Before I went to grad school I transitioned from the military (surrounded by men) to healthcare (surrounded by women. It was a little weird at first, but after only a month or so it was totally normal. What's the problem with being surrounded with the opposite sex? Sure you have differences it's not impossible to deal with. Also, despite there beint only one three men in my department not once did anyone suggest that address the lack of gender diversity.
