child, not the parent they stay at. Thus it does not matter if the child was conceived due to rape or not. The issue is not the child support here (while I would still argue we need social sbortion for both males and females) but that a child is allowed to stay with a rapist, male or female.

Mostly that is true now, there are still laws which are whack in both directions which clearly have gender biases. Abortion for woman for example. At least in the US circumcision rates for boys are going down.
/r/MensRights25/08/21 12:24 AM

Maybe but they often also pull the "Men should die to help woman escape, why are men such cowards for not wanting to get murdered?!?!?" Just read some comments in r/worldnews. It is ridiculous. You talk about medically procedures but 99% of all female circumcision is forced. Same is true yet again for MGM. Do the boys get asked? No, it is forced on them. And like I said before in a country like Africa they need circumcisions to prevent thousands of bacterial infections a year. Ah, and because it is needed in Africa we should allow it in the US? A dick still functions well after a circumcision. Your vagina will also still function after a FGM Typ 1a. Heck, it might even enhance your sex…
/r/MensRights24/08/21 12:29 PM
5

Oh they absolutey do for involuntary performed procedures, but this has nothing to do with anything that is discussed here. The question is not "Is FGM bad" or "Is the WHO opposing FGM", the question is "If male circumcision is allowed for religious or cultural reasons, why is the exact same medical procedure for females, FGM Typ 1a, outlawed and opposed?" And the answer is sexism. You try to claim this is not due to sexism but a difference in severity or similar bullshit. This is incorrect.
/r/MensRights24/08/21 11:57 AM
4

Oh, that was your argument mate, if you do not like, then maybe reevaluate it. I have no issue if there is an actual medical issue to then perform a circumcison. It is total bullshit however to perform such operations on the vague notion that there could be a problem down the road. Just compare circumcision rates in the EU to the one in the US. Actual medical needed circumcision is pretty rare and not on the 50% scale we see in the US.

Do you have a paper for that? I am still looking for a source on the foreskin =20000 nerv endings and penis glanz =4000 nerv endings thing andjsut cannot find the primary source.

Yes in case of medical issues but virtually every circumcision performed on little boys isn't for that reason. And that is wrong.
/r/MensRights24/08/21 08:30 AM

How about you actually read what I wrote and react. Nothing on that page contradicts anything I said. You on the other hand do not seem to be able to grasp that I am compaing a very specific procedure against another very specific prodecure insead of comparing all FGM to all MGM. Stop putting your ignorance on display, that is the very least you can do.

Again, this is a practise that is common in the US and around the world, not for medical reasons but for asthetic reasons. And a ton of women do it out of their own free will. Do they all not know their clitoris? The HUGE majority of female genital mutilation is done for religious and cultural reasons, not medical. Same is true for MGM. There is no medical reason to circumcise boys, a form of MGM, in the US. Yet about half of the boys are getting circumicsed. That is not medical, that is religio…

You are actually that ignorant, holly cow. Again, clitorial hood != clitoris. The article you posted speaks about a clitoridectomy, a Typ Ib FGM, I talk about a clitoridotomy, a Typ Ia FGM. Clitoridotomies or Clitoral hood reductions are performed by plastic surgens regullarly, even in the US, mostly for asthetic reasons. Yeap, here we go again. Female circumcision, or better called female genital mutilation FGM, comes in differnt formes and shapes. Thanks to the UN, we have a classification system for both. Noone compares Typ II or III FGM with Typ I MGM. However, a Typ Ia FGM is very much the same as a Typ I MGM. Both procedures literally remove the same organ growing from the same cells of a fetus serving very much the same function. For women, that is the clitorial hood, for men, it is called the forskin. Oh no this again. Repeart after me: Noone compares Typ II or III FGM to Typ I MGM. However, Typ Ia FGM is very much identical to Typ I MGM. One removes the clitorial hood, i.e. the cover over the clitorial glanz, the other the foreskin i.e. the cover over the penis glanz. If you are okay with removing the foreskin, I take it you are also okay if people remove the clitorial hood of their daughters? And obviously, noone would be okay with that. Because you shouldn't freaking cut away parts of your…

There is roughtly speaking about 100 dead babies in the US alone due to circumcison. Now, in contrast to the about 1M circumised babies per year, I agree, that does not seem much. It is still 100 dead babies more than what was necessary. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/240804903\_Lost\_Boys\_An\_Estimate\_of\_US\_Circumcision-Related\_Infant\_Deaths

I would agree with you if they werend't defending it but just scrolling through this thread, you see many do exactly that. I have no issue if a person decides for themselves they want that, but I am not okay with people defending doing it to baby boys because it was also done to them and they don't mind.
/r/MensRights23/08/21 10:50 PM
1

My point exactly but I also cannot find a primary source for or against that claim. As I said, 40k or even 20k would be suprising if it is fuctionally equivalent to the clitorial hood which covers the clitoris with about 8000 nerve endings
/r/MensRights23/08/21 07:31 PM
2

You say that but do you have a source for the claim? Wikipedia quotes the nerv endings of the clitoris at about 8000 but does not give a number for the penis glanz. The only thing I can find is twitter posts, memes, and "10 Things you did not know about the clitoris" sites who say that the penis glanz has roughtly half. Which would be strange as they, evolutionary speaking, are the same organ and in the fetus are coming from the same cells. This is also mentioned here https://www.psychologytoday…
/r/MensRights23/08/21 07:23 PM
1

Do you have a citadation for that claim? I have seen people on quora discusssing it or the 20000 nerv ending claim in the foreskin, however some claim this is incorrect without providing prove for one side or the other. From evolutionary biology I would ahve guessed the foreskin has a similar amount as the clitorial hood which seems to be less than the clitoris glanz itself.

puritans you are absolutely right, I will edit my comment to correct it, thanks!
/r/MensRights23/08/21 06:58 PM

I just wanted to point out the difference in sensitivity I am a bit confused here, I thought the penis glanz and the clitoris glanz had roughtly the same amount of nerv endings albeit the clitoris glanz has a higher density. As long as you cover the whole area of both (and in your pants, you would be doing that I suppose) let to the same sensitivity?
/r/MensRights23/08/21 06:28 PM

Ah okay, sorry, IRL I have to argue with people who mean stuff like that serious :) And on a positive note, less and less Americans circumcise their children.

The percentage of the population has nothing to do with the idea if it is a crime against humanity or not. The holocaust was a crime against humanity yet Jews were less than 1% of the German populous (similar rates applied to other countries). However, I have to argue that circumcison is not a crime against humanity due to the vague definition of the term. The only reasoning I can come up with is that circumcision may be an "(i) other inhumane acts." but I guess people would not agree on that.
/r/MensRights23/08/21 05:52 PM

The allowed part, maybe but the widespread application of the practise in the US was mostly to deter boys from masturbation. BTW, they also tried to introduce FGM for the same reason. [EDIT] See comments below, I had attributed the rise of the practise in the US to puritans which obivously is wrong as puritans lived in the 16th and 17th century while the rise of circumcision was in the mid to end of the 19th century. It definetly changes the way people perceive a crime. We had a similar discussion there feminists argued to move certain sex acts which were already illegal and had the same minimal and maximal sentence than rape to also be regarded as rape instead of "just" sexual assault. But I agree, it is maybe not a battle worth picking, hard to judge. But arguing for gender neutral laws is in my eyes a good thing anyhow.

I don't have to imagine what would have happened if the sexes were reveresed, my ex girlfriend also pulled this crap (calling me crying after a near rape experience with a friend to then deciding to keep meeting up with him because he is so cute and he only did it because he was drunk. Girl, he is an alcoholic, he is nearly always drunk, wtf) General takeaway, humans are stupid, gender isn't really a factor there and the reaction from my friends then I complained about this was "Its her body, he…

We already see this in blended cultures that highlight the positivity of a particular group Yeah but that is somethign completly different then what we are discussing here, no? Your example is much more like a special Woman Spa Day there face masks and nail trimmings or what ever is associated with being enjoyed by females is offered but any male can still go there and get that too. Not entirely sure where you're getting that. I get this from Women's only gyms/yoga/etc. are trying to solve the problem of creepy guys scaring away customers. So the argument is, you have a buisness with different kinds of customers. Customer A is afraid of customer B for reasons which are outside of the law (in that case, you wouldn't need special treatment but call the police). You now have the buisness offer special days there customer B is not allowed in and only services customer A as the …

So don't gender your laws in regards to fetuses in the first place. Issue solved today and tomorrow. Also not a double standard as you as a male have the same rights as a woman, you just are not very likely to be pregnant. Cherry on the top, you can never run into issues there a trans person is pregnant but may legally be male, same goes for intersex people. So there is no need to wait to equalize that. Let me introduce you to Penile subincision . It was most likely the other way around. Humans have been doing FGMs and MGMs longer than most religions around today and even in areas of the world which have never heard anything of judaeism or islam. Why is still a bit of a mystery but the most convincing argument seems to be birth control.
/r/MensRights06/07/21 07:40 PM
3

Both MGM and FGM likely originate as some form of crude birth control in early humans. They both served a purpose expeically as they are freaking risky. That was also why both there reintroduced into the USA in the 1830: stop masturbation and sex drive in both males and females.
/r/MensRights06/07/21 07:35 PM

Because that is not what you said. You said "clitoris is more sensitive than a penis, it has 2 times more nerve parts" which is straight up wrong. It has a higher density due to being smaller but the same number of nerv endings. You only need a finger to stimulate all nerv endings in the clitoris while for the penis you need to have something suroinding it. The total sensation for both people will be the same though (at least if nerv endings are in any way a metric for sensation)

My first sentence is a reponse to your last sentence. For one, noone is broadening the term FGM. It is already that broad. That is why it is important to be precise what one is talking about. Otherwise we will just strawman each other to death. Btw, the same is true for MGM. That can range from a piercing to full castration. I totally agree that a Clitorectomy is worse than a circumcision. Again, there are many types of FGM and MGM. Splitting them by gender does not really make sense. A genital piercing falls under the umbrella of FGM yet many woman have them voluntarily. On the other side, castration falls under the umbrella of MGM. We should really look at the severity of individual proceedurs instead of looking at the gender of the person the proceedure is performed on. Now, we can argue which one is worse all day long, I personally would just outlaw all of them for minors and …

Why do you think it is not fair? Both are procedures forced on non-consenting children. Is it because of severity? Would you be fine if parents wanted to give their 1day old daughter a vagina piercing, a procedure objectivly less severe than a circumcision? As always, I recommend this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=98f3IavuEgQ to clear up why dividing by sex does not make sense for genital mutilation.

I dont think so. Germany had some form of abortion system since 1976. Yet in the 1990 to 2000 we also had to implement safe harbor systems as there was many cases of neonaticides. My guess is mental health problems. There also seem to be woman who want their children back after a week or so, it could be that the support systems around birth are not strong enough and thus the woman become overwhemled?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/05/21 08:22 PM
4

The last point is not really valid either. Why would a woman become pregnant just to murder the child? The answer is "shit happens". There is however a good point here. If a woman murders her child, we see this as a sign to build better systems to support her (or woman in similar situations) while males who do the same are usually condemned.

So to some context. At least here in Germany we implemented a system called Babyklappe (baby drop of point basically) because there were multiple cases of infantizide where a woman hid the pregnancy (sometimes even from herself) and then either straight up murdered the child after birth or let it freeze to death. At least the cases I could find, there was never a father in the scope. I am unsure why abortion was not an option for these woman (most cases I could find are about 20 years old by now…

I can see the point of conscription if it is applied to all people in the state. You get a much more heterogenious army than just having it as a job. The issue is that most concription based armies only take very few people making it very unfair to all involved.

I always found that strange. The death penalty does not seem to detere people who commit heinous crimes. On the other hand, it would be a perfect tool to punish massive crimes against the populous which make a lot of money. Think tax evasion past 10M$. I mean bad that your dad is a deadbeat but if he actually does not have an income, how is he supposed to pay? At least here in Germany, rape is only directly linked to the act itself. So stealthing is illegal as it changes the act itself but lieing about birth control is not. I kind of see the argurment as you can lie about a lot of stuff to get sex (I am a millionare, I am a doctor, I am single....) yet that is also not rape here. I think definying lieing about birth control as rape will not help our situations, rather we should try to push for financial abortion to be legal.
