1	Serious question: What would be the equivalent of a draft for women? Eh idk I think forcing birth is different than forcing military labor. The equivalent would be forcing women to do the same physical tasks like manual labor/fighting, or whatever their sex would be better suited to (women are more flexible and have higher endurance than men). If we forced women to give birth, then men would have to be forced to use their body in some way to sustain life (if we’re trying to be as literally equal as possible). 1	Is it actually true women could not work, could not go to school, could not own property, could not have a bank account, etc etc? They were limited to service roles for a long time (teachers, maids, secretaries, waitresses, etc.). Eventually it became less of legality preventing them from reaching “higher jobs” and sexist attitudes. Lots of older women can tell you instances of being told to their face they wouldn’t be hired because they were a woman. I can’t vouch for the property, bank account, loan, etc. I believe for a while, married women couldn’t do those things without a husband’s approval. Especially with the way abortion rights are going, she will be unlikely to get rid of it. It also gives the baby a better quality of life, since most people can’t afford a baby alone. 2	Physical tasks I think like 99% of jobs can be and should be equally accessible to men and women but at a certain point we have to acknowledge men are built differently than women. Throwing women into these heavy physical jobs (except for the rare ones strong enough) for the sake of gender equality is idiotic. Doesn’t mean they’re intellectually inferior, it’s not personal. 1	What are mens rights activists still fighting for? It’s less literal legal rights and more general social attitudes. There are certain areas it’s acceptable to shit on men for being men and treat them as less than (outside of online, in the actual real world). And honestly, I’ll accept that there’s some things left for feminism to do in how they’re treated in medical environments, lack of research in certain female conditions, etc. But the problem is they feel like addressing our issues is somehow getting in the way of that. I read a couple of insightful posts from a real deal radical feminist the other day (don’t ask, long story). The main point that the concept of femininity (in terms of grooming) revolves around being attractive to men. Of course her take was therefore it was bad, a cage, and shouldn’t be indulged in at all. I think that’s very extreme but it was interesting to hear a women admit what we’ve been saying for so long. Sure the colors, patterns, and specific details are chosen for you.
