First girlfriendPsychologist Daniel Kahnman says that the more we are exposed to something the more it feels true. **It's a "lie told many times becomes a truth" logic. If you've been exposed to TRP like everyday for the past year, reading their circular logic fallacies, and most or all of your dating experience is rooted on TRP then it's gonna be hard to detox, as all still feels true. It's actually kind of scary how this works, when you think about it. | /r/ExRedPill | 24/03/17 02:14 PM
What's your best evidence against hypergamy?Yeah, among other things, I gave the same reply as /u/Five_Decades to an TRPer, and their answer was what you just said. | /r/ExRedPill | 23/03/17 06:36 PM
What's your best evidence against hypergamy? Thanks for linking those papers, and of course, for a good response. Now, if i may ask, what is the scientific evidence that TRP has on hypergamy? There is none. According to many, it's an observable phenomenon (e.g. when women seek out men with high status and/or wealth which does occur). I tried debunking it myself, but particular individuals I had discussions with ALWAYS find a way out, albeit it's not a reasonable one. I gave up on reasoning with TRPers. But nevertheless, I was still curious… | /r/ExRedPill | 23/03/17 06:30 PM
What's your best evidence against hypergamy?Good response. Thanks. | /r/ExRedPill | 23/03/17 09:30 AM
Confession - Help me get to the bottom of thisYeah, that make sense. Not to mention that they're exposed to this stuff from a young age. Media is so trash in my country (then again, it's trash everywhere), and parents don't seem to give a damn. Oh, well. Thanks for the reply. | /r/ExRedPill | 18/03/17 07:54 AM
Confession - Help me get to the bottom of thisWe could drag this conversation on and on, but I believe I got what I was looking for. Thanks for the responses. :) | /r/ExRedPill | 18/03/17 07:50 AM
Confession - Help me get to the bottom of thisMy question for you is: How well do you know the young women you're basing your opinion on, and where are you meeting them? At my college, the local cafe, through my social circle. I'm kinda popular at my college, and I've met and talked to a lot of girls. My deductions come from the conversations themselves, topics they talk about, and of course, their answer to my "What do you like to do when you're not busy?" question which I always ask. You specify women "from the ages of 18 to late twenties… | /r/ExRedPill | 17/03/17 11:46 PM
Confession - Help me get to the bottom of thisThank you for the response. Immaturity could be it, I suppose, as I'm a freshman. And my interactions were primarily with, you guessed it, freshman girls. As for shallowness, we're all shallow in one way or another, in my opinion. So I tolerate a small amount of it. What I don't tolerate, among other things, is what I described in my OP. And it, quite frankly, baffles me how common it is. | /r/ExRedPill | 17/03/17 11:22 PM
"Spiritual Reason a Woman Needs a Successful Man" - thought you guys might find this amusingShame, it only gets worse, and worse...and worse. | /r/MGTOW | 12/03/17 09:27 AM
"Spiritual Reason a Woman Needs a Successful Man" - thought you guys might find this amusingBack in the day, it was religion. Now, Spirituality combined with pseudo-science is what brainwashes people. Except it brainwashes people into spending money on half-assed, hardly informative books, courses, seminars, and what not. Not into hurting others. Well, at least this new amalgamate is far more harmless. | /r/MGTOW | 11/03/17 06:17 PM
"Spiritual Reason a Woman Needs a Successful Man" - thought you guys might find this amusingI am not a spiritual person, but I can see why someone who is would get offended by these filthy little thieves and liars. I guess it's a new trend to butcher spirituality, and use it as an excuse for ignorance and/or bad behavior. | /r/MGTOW | 11/03/17 05:31 PM
Evolutionary Psychology DebateAh, a transhumanist, you say? I've never actually spoken with one before, but I do know what transhumanism is about. Our views are opposing, you see, because I am proud of my animalistic nature. I embrace it. We could go on and on, how we disagree with one another. But that will lead us nowhere. Instead, how about you tell me how you would like the society to be, how do you imagine humanity upgrading their brains... Tell me your dreams, man/woman! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/01/17 05:24 PM
Evolutionary Psychology DebateThere's always at least one shiny gem in a barrel of shit. But that shiny gem doesn't nullify the existence of shit. I'll stop speaking in tongues now. So, evo-psych has some things right, but there's a lot of speculation (which is the case with psychology in general, but it's more present in evo-psych, I'd say). Our minds have indeed evolved, but not to a great degree. They're still "acting" as though we're living amongst predators, hence why women seek safety, even if they're living in cozy ci… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/01/17 04:59 PM
Q4RPmen do you think its possible for someone to pick certain aspects of red pill beliefs and apply it effectively to their life, while rejecting other aspects of the concept? The only ones that are applicable to a healthy person's life are the ones that are pretty much common sense. Such as: to lift, focus on yourself, make yourself the number one priority, don't put women on pedestals, improve your game - and by game I don't mean the bullshit that TRP and PUA promotes. But real game. I recommend reading Mark Manson's work if you're interested on this topic Everything else TRP spouts is utter garbage. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/01/17 07:58 PM
Isn't TRP just commonsense evolutionary psychology? This is but a small collection, but here you go: https://www.reddit.com/user/RedPillDetox/submitted/ Feel free to read scientific articles that have been posted in those threads. In fact, in one of those threads is an article where well-respected anthropologists debunk and reject Briffault's law - a law that TRP loves to bring up and be like, "See, bro, even science agrees!" When, ironically, science does not agree. edit: added an extra sentence | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/01/17 05:39 PM
Isn't TRP just commonsense evolutionary psychology? No, it's not. It's abridged evo-psych, which, even in the simple form TRP presents, isn't accurate. They tend to twist facts into bullshit so it would fit their little ideology. Here's a tip, get off reddit and invest time in reading proper evo-psych books, then after you've finished, educate yourself on anthropology, THEN start paying attention to people's behavior in your everyday life. You'll see that TRP is nothing more than a coping mechanism for men who are insecure, incapable, hateful, an… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/01/17 05:34 PM
Q4RP -- what advice would you give a female virgin? Then you should have said so to begin with. The title and the content of your thread is misleading. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/01/17 05:09 PM
Q4RP -- what advice would you give a female virgin? My advice to you is forget this pill bullshit, and live your life. Blue Pill vs Red Pill is literally Hollywood fantasy vs Pseudoscience. Be honest with yourself and others, don't be desperate, do what you want, provided that it isn't harmful for you or others, and of course, be careful. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/01/17 11:39 AM
Why is having standards seen as a bad thing?Having good, as well as realistic, standards is fine and in fact healthy. You wouldn't want to be with someone who's unattractive to you, would you? Or someone who'd drive you insane? Or both. People who bitch about (realistic) standards - specifically appearance preferences - are just butthurt and insecure. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/01/17 05:35 PM
What's your specialty in cooking?Seems fun to make; I'm definitely going to try my hand at it this or the next week. Thank you for sharing this! | /r/MGTOW | 10/12/16 08:27 PM
What's your specialty in cooking?Thank you. I made this post out of genuine curiosity, but also because I felt we need a bit of fresh air around here. I believe that we can easily have interesting conversations and share good experiences that don't involve women. That said, I don't mind women-related posts. They are, after all, crucial to this sub and its new members. edit: typo | /r/MGTOW | 10/12/16 08:24 PM
What's your specialty in cooking?Do share them when you feel ready! | /r/MGTOW | 10/12/16 07:54 PM
What's your specialty in cooking?Although I don't eat bread often, I do make my own bread when I decide to do so. It's satisfying, really. Plus, homemade bread beats bought ones. | /r/MGTOW | 10/12/16 07:53 PM
What's your specialty in cooking?A healthy choice, I'd say. | /r/MGTOW | 10/12/16 07:49 PM
