This behavior is indicative of a Madonna-Whore Complex, which is not uncommon among men. It's not the qualities of the girl that are the issue - you could find your ideal partner & still feel this same way about her after having sex. But this only an issue for you if you're the type of guy who enjoys relationships.

Obviously there are a number of different ways to measure the success of marriage. I was only referring to marriage success at its most base level - whether it keeps going or ends. I recognize that there are plenty of people who remain in unhappy marriages for whatever reason (religion, financial security, etc.) However I feel that this a reasonable thing to consider, if we are talking about women maximizing their chances of being in a marriage. That doesn't mean just starting one, it also means…

I'm curious how one would balance this information with the fact that couples in which both partners marry later in life and have at least a bachelor's degree tend to have significantly more successful marriages long term than couples where partners marry young and have no higher-ed degree. Obviously to get divorced you'd need to be married in the first place, but what is the point in aggressively pursuing marriage early if your odds of it failing are so much higher? It seems like a catch 22. So…

I completely agree that what you suggest is the correct response to that sort of thing, but the intent of the partner threatening suicide is to manipulate the other into staying with them. The purpose behind my post was to communicate that I believe it's incorrect to immediately dismiss all emotional abuse as bullshit.

Just because she doesn't want to be in a relationship with him doesn't mean she's totally cool with him killing himself. Women are not all the complete succubi they get made out to be here. It's emotionally abusive because it attempts to force her to stay in a relationship, which she no longer wants to be a part of, out of the fear that someone she was close to will die.

Threatening to commit suicide in an attempt to stop your partner from breaking up with you is emotional abuse. Since he did that it would be completely unsurprising if he pulled that kind of shit during the relationship. It sounded like a shitty relationship between two 20-year-old kids that never had a future regardless of the other guy because they had fundamental differences in opinion. Neither one of those guys sounds like a real winner to me & the top comments are condemning her for her emo…

You posted this here seeking validation that you are not going to recieve. Instead, you are getting told the same thing every schmuck gets told whenever he goes on a mission to convert his friends or family: don't do it. Aside from that fact that it is unwise to try to spread controversial ideas such as these when unsolicited, there are better strategies you can employ if you insist on being self-serving and disseminating this wisdom. Have the conversation in person. You can gauge their reaction…

You are way too affected by things outside of your control if shitty cars you don't drive (or promiscuous women you don't fuck) get under your skin. The same way OP had to come here after a few people on the internet were mean to him & tell his bros he is totally not a virgin & hasn't been for years. Move past the anger stage - care less about things you cannot control, especially things that do not directly affect you. You'll be happier for it.

There are a ton of other negative qualities you wouldn't be able find out about from an online profile or a single meeting (eg. bad relationship with parents, drug use, etc). Where I come from, sifting through all that crap is called "getting to know someone," and it's a crucial part of any new relationship, romantic or otherwise. Not every woman you attempt to date is going to be a winner, but there's no point in getting mad about it. Just move on to the next (hopefully better) one.

Then don't fuck or date promiscuous women. I cannot understand why some people on here get so worked up over what consenting adults, who are complete strangers, are doing with their genitals. Most men can at least appreciate a slutty woman for what she is useful for: non-committal sex. If you went in there trying to change opinions, a little more tact might have served you well. People actually tend to respond well to trp theories when phrased in a more palatable way. If your only goal was to in…

I see the "wisdom" on here frequently that if you're looking to increase you chances for a successful relationship, you should date/marry Asian women. Interestingly, this 2008 study On interracial relationships found that couples with a white-male/Asian-female are actually more likely than white/white couples to get divorced. It's only a 4% increase in likelihood, not a statistically significant amount, but the Asian wife is definitely not the superior substitute for western women a lot of peopl…

The divorce rate for couples with children is ~40% lower than the divorce rate for childless couples, so the odds are not actually 50/50 in that situation. Divorce rates also drop significantly for couples who are older, wealthier, & never-married before. A man who can afford a surrogate independently probably possesses most, if not all, of these traits and has very low odds for divorce if he makes a wise choice in his wife. It's up to the individual to decide for themselves, but I'd argue that …

A superficial investigation into the matter would lead to these conclusions, however there are a multitude of factors that are more influential than the parents' sex. For starters, although single fatherhood is on the rise, single mother households outnumber single father ones 3 to 1. Overall, single fathers are also more likely than single mothers to be white, be older, and have higher incomes. All of which are correlated to having more successful offspring. - Source But even if you're complete…

You'd have to make an account to access the whole article, but the abstract from this study states, "there is little evidence that offspring are better off or develop particular characteristics in one household versus the other. We suggest that theorists have overemphasized the role of parent's sex in youths' development at the expense of understanding more structural explanations for the association between family structure and well-being." In other words, this study found when factors such as …

Just because you can do it doesn't make it a great idea. The odds of producing a happy, successful, and well-adjusted child are still significantly better if he or she is raised in a two-parent household. Although a single alpha father who is actively involved in the child's life is more likely do a somewhat better job than a single, alpha-widowed mother.

6 months is a reasonable amount of time to figure out if you love someone; so I wouldn't be worried that it's inherently too early. However this depends on you: how well you know him & how well you know yourself. Do you think he loves you already? Do you think he would say it back to you? How would you react if he didn't say back? You have to weigh the risk & reward for yourself. Here are my experiences with saying it first (I've always been comfortable being the instigator when I want to progre…

It was just another trendy youth subculture to belong to, like goth or scene or hipster. Males were equally a part of it as females. There aren't many emo girls around now because like all trends, it's popularity has waned with time.

For starters, we did have a nanny living with us while I was growing up, which I know is not something every family wants or is able to afford. We needed someone in the house because being doctors they could both be called out in the middle of the night & you just can't leave small children to fend for themselves. However, neither of them treated the nanny as an opportunity to stop being a parent; I certainly don't feel like I was "raised" by any of the nannies & harbor no resentment towards my …

Not exactly what you're looking for, but hopefully this will give you some confidence! My parents have been happily married for 25 years and are probably the best couple I have ever met. My mother earns a significant amount more than my father does - although not an absurd amount more as they are both physicians and she is just in a more lucrative speciality than he is. In addition to bringing home the bacon, she also cooks it! Despite working ~60 hours a week she prepared family dinners almost …

All of the sources I've read about the incident, including the one you posted here, indicate that the boyfriend/nephew walked in on them in the act with the uncle on top, not during post-coital snuggles as you suggest. It also sounds like the boyfriend decided it was rape & started beating the shit out the uncle before the girlfriend even had an opportunity to say anything about it. I think TRP shouldn't waste it's time defending alleged rapists in what basically amounts to a he-said/she-said si…

The false-rape accusation hysteria on here is almost as bad as the feminist rape-culture hysteria sometimes. Best case scenario: this guy is an idiot. Worst case: he's a rapist. I would be equally unsuprised if either were true. There is really not enough information provided in the article to determine his guilt or innocence. Although, I suspect he'll be convicted regardless of if it was "consensual" or not because she was drinking, and therefore, according to the law, unable to give consent.

I'd consider it analogous to calling a woman "hot" or "beautiful". Hot is "I am attracted to you". Handsome is "you are attractive". Attractive people can be compared in a Venn diagram; some are one or the other, some are both. Just don't get called "cute".

It's not the needle that would turn most men off. Any medical intervention has the potential for negative, unintended side-effects. They can range from the mildly inconvenient (scrotal swelling) to the debilitating (kidney damage), both hazards listed on the Vasalgel Wikipedia page.

There are a few factors at play here, in addition to feminist suppression mentioned by other users. Male biology is a bit more complicated; in a woman you only need to prevent 1 egg from being fertilized a month but in a man you'd need to prevent fertilization by potentially 1 billion sperm in a single ejaculation. Historically, there has been lower interest from men than from women for medical contraceptives. Drug companies are only going to spend money to develop drugs there is a market for. A…

I would agree that feelings of guilt/regret is one of the most predominant reasons women falsely accuse former sexual partners of rape, however I think this guilt has nothing to do with the amount of pleasure the woman has experienced and almost everything to do with people like you perpetuating a culture where sex is considered immoral. Either they are worried about others opinions or it's been so deeply ingrained in their psyche they are genuinely filled with disgust at their own actions. But …

I was identifying a common belief of many RP members, that I have seen stated across threads in this community. Individuals are, of course, free to determine their own set of morals based on whatever appeals to their sensibilities (organized religion, empathy, rational thought, etc). Personally, I don't consider promiscuity amoral because I believe the negative "life-altering" effects of female promiscuity on others/society are vastly overstated your post. The majority of casual sexual encounter…

Traditionally, TRP doesn't subscribe to the notion of morality as it pertains to sexual interactions. When a man wants to fuck a bunch of sluts and then later settle down with a virgin, it's amoral. When a woman wants to ride the cock carousel and then later settle down with a BB, it's amoral. The opposite sex may find these actions offensive, but they are not inherently immoral. It is just the way contemporary sexuality functions for many human beings. Personally, with regards to promiscuity, I…

The consensus in the red pill community & the field of developmental psychology is that in general, it is much more beneficial for children to grow up in an environment where both parents are together, present, & equally committed to & involved in raising the child. If this bill passed (it won't), it would: increase the number of false rape charges filed against men increase the number of dangerous, back-alley abortions increase the number of single-parent households (except in this case the fat…
