This is how my parents age gap relationship played out. My mom and dad have a 16 year gap. My dad got sick and didn’t take care of himself, he died when I was 16. My mom was his caregiver but she was also a stay at home mom so bills started piling up. Things got rocky in the end due to my dad being set in his ways and my mom becoming more mature and growing as an adult period throughout the years. I strongly agree with the sacrifice aspect. I saw it play out with my mom in tough ways. I really d…

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-mating-game/202004/gender-differences-in-casual-sex%3famp http://www.lifestyles.com/article/study-looks-into-the-matter-of-women-and-casual-sex/ Both men and women on a large scale definitely don’t fit the criteria of demisexual. If most men and women fit the genuine criteria for demisexuality then the dating world would absolutely not look how it is now on a modern day level. Well at least not in America. I think people have “well…

There would be absolutely nothing to gain from lying on a purple pill debate subreddit

That is all true but unfortunately in the dating world being Demi or has a lot of dead ends. Tbh I didn’t even know this was a thing until a year ago. Helped answer a lot of questions I had in my head. I genuinely feel nothing. And I mean nothing until a very deep connection is formed

I didn’t say that. I said that most women aren’t demisexual and it’s true as with most men. It’s fr just true that most people don’t need to fall in love to have sexual attraction towards someone. Like for instance. When I tell men and women I’m demisexual they’re all “aren’t most people like that?” Then I hit them with the line of questioning “have you ever engaged in casual sex?” “Have you ever felt sexual attraction based on looks?” “Is swiping on dating apps easy for you?” Etc etc. then boom…

That too. It’s very rare to meet a man that is also a virgin who will wait till marriage. Anything less than that I won’t accept

Thank you. If you’re not into hookup culture it’s damn near useless

The last point is exactly why as an American woman I still haven’t had sex. Men here care way too much about body count to the point where I’m avoiding sex. I don’t see a point anymore. If it’s all my “value” why give it up?

This is not true for most women at all. As an actual demisexual woman I do not date based on looks, I cannot see someone on the streets and feel this need to wanna get to know them based on their looks, it takes me more than a couple months to feel sexual attraction. I need love and I mean genuine love. I do not engage in casual sex. The list goes on.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 02:44 AM

Nah it’s a real thing. I cannot have sex until I fall in love and I rarely meet anyone that shares this ideology. Folks idea of getting to know someone is usually a couple months. For Demi people that is not the case

Tbh this is exactly why I take everything I read on here with a very small grain of salt. I read something on here, then think about my real life experiences and say “yeah that makes no sense”

I keep seeing this trope go around and maybe it’s due to the fact that I live in Vegas but I’ve never seen fat women being as picky as thin attractive women as much as y’all claim they do online.

This is very true. Dating for me has been terrible due to the “wow you’re a virgin :)” “wait what do you mean you won’t sleep with me after 1 month :(“ it should be common sense
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 01:28 AM
2

Yeah cause OLD when you’re not into hookup culture is pretty much just saying “hello I’ve decided I don’t want to date at all. I’m wasting my own time”

My non negotiables/preferences is we have to have very similar personalities, down to the weird coincidental stuff. I never got along with men who don’t have the same humor, video game presences, values on life etc. as me and I don’t think I ever will. I tried and it just sucks

They do that a lot on here and I don’t understand if it’s on purpose or what. I understand telling women the chances of them finding a 6’0+ man is unreasonable but sometimes these women name bare minimum stuff and still get told it’s never gonna happen.

Yep 100% at this stage of life. If I was married and had kids the answer would be no
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 12:42 AM

They usually don’t. They go on to be garbage partners/fathers and leave a mark on their kid. My parents were an age gap relationship and the maturity imbalance issue folks talk about is 100% real. I saw the negatives of an age gap relationship play out in real time throughout my childhood. It’s a mess

This is reality. Honestly this sub is the reason why I stopped lowering my standards. No offense to the people here but yeah I really am having an eye opening experience daily
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/22 08:09 AM

Ugly to the standards of who though? As an African American theres men that legit look like these rappers, zero status, and get women. It’s an entirely different world in our dating circles.

Marriage. Which is why I don't casually date. I don't see a point

I’m convinced people are trying lie to themselves and pretend the only reason younger women aren’t dating older men in these staggering numbers is due to ‘jealousy.’ In reality most younger women are not attracted to older men. Don’t see why this pill is hard to swallow for some
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 08:55 PM

Please do. I’ll be looking out for it. I have a lot of stories to add. It’s rough out there
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 07:53 PM

That’s exactly how it’s going for me. Dating is terrible. Damned if you do and Damned if you don’t
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 08:24 PM

Coming from the POV of a non religious virgin the whole “we’ll wait for the one girl who keeps the rule across the board” thing they like to spread is absolutely false. Dating has been hard and it’s only gotten harder. People cannot grasp I don’t see a point in sex unless love and strong commitment is first. I feel like I’d have better reactions if I told men I have three arms

In my experience as a woman this is usually and surprisingly not true. The men I’ve noticed care the most about body count engage in hookups and casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 06:35 AM

Yeah I’m bi and never had sex with a man. I frequent this sub to see if there’s any point or hope in taking the plunge. The answer so far is absolutely not.

I’m in the same boat but I’m a little younger than you. 22 still a virgin. Honestly subs like these + real life experience is making me not wanna have sex or even date. It seems very doom and gloom that as a woman my “value” is based on who I sleep with. Why should I be excited to sleep with anyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 02:25 PM

I don’t understand why this concept is so hard for people to grasp
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 02:14 PM
2

Yeah this comment section is confusing me. I keep seeing “if she’s slept around I now know I won’t want her for commitment, I only want sex.” So now I know to avoid men who have had one night stands. Cause as a low n count woman I’m ngl this comment section is grossing me out

I constantly get this response and I just don’t understand why. What’s the point in lying about something so odd lol. Thanks for the happy new year wishes. Same to you :) also out of curiosity is there a specific reason why you’re waiting?

Sorry. I’m a black woman I’m speaking from experience
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 12:55 AM

Tired of people deeming me a liar when I say I’m a virgin. There’s zero perks to lying about something like this. None. But thanks I hope so too. I’m losing hope

That’s what I say every time.

Personally speaking I’m losing more incentive to date the more educated I become. I’m not into hookup culture so it’s like “well what’s the point?”
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 11:36 PM

I am and that would be an extremely weird thing to lie about. Especially on an app like Reddit of all places.

Would rather chew glass than date an older guy
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 11:30 PM

Yeah spend enough time around gay men you’ll hear the inevitable conversation about how it’s legit impossible to find someone who wants a monogamous relationship. Hookup culture is on steroids in the lgbtq community
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 11:08 PM

I thought the trope was women who can’t get chad sleep around then hit 30 and hope by then he wants to settle down? If I was desperate for chad why would I be a virgin at 22?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 11:06 PM
4

Yeah you’re right I worded it terribly. What I should of said was being a virgin taught me men claim online that’s what they want and we’re seen as ‘ideal’ but when you won’t sleep with them after a week you’re seen as a prude and disposed

Their obsession with purity stops online. Trust me as a female virgin the whole trad act stops in its tracks online

Thank you. I keep seeing this “they only want the top 20%!!!?!!?” And then I turn around and look at real life people I know having real life relationships. These dudes are not the top 20%

Where have you lived? I’m Nigerian and have traveled all through various countries in east and west Africa + south east Asia + the Middle East. The top 10 countries of highest child sexual violence cases are not western countries at all. The claim that women outside these “feminist western” countries care so deeply about their children is false I’ve seen it first hand and stats back it the hell up. Yes they have a stronger family unit outside America by a long shot but that doesn’t mean zip. Hav…

I game heavily and acquired a lot of interesting male friends over the years. I also used to scour mgtow and an app named memedroid over a decade ago. Although memedroid is just memes there was a pretty hefty “incel” community on the app. From personal experience the most misogynistic men I’ve met are unattractive.

It is rare. Very rare. I’m 22 and never met a man like me ever
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 10:19 PM

This is 100% true. As a female virgin I can tell you rn it’s two different groups of people
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 10:18 PM

Trad American men don’t exist they cherry pick from older values. As a female virgin trust me they don’t exist

Every time I see that argument I know said person hasn’t stepped out into the real world. Irl ugly women are not being picked up by the masses by “chads.” Not at all
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 10:05 PM

The irony of this comment man. Every time I read one of these comments I can tell said person has not spent long enough time in a rural part of the world. This is absolutely not one of those western feminism issues by a long shot. Not at all
