I never thought of it because I don't have crayons in my apartment. I don't know what man does unless he has a child.

You attained the American dream. The problem is, it was just a dream, and most important of all, it wasn't your dream. It was someone else's. You haven't self-actualized. You're a Ken doll. You're phony. Your character is only skin deep. Go deeper, my friend. Learn about the world, yourself, and your place in it. Right now you're the perfect advertisement on the bus stop bench. You're boring and one-dimensional. You're a complete turn-off. You may attract a woman at first glance, but once you op…

I meditate up to 45 minutes each day. Afterwards I feel completely in control and completely whole. The metaphor that is frequently used is that of the ocean. The surface of the ocean is very rough. However, as you descend further and further into the ocean, it becomes still. Your life is the same way. There is a lot of shit going on on the surface of our lives, but through mediation it allows us to go into ourselves to observe all that shit from a place of stillness. You come to realize that yo…

You're right. I probably can do better. Marriage with this girl totally freaks me out.

Also, I did plate this girl for an entire year. Things changed when she took care of me for nearly a week strait after I had surgery. I could tell she really cared about me. After that we decided to make things more serious. But I can't fucking shake her past and some of her habits.

I agree with you. I don't know how exactly she felt about her professor. She told me he wasn't attractive, but it was "just something that worked for her". I remember telling her, "You didn't date any of your peers?" I don't think she had an answer. She liked the guy with authority and power. That scares me. I am trying to make this relationship work, but I feel there are too many cracks. I dunno, man.

Those were my thoughts. Here is another red flag I'd like you evaluate: she was fucking her married professor in college for close to 4 years on and off. She's nearly 30 now, but still. A part of me can't let go of that. She told me she is not that type of person anymore, but I can't shake the feeling that if she is put in a position with an older, hotter, more successful man she will trade up. I am very insecure about this situation, and I think this situation brought those insecurities out.

It is a weird dynamic, and I guess I have tolerated it. It was just the whole "new obsession" comment brought me over the edge. I thought maybe she isn't joking anymore, and she really is kind of obsessed with these guys. This girl says she loves me and everything else in the relationship is good, but I think I just slipped up and broke frame over this and now I kind of feel like a fool.

Thanks for the advice. I needed to hear something like this. It bothers me because it makes me feel like I am playing second fiddle to these guys, even though I know they pose no physical threat. It is irrational, and I did break frame, now I am trying to figure out how I am going to recover from this. I have played that game with her with Keira Knightly, saying how I am obsessed with her, yatta yatta yatta, but my frame on that end isn't very strong because I simply don't give a shit about cele…

I enjoyed the write up. I love red wine. It screams class and romanticism to women like a bottle of beer can never do. Beer makes you feel bloated and you have to pee often. Red wine is usually room temperature, and you sip it slowly, and you play with it in your glass while you have a conversation. You're not going to have to fuck with a full bladder, or excuse yourself during rounding 3rd base to take a piss and ruin the atmosphere. I especially loved this line, "smashed through that shit like…

When she said she wanted to order the $30 Mahi Mahi, that's when the TRP in me and the cheap Asian in me said Fuck that, no way. Lol, I love you, dude. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Putting moral arguments aside, I am pretty sure this would be unconstitutional. Any lawyers here want to weight in?

I cheated on my last GF (now ex-GF). I was very discreet. After I broke it off with the girl whom I was cheating with, she sent my GF emails and texts I had sent her basically blowing the whole situation up - she was pissed I did not want to be with her. GF forgives me in the end, but to this day she cannot forgive that girl for humiliating her like that.

I never thought that improving yourself and your relationships with women was a political question. I still don't. It's apolitical, and it should stay that way.

I've been there. I was in a 3 year long relationship with a girl who convinced me to become vegan. After college I was down to like 135 pounds and without a job because I invested so much in this girl. I invested zilch in myself in college. About six months after college she departs for a weekend vacation "to find herself". Upon coming back she "wants to be friends". I was heartbroken, and for the next few months I wanted to get her back. She allowed me to hold her and stroke her hair but she wo…

This is true of all marketing, regardless of sex. What do you think this ad is playing on, your logical nature? No. It's appealing to your emotional connections to manliness, and to an aesthetic abstraction of what a man is. Of course it is a thin veil to hide their made-in-China shit clothing, but if they can hit that emotional chord with you, they've won.

Thanks, bro. I followed the wiki link you provided for differential calculus and now I understand differential calculus completely!

This is good advice, but there are ways to communicate effectively and honestly and get what you want at the same time. It could go something like this using a technique of negative inquiry and honesty to exhaust her instead of using silly responses (which is okay, but it is only one strategy; men shouldn't feel that there is a single way to solve a problem): Ashley: I have a kind of personal question to ask you... Ashley: How many girls have you slept with? Be honest. Me: Why is it that you wan…

Did a girl, a complete stranger, who was sitting next to you in the movie theater really ask you to buy her something from the concession stand? I can't take this post seriously.

Umm.. That was kind of the point. She said she "initially" wanted to take down the patriarchy, but the sad truth she realized in the end is that people, especially men, are very lonely in this world, and these poor, wretched walking erections will pay her to feel something.

She said, "initially". I don't understand how she is hamstering. She sounds like she actually has her shit together, and she found a sad truth over and beyond her "feminism" in the end - the lonely, tragic condition of mankind in the modern world, which, TRP also tries to address and correct, in their own way. And, damn, I thought women hit "the wall" around 30? How is it that I find this woman attractive?

I'm pretty sure the Marxist Feminist Movement is about 0.00001% of our population. Why are you so worried about it?

Have you actually met a woman like that, or are you just using it as a stupid example to prove your point? I've never in all my life met a girl who said cooking is sexist.

Wow. Really ignorant post. I live in an area (in southern California) that his heavily Hispanic, but I do my grocery shopping in an area that is more affluent. The difference is astonishing. The children and people in the area where I live are fat, pushing strollers with fat children, and all around in poor physical and financial health. The people in the grocery store where I shop are mostly Caucasian, fit, friendly, and their kids look happy and healthy. It's all about economics, not "American…
