It's instinctive to push her away, but if you bring her in, she might level out and respect your wishes

I have a thought that has not been mentioned already. Perhaps your MIL is genuinely concerned for the safety of you and your baby. Midwife? Birth pool? Walking around? Rope from the ceiling? Ho-lee-shit! I dig it, but your baby boomer MIL has no fucking idea what's happening. She's probably scared She was raised "how things should be" A doctor for baby time. On your back in a bed, the nurse fluffs your pillow and brings you a sip of water IN THE HOSPITAL (no birth center) Perhaps she thinks you'…

Do you stir the rice while it's cooking? Don't stir the rice while it's cooking.

A cold wet cloth for his eyes is what she gave him. Not something we have ever ever given him before. The kids are poor listeners when underslept, stuck in a tiny condo (so no exercise), and hopped up on sugar. Split but mostly me. I know MIL wants to spend more time. I get it, I know I need to chill too, and thats what I did, but not before some serious frustration. My MIL is in an advanced stage of a serious illness, so unfortunately, there is no taking naps or going on dates, but thanks for t…

There's lots of grocery stores that do Click & Collect too. Do your shopping online, pick it up in an hour. The list is saved for next time too. Easy peasy

Diet is key, however, exercise is great for more than just "getting toned" heart health, maintaining flexibility, balance and mobility, mental health, and calorie burn are all improved with exercise. Changing one's diet takes willpower regardless. Adding in regular exercise is good for the body and soul. If she starts slow and attends regularly, she will benefit. Especially since she has already been cautioned about the potential of overeating because of exercise. Also, by the time OP is ready t…

I don't know about the gym encouraging ppl to overeat, but diet is what counts for weight loss. Not going on a diet, changing your diet. I encourage you to check out intermittent fasting. It's a great way to reduce your calorie intake in a simple and easy to manage way. There are tons of other benefits besides weight loss too.

To add to the great advice you've already received, I suggest you go easy on yourself at first. 15 weeks post partum is not very long. You still have sloppy ligaments, and lots and lots of hormones that change your body significantly. Start slow, focus on form, create the habit and desire to lift. When your body is ready, then you can lift heavy and see some great results. Also, if you are breastfeeding, I suggest you eat clean. Avoid processed/commercially prepared food, but don't restrict calo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
