If guys knew that they were ugly, and that nobody truly desired them, they'd either get violent or go full NEET, and we are seeing both effects. The dating era is defined by pre-Tinder and post-Tinder. Basically whether a guy can use weapons other than looks to get a girl he wants. Pre Tinder was way easier for people who had charm, even online as you could send the first message on Myspace. Once Tinder came around it was 100% about looks. Even if you are chad, you're competing with all the other chads and if one is more chadly than you, even by just a little bit, then you're done.
