Sure, but that's pretty universally true of all people. There's zero evidence that men are any more logical than women

For someone who's so defensive about this sub you don't appear to be very active in it. Why don't you contribute positively to the content you'd like to see instead of shitting all over someone else? Honestly, why'd you even open this post?

Being illogical is the whole point, I'd say. Their entire ideology is flimsy and falls apart under the smallest amount of pressure. The only way to maintain it is to completely write off women's opinions and arguments by claiming that women are incapable of logic, so that they can disregard anything a woman says in opposition to their ideas. It helps them explain to themselves why it's impossible to hold their narrative together whenever they present it to a woman and protects them from having t…

In addition to what others have commented, there does seem to be a real terror amongst men about paying a woman after divorce. I've heard complaints about splitting a 401(k), which makes no sense because if they'd stayed married, they would have spent half of it on their wives anyway! I think there did used to be a lot more leeway in alimony laws, where a good lawyer could get a decision that would result in the man having to pay a lot of money to the woman for the rest of her life, and there we…

No. If you read the comments on dating advice, it's not hard to find women who say they can't find a relationship

That would be my base assumption, yeah

There's the possibility of random clumping. It seems that a lot of people don't appreciate the fact that in random processes, numbers tend to clump together in patterns. This surprises us because we think of "random" as "the absence of patterns" when in reality it's "the occurance of every possible pattern in an unpredictable order". So while the things you read tell you about patterns that happen at a large scale when looking at many people, in your own life you're going to end up seeing one pa…

Yes, TRP uses hypergamy to say that women are more picky about physical attractiveness than men (and that they're more likely to leave a man for a more attractive man that comes along). That, again, isn't true, nor is it supported by the article you linked. I don't know whether most single men act in that immoral way; I haven't seen any studies to be able to say what the percentage is. But it's surprising how many men are like that. And in the end, it doesn't even have to be a majority to become…

Hypergamy exists, yes; but TRP asserts that hypergamy is the biological wiring of women and gives advice on how to treat them based on that assertion. This is one of the many ways TRP encourages men to view women as "other", non-human. The reality is that both men and women practice hypergamy depending on their personalities and situation. Furthermore, the post you linked to doesn't even describe hypergamy. Hypergamy is when a person constantly looks to partner with someone better off than thems…

The Blackpill is hateful and there's nothing scientific about it. What is scientific is confirmation bias, aka "you see what you expect to see." I get that you've had a lot of painful experiences. That really sucks. But Blackpill is only going to make you more miserable. There was a study about luck. Researchers gave people an exam to measure how lucky they saw themselves to be. They then gave those people a newspaper and told them to look for a specific article in it. They put an advertisement …

These are all great examples of ways that TRP teaches things that actively undermine your ability to have a good relationship. They're giving you a narrative where even good, exciting parts of forming a new relationship are actually, secretly, bad things. The human mind operates off of stories, and they're teaching you a toxic story.

Have you been to r/AskFeminists? They will immediately ban the type of feminists you mention. You're reading the wrong articles. Finding stuff by extremists in one group doesn't justify attaching yourself to extremists in another.

Sharing several videos showing that there are women who go to bars and aren't looking for a relationship is anecdotal and doesn't come even close to proving anything TRP claims. There are also young women who would like to be in a relationship, and even get married, although there are a lot of reasons why that's not advisable at a young age. If a young man wants to be in a relationship with a woman, he should a) figure out what he wants and be upfront about it, in order to filter out the women w…

This article is encouraging women to be ok with spending some time figuring out what they want before getting married, and not obsess over getting things right the first time. Yes, she's using the same terms as TRP but not with the same meaning. The advice she gives applies to both men and women, and it certainly doesn't support TRP. It does support a woman having several sexual relationships before getting married, something that TRP for bad reasons hates, but that's a problem with TRP, not wit…

"Hypergamy" makes sense in a society where men hold all the power, so in order to get any power of their own, women are forced to try to get men who have more power. Most societies in recorded history have been like this, leading many people to assume it's "human nature". But now that women increasingly have access to power without needing a man to mediate it, this pressure to find a "higher value man" is less, and it's becoming much more common for men and women both to choose partners based on…

A lot of all sorts of men get laid. That's exactly the point. These communities act like they have a viewpoint that leads to more sex, but it doesn't. In fact, at least for alllll the women I know, it leads to less sex.

No. They're bullshit. My ex-wife started dating a similarly-attractive, less-wealthy man after we divorced. The other women I know are with all sorts of men, not "alphas" (which isn't even a thing with humans); one of them who enjoys hookups the most doesn't even like the jock/athlete type at all. Almost all the men I know have female partners, regardless of wealth or attractiveness. Your replies to comments on this thread show a lack of respect for women and a skewed way of viewing relationship…

Everything about it is wrong. Individual people choose to be with other individuals for a variety of reasons. The pattern implied by this statement, along with the whole idea of alpha and beta, is wrong. None of this is how people work

If the only thing you want is sex, then paying for it is really the only way to go. If what you want is to connect with a woman as a person in an intimate relationship, where sex can be (but doesn't have to be) part of the connection, then you need to work on understanding what's important to the woman from her perspective and care about what her experience is. (Saying things like "prevent women from being promiscuous" is going to signal to many women that you don't care what their experience is…

No, there needed to be a change from the past where men held financial and social power over women and thus could expect a woman to stay with them without having to put in a lot of work. That is changing now, and it's better that way. I wasn't a good husband, and so my wife left to find a better relationship. That's what she should do. And that's the reason I brought it up: it's an example like you requested of a woman who isn't with someone just for money or looks. She is with someone who is mo…

This attitude by itself is going to drive away many (most?) women today, especially healthy ones. If being with a woman is important to you, understanding their experience needs to be important to you too. And one of the bigger things that many women say repeatedly is that there is a thing called emotional labor and they're expected to do the majority of it. You should take that seriously

My wife divorced me and is now dating someone with a lower income than me and about the same level of attractiveness. Dating choices involve a lot of factors. What you think you're seeing is likely due to random clumping of a statistical process along with some cognitive biases (especially confirmation bias). It can be hard to shake those biases without experience, but reading a lot of articles and books written by women can help.

The mistake is dating someone only for their looks. Choosing just one factor as a go/no-go criteria for dating is not a good basis for a happy relationship.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
