It may also be absolutely ok that you don’t have motivation for sex even with someone you deeply connect with and love romantically.

Thank you! It's just hard to decide if I want to/can accept or not. Especially when I haven't met his child / interacted with the child's mother. But boyfriend does not want me to meet the child unless he doesn't see me going anywhere.

Also! If it makes you feel bad and uncomfortable repeatedly, is this what you want for the rest of your life? I think it's important to have a husband who makes you feel comfortable.

You need to suggest moving in together because he might not even want to do that with you.

I’m 30F and when I was 26-27, I dated a 30-31 yr old that now in hindsight I know was wasting my time. 24 is young(ish), but people I know who are in wonderful marriages who started dating their husband around that age, also got married within a couple of years.

It's really helpful when you find the therapist that works for you. Shop around. Don't feel discouraged if they say something you disagree with. Every therapist is an unique person. Find one who is empathetic and respects you. Processing trauma takes time. Personally I looked for a psychodynamic/psychanalytic psychotherapist (registered psychologist) because I wanted someone who could dissect my pattern of dysfunctional behaviors and thinking with me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
