Thanks for your comments. assuming this is true and she has not gone underground. Doesn't matter. We both are aware of the consequences that this would bring. My focus is on my MAP, specifically on continuing to raise my SMV and creating situations that generate positive emotions for her and I to share to raise her attraction to me. As I mentioned on this thread I need to work on getting my own social circle up to par to be less dependent on her for fulfillment and validation while creating a re…

Thanks for the response and question. Honestly, I Googled and found resources that made sense to me. I then journaled using Evernote (available on my phone and computer) and just started describing what was causing me anxiety/fear. Sunday afternoon the picture became clearer to me. I reread NMMNG chapters 3-end Sun-Mon and got myself refocused. I know what triggers those emotions for me and feel confident that I can walk myself back from the ledge. Going out for a drive and just doing some prima…

Here you mean frame. Yeah, at a high level that is correct. I believe the root of the issue/what is missing for me personally is having things outside work, family life and school. As mentioned last week, one if my goals for '18 is to widen my circle of friends. Right now I don't have this and I am no longer content coasting/pretending that it doesn't matter, because it does. I need to develop my own world and not be so god damn dependent on those three spheres b/c it hasn't worked. I need to pr…

Thank you for your response to my OYS Weekly post. I appreciate you taking the time to do so. I looked up the post you mention on The Family Alpha and could not find it. Was it perhaps this one? I completely agree with you regarding the boundary vs. mate guarding issue. In the end, the decision that I made was to not bring it up--yet. Two reasons why: [1] I believe that me attempting to prevent this meeting would have lowered my SMV in her eyes. I have been working damn hard to get my shit toget…

002 - MRP OYS weekly. Sorry, this is long due to a couple of major breakthroughs I experienced over the previous ~5 days. [1] The Kick in the Ass That I Needed TL;DNR Wife runs into old high school friend who supposedly had feeling for her back in the day before Christmas. Set up a dinner to catch up/hang out for after the holidays. My frame originally not shaken until wife comes home gushing [i.e. caught up in the FEELZ] about this guy. Husband's FRAME gets severely tested; forced to reckon wit…

The situation where you were in with your wife, previous to your current/existing state, sounds very similar to mine. I know that she isn't gunning for me. Its apparent in those rare flashes of me doing right that she wants to be lead/submissive by a capable man. Your "man who just gets it" comment is spot on in describing something that she vocalized indirectly during rough patches in our marriage where we would fight/argue and this sort of narrative would pop out of her mouth. I recognize it n…

I agree on your first point regarding 'lazy'. I'm becoming much more process oriented to avoid getting attached to an outcome. I stay busy/get busy, refocus my mind elsewhere and almost always come out on top afterwards. not puking those feelings out every time they hit my brain forced me to deal with them all by myself. If you release them as they come up, you don't have to deal with them. If you keep them to yourself, you've got no choice but to break it down and understand it. As you do that,…

Hi Reach. First of all--thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. Read and re-read your comment/suggestion several times. I understand what you are communicating and agree. This is my trap (and it sounds like it was for you too) in terms of "people pleasing." Indirectly I also see this as validation seeking (gaining admiration from wife/kids as a result of 'my efforts'.) How did you keep your focus on you? When did it feel "natural" for you to skip that paradigm and shift course? NMMN…
