It's great training for bigger guys and the sense of community in those places to my experience is really strong. might make it easier to attend practice when there is a scheduled practice as well as a social aspect to it - double whammy? I'm a big proponent of equal rights(as you are) and after having lurked on this subreddit quite avidly, I found that there are indeed very good resources for members of abusive relationships here in Norway. This website is completely gender-neutral and offers both decent advice, other resources and a helpline for all varieties of domestic- and relational abuse.
